Is there any sort of engine failure related to either Hi or Low compression engine?

can i get some opinion of people's 2nd choice of pistons (apart from CP 9:1) for an rb25/30?? car will only run about 1bar of boost im undecided but thinking about these Arias p/n= AP332104 10.6cc dome top 21mm pin 1.280" compression height Only stocked in 0.20 thou oversize (86.5mm). COMPRESSION RATIO 9.2-9.4

question is, where did all the oil go? either its on the ground under your car or while you were driving you were giving everyone behind you a major smoke screen. i say take it to a workshop.

im guessing its the dyno. if that reading is correct then u gained over 100kw over about 500 or so rpm maybe wheelspin?

take the plugs out and kick the engine over, see how much fuel comes out, if its just spraying its ok. if there's alot its over fueling. try narrow down the problem, like d/c the fuel pump relay then check injector pulse and maybe unplug the injectors them selves. even try cleaning the coolant temp sensor. if theres a lack of fuel try blocking the top fuel line that goes to the FPR with ur finger and crank the engine to see if there's pressure. you will know it if there is do all that and you will have a better idea what the problem may be

they dont look anywhere near as bad as the greddy style ones, ive been contemplating.. if u look at the rb20 ones u will see its the plenum with standard runners welded on, suppose u have to remember the postage is another $175 on top.

so there is a leak? if so where is it? and what colour is the fluid? if its the PS pump there's a place in marrickville i think that does reco's shouldnt cost any more that $150 to fix

ill get the balance done for sure.. he didnt really recommend shot peening, he said for the power im chasing the standard rods will be fine and for any higher power to get custom rods. any idea how much shot peening costs peter?

just to give people and idea and to get some feedback called westend, spoke to sam and he seemed like a nice dude, nice to talk to.. acid clean $75 bore and hone $195 linish crank $49 bearings (king bearings) $55 $75 forgot to ask about crack testing and balancing a crank ill call back when i got my pistons..

looking for some workshops that do good work with boring, honing, crank linishing and general reco work for engine blocks. If people could list places that they have used and have no problems recommending it would be great. also prefer places that are inner sydney. thanks

if you were up to page 120 you would know to use the rb30 pistons and an 93 model rb25 would be series 1

so you have tested other brands of manifolds? can you post some results and what brands. thanks

make sure you get a good brand like sfs or something else as ive used 2 types in the past and with both i had them burst

all they wanted to do was get past, once they passed you they saw they couldnt get past the traffic in front so they tunred the siren off.. whats the big deal, dont be so paranoid

its on the bottom pointing down. what u have recieved is correct there are 3 lines and the bottom is the oil drain that u can reuse. just have a look at your set up and u will understand better.

question: rocket industries says that with arias rb25/30 forged pistons comp is 9.5-9.8:1 (part #ap332105) and with standard rb30 nonturbo forgies the comp is standard (#ap340754) which would be better? is 9.5:1 too high? and does everyone agree the information is accurate? forgive me if this has been answered as im only up to page 160 of so in reading this.. thanks edit: all good, found this but is 9.2-9.4:1 too high comp?
