  1. Dont forget about the wiring - the car has been designed to run 55W globes. If you increase the globe to an 85W one, you're increasing the current by 55% - this is probably still safe, but if you were to significantly overload the wiring, you'll melt it and potentially start a fire.
  2. Search button is your friend... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...clear+indicator http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...clear+indicator http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Cl...clear+indicator I'll be doing this mod soon, either that or buying a new front bar.
  3. Nothing wrong with hijacking Dale... i'm looking at kits at the moment too, and am interested in what you're posting.
  4. You 32 drivers are lucky to have such a large boot! 33 boots are shoe boxes!
  5. Yep, and his signature doenst have a link to a thread or webpage... Was interested if his ways are any different from what i know.
  6. I had this same dillema, and chose 19's. 18's would have been a bit cheaper for tires, and a bit more comfortable riding, but i choose 19's for the extra appearance.
  7. I put new pads in, and could fit the shims in, but not these shim clips. Pads squeeled like cops. I filed the edge of the brake pad down so i could fit clips in, still squeeled. Tried some brake goo, still squeeled. Got rotors machined, for $55 for a pair, 100% silent! Other mechanic quoted $15 a rotor ($30 per pair), but he didnt work Saturdays, so had to pay a bit more.
  8. Madaz, I never got a PM from you re Steve's details. Can you please post/PM - i'm still after an O2 sensor!
  9. I thought you'd need it for compliance?! Some airbag systems have sensors so if the seat-belt is done up, air bag will activate. If plug is unplugged, airbag controller will think the seat belt is not done up, and possibly air bag wont activate.
  10. I've got a similar problem with my car. Red 'door open' light and the interior light flashes on and off, happens more over bumps, or under hard acceleration. I'm assuming ive got a loose wire in the boot, which runs from the boot to my alarm. i've seen my red door light dim and fade, so its not like a switch flicking on and off - but more like a bare wire earthing somewhere. Good luck finding your fault, have you tried pulling apart both door switches? Also check if you've got a bonnet-pin switch (possibly fitted by alarm installer). Finally check boot switch which is inside the lock mechanism, in the boot lid.
  11. Oh thanks, didnt realise they are actually called "DMD The Image" http://www.ebridge.com.au/dmdtheimage/
  12. Whats the website for DMD garage??? (Couldnt find it in google)
  13. psiparts.com.au spoilershop.com.au autoworx.com.au
  14. Just for anyone's future reference... Can get stealth wings with the LED light bar from http://www.autoworx.com.au/ They only charge an extra $66 for the light. Thanks for the info steveo_r33!
  15. I'd like to archive my PM's and delete them from my account. Has any thought been put into increasing the "Number of messages to archive"? I'd like to archive all PM's 30 days and older, and i'd like put this in one file, instead of having to do 50 at a time and ending up with several files. It would be good if there was an option to "Archive All"!
  16. I'm running RoadRunner with MapMonkey... give me a hoy if you need Australian maps.
  17. I'm about to buy a stealth wing, and will modify it prior to painting, to fit an LED light strip in there. My GTR wing has one now: Any idea where you can get one of these from? I'd rather not pull it out of my old wing.
  18. I got mine from pandainnovations.com, i think they were a bit cheaper than other online stores.
  19. Oh ok, so the wires must run down inside that tube on the right-hand side of the boot?
  20. Can someone please describe exactly where the boot switch in an R33 is located? My door-light (which signals a door/boot is open) keeps flashing on from time to time. I'd like to check the boot switch is intact, but cant find it. Because of my boot install, i need to know exactly where it is before i start pulling things apart. Thanks for any help
  21. I've got same problem... Where is the boot switch?! I cant find mine....
  22. 2 different sizes? Rears are smaller than fronts?!
  23. New pads were squealing worse than anything i've ever heard, mostly when you are slowing down from say 30kph at red lights. I've pulled the pads out and filed them down, it looks like these Feroda Formulas are larger than the other pads. So now i've got my shim clips back on, and have put some goo on the back, will see how that goes tomorrow. Moral of the thread : the shim clips ARE needed
  24. Sad to see him close, Wally was a top bloke, couldnt be any more helpful.
