  1. Its a fairly faint brown light, hard to see in bright sunlight. Top Left of dash. I didnt know i had one either, until one day i thought i was going run out of fuel, and then the fuel light came on for the first time - since then, ive worked out i have at least 30-40kms after the light comes on.
  2. I'd be interested in an update from you Lee, to see how you've got on with this project. Have you looked into taking it to the next stage, and programming a PIC/microcontroller to interface to a gsm module and gps device.
  3. If my brakes start squealing without the clips, i'll whack some goo on the back. But there is no way the clips are going to fit, these pads must be slightly too big.
  4. I'm putting some new Feroda Formula pads in, this is the first time i've done a pad change and left the calliper on the car. I've placed the metal shim behind the pad, and can squeeze the pad+shim into the caliper, but to do this i need to leave off a little metal clip which holds the shim to the pad. The pad squeezes in quite tight and i cant fit the metal clip in. Will it make a difference if i leave this clip off? Pics below... I want to finish the job in the morning, so any quick help/thoughts are appreciated!
  5. I didnt think there were any differences. If you're worried, why dont you just get the series 1 for your series 1 car (or series 2 if you have a SII)
  6. I sent jetspeed an email (they're still around), but said they've never sold anything with the hole for the light. hrmmm.
  7. Chris has been amazingly patient! How much did you pay for the commodore solenoid?
  8. I agree, always wanted the sleak look since i got my skyline a few years ago, just never got around to spending some money on the exterior. Sounds like i'll have to mod the stealth spoiler myself!
  9. Not for legal reasons... for looks. I like the look of the thin brake light in the spoiler.
  10. I've got pictures of them in a box! Will post when i can find them... This is a pic of someone else's car with them fitted, similar to mine. My head rests are pure black, with blue double-stiching

  12. I think last week at the end, they said it returns later this year. That backs up what Nightcrawler said, April + 6 months. If i had a decent download quota, i'd download the episodes to avoid the 6 month lag, its a great show.
  13. I've found stealth wings on psiparts, spoilershop, carmate and unique auto sports. Does anyone know if one exists with a built in LED tail light, similar to that on my GTR wing: If not, i wonder if its possible to mod the stealth wing before prepping and painting... Also does anyone have a recommendation on what stealth wing to go for? spoilershop was twice the price of psiparts and carmate, im not sure if thats because the quality is twice as good? From what i can tell, they all look pretty similar.
  14. How much you paying for your full re-spray? +1 R34 Lightning Yellow
  15. x2
  16. i got mine from supercrap, i thought they were a bit cheaper than $50 tho. At least if you buy a set, you'll be able to lend them out to your mates in exchange for beer.
  17. My plastic-inner guards were removed when i got my car, from front and rear (some serious guard rolling!). You'll notice small stones and dirt flicking up is a lot noisier.
  18. Also postage to adelaide pls, 5015 if it makes a difference
  19. Spotted a white 32 coming down Anstey Hill, lower north east road - saw you get snakey, bought a smile to my face!
  20. I'm looking at the Koya R1's, any thoughts guys? I LOVE the imagines, wanted something a bit rarer. These come in 9.5" for the rears, and 8.5" for the fronts, bit fatter than the Imagines.
  21. I think when i sprayed my car, it was approx half an hour. It worked out, that when i started on one panel, by the time i'd gotten around the whole car, it wasnt much time to wait before starting the next coat. I cant see any problems with storing the thinned paint in an air-tight container.
  22. I used MetalCast paint, i think its heat rated? My blue calipers have not changed colour.
  23. I've answered #2 by looking at another R32. If you spin the fan with the engine off, it should continue by itself for about 1/4 of a turn. Is it better to replace with a second hand one, or new?
  24. Have you tried nengun.com? When i got my Nismo one, they were the cheapest out of about 4-5 places i tried. Nismo were the same price as the Tomei, so i chose Nismo.
  25. My friend has an R32 GTS, which has developed a noise coming from the fan. I believe the fan clutch has siezed, so at 3500rpm, the fan is moving faster than it should which causes the noise. I can manually turn the fan, there is a bit of resistance. Does someone with some RB20 knowledge, know if: (1) should you should be able to spin the fan freely or not? ie, spin and take your hand off and the fan keeps moving for how long? (2) what should the fan do on a cold startup? (3) is the best repair option to get a new clutch from the wreckers, or a new one? (4) how quickly should it be repaired, and is it true that the fan can let go if it spins to fast, and go through your bonnet etc.? Thanks for any help guys
