ok i finally got home from working on my car, i tried the thinner thing and it works.... but i wouldnt suggest it because it works on the plastic too lol, if your very careful it will look good , i didnt have another part to the cluster to try prepwash on but i think that will do the job perfect. pics in the morning... its sleep time now

as i said in you members thingy, im playing with a spare dash (read:destroying ), im gunna see what can remove the green stuff tonight/tomorrow and let you know, ill take some pics too if you want?

bugger, the damage doesnt look too bad mate, the radiator support panel will pull out easy but it looks like you need some new panels ... take it to some track days if it scares you, best place to learn

personally i wouldnt use a flush on any car what so ever, i have used a cheaper oil to flush an engine before. what type of oil are you using in your car atm?, how hot does the engine get, how dark is your oil and how often do you service it?. the best oil ive found to suit rb25 is motul turbolight 4100(changed every 3000klm) , try flushing your engine out with 2l of gtx2 or similar first (meaning when you empty your oil out, run 2l through the motor with the sump plug still off to flush as much old oil as possible)

yep, seriously , put some thinners in a plastic coke bottle and see what it does . not on the outside, on the inside btw(of the dials)

you must work near me yong gtr, i saw your car all last week going past my work. its nice updates for my cars, the 33 has just been detailed inside and buffed so its looking showroom again, the ceff is in bits atm while im modifying a few things

the green is on the dials , the lights have a funny blue plastic cap over them though, ill take pics in the morning and put em up

i have a dash lying about, ill pull it apart and let you know tonight, usually theyre green paint on plastic which you can get off with a lil thinner

you could have mine for 15.5k without the wheels , its off the road atm though getting the starter motor rebuilt because it had a dry bearing noise

not a bad effort for a first time mate, the bubbles you got in the Apillar were from applying your coates too close together (i.e the thinner soaked into the primer/filler causing it to bubble up) also known as frying up . with the pearl, it mixes very well in clear and gives you a deeper pearl look(for next time). i hope you have some paint left if you damage a guard because it sounds like you have a pretty unusual colour . and last of all, pull as much off your car as you can(i.e tail lights) because it makes it easier/quicker to mask up and looks better from having no tape lines

its not a faulty wire?, or spark plug?. thats all it can really come down to. my 33 has stock coilpacks and i havent even touched the plug gap and its never missed a beat

ive never heard of a rb20Det that isnt multi coilpack, id suggest the multi one but the other could be modified?(as in it may have a 'wasted spark' setup?... get pics , then think about it

how far away from melb cbd are you mate? and are you willing to hold it for a couple of weeks if i buy it?. cheers

there isnt much difference between them on paper, its when you drive them you notice theyre much nicer to drive, i think the basic differences are : different turbo, dual air bag, different front seats, different tune (engine, they have r34 coilpacks) and a few other bits and pieces its too late at night to remember lol.NOTE: like most things, with a skyline you get what you pay for so dont look for the cheapes, look for the best one you can afford p.s thanks

that would indicate that its not a type m huddy. alot of 4 doors arent dont put fish oil on yer car mate, it will do more harm than good, sand it back and prime it and get some spray can black and itll be good as new

LOL @ 2) mr eps r33 4 doors have the same amount of headroom as a31, i have one of each. you can buy my 33 , coilpacks are the only problem you will encounter... 13k im guessing your looking at a series 1 , mr eps was talking (i think) about s2 which are 15k up where as r34 are 18k up
