Since 2007, I am actually trying to get the time off atm to head up to the datsun Nationals, Only in my GTS tho, saving bringing my coupe out till the Skyline Nationals in 2012.

These were close to 40k when new. The engine is still un opened, Has had while it was out for the resto: Genuine water pump Genuine tensioner and timing belt overhauled oil pump. new belts new injector o rings(the washer things that go into the manifold) new studs for the exhaust manifold, it had a compression test before i brought it and came up good so i haven't felt the need to open it up, The RB30 is well documented as a motor that is capable doing some very very high k's i will get a Compression test carried out while the Gearbox is getting done and post up the results, Its a good Solid car that has never let me down, its not my daily so it sits about locked away and i'm still of 2 minds of weather i want to sell it, Its more about needing the Space than needing the cash. when i say its been lovingly restored i mean it, i have put a lot of "cliche" "Blood sweat and Tears" into the car its not perfect and im still buying bits and pieces for it all the time to keep making it better and better.

Sounds like you could use a Good Coolant/Radiator Flush, Altho If the car was sitting idle for 30>40 Mins Than you would expect the Poor thing to get a little hot, Check your oil Level as a Precaution but be aware they are not the Most accurate Gauges known to man, Good as an Indication but not much more than that,

This has got to be the Best reply to any thread i have seen from Birds, I own a holden Ute, Because they are Cheap, Cheap to Fix Cheap to Insure Cheapish to Run. I dont feel to bad about Neglecting it, and at the end of the day its more of a "Tool" to Use rather than my Skylines which are "Toys" to enjoy.
