Anyone Replaced Their S1 Rb25 With An S2 Rb25?
toffy replied to D-limo's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
dont talk shit about the s2 turbo, its as good as any other rb25 turbo(if not better than all but the r34 type), and yes its simple to make the plugs im talking about fit, if your keep your s1 motor close and whatever doesnt fit switch onto the s2, easy as . -

i bought standard coilpacks with ngk iridium 9s, i didnt see the need for splitfires as im not aiming over 200rwk and i can get the standard ones for trade price which is $50 cheaper than slitfires each coil. i didnt end up hitting the dyno because my plans on modifications have changed a little , ive decided to take my time making the cai and im about to pm gmb to ask him if he still has that old smic that came off his 32 along with a water spray kit, i can tell you now how to make a water spray kit cheap: go to a wrecker and buy the biggest squarest window squirter bottle you can find (being in hobart ill suggest hobart truck spares because they have 4x4s and such, make sure they have the pump on them though as this makes it alot easier). next you buy the hosing (in my case because im using a smic im gunna get some 2nd hand stuff with the bottle) next you co to the local hardware store and buy a garden spray kit (the nozzles and whatever associated to plumb them into the water squirter) then fit it to the best possible spot you can find on your car and wire/plumb it up i might take some photos and do a diy thread for it? as for the bonnet lifting, if you dont want to do that then look under your bonnet and think how else you can flow air through there to keep temps down, im sure thered be a way pics will come soon

Let Have A Look For A31 In Hk
toffy replied to A31 in HK~ CHiAUS's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
nice car, id love to see some more pics -
theres heaps of minor differences actually, the main one being the tps (s2 has 2 small boxes on the throttle body and s1 has only one), the pfc would have provisions for either i believe, but ive never used one so i couldnt tell ya

Cefiro Rear Speaker Installation Diy
toffy replied to funkymonkey's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
1.) you push on the front of the lower back seat with your knee awkwardly which makes it very easy to get the back seat out , ill put a pic up if you want step 3) for peeps who dont often pull plastic plugs, id suggest using needle nose pliers because youll have more chance of not breaking the plug 33sedan.) 33 rear seats (i have a 4 door too) have 2 bolts at the bottom of the lower rear seat (10mm head in memory) and the same for the upper rear seat, otherwise theyre pretty much the same also: i can take pics of a step by step of installing a head unit and 6x9s if anyone is interested?, and a how to make door pods for 6in front speakers? -
i have that problem....

the ecu IS different between s1 and s2
-
im betting your midrange problem has something to do with the .6mm gap , i havent even touched the plug gap in my 33 but i have bought new coilpacks, if you have a pod that can also cause the flat spot so make a cai of some sort, have you tilted your bonnet up at the rear yet? (im gunna gap my plugs this w/e to .9 just to see if it makes any difference in performance, reset my timing(bcause its been retarded for ages) and make myself a waterspray kit and a cai of some dodgy description , then its off to the dyno for a power run to see what its makin ), ill post up the dyno figure when i get it
