Yeah i dont think that would work... the paint underneath the clear will still get roasting hot, dont think it would work mate.

That seller is selling all sorts of Chinese shit! Bikes, shavers, scales

Acid + Base -> Salt + Water (+CO2) HCl + NaHCO3 -> NaCl + CO2 + H2O
-
I'd like to know this too. I cant imagine it'd be cheap! Those things are made using moulds, i dont think it'd be easy to just take your old lens in, and get them to "knock up a new one" !

I had HA's, and yes they were Go-Kart harsh! One had the little knob thing broken off, so i couldnt adjust the damping ratio. They were also super low, ive got a feeling they were for a GTR (is that right?!?), because when i tried to wind down the spring to raise the car, the car didnt go any higher. It was super low = no travel = very very bumpy. I had the steering wheel to hold onto, but my passengers didnt enjoy it. Hills drives were dangerous, car would bounce around corners.... But maybe my HA's were setup wrong.

Baking soda is much better, because it will cause a chemical reaction and neutralise all remenants of acid. If you have exposed metal, spray some paint on it afterwards to prevent rust.

I dont think my lights on my 33 are that uneven. Try swapping the globes from left to right, see if that changes anything.
-
... that sounds like a good idea. When I did mine, i used a wire brush and detergent, and scrubbed for a long time. That worked ok. If i was to do them again, i'd try some brake cleaner, wire brush, and then finish up with some Prepsol/Wax&Grease remover. Read the paint can to see if a primer is needed. With the Duplicolour stuff, i used a Duplicolor metallic primer.

I'd like to know the answer to this too... I dont have a 4-door, and not planning on buying one in the near future, but if I did, i'd want coupe lights instead of family-4-door tail lights, if they fitted.
-
I used Duplicolour on my calipers, good stuff! From memory, it is a high temp paint, suitable for engine covers... Why would you want to coat it in clear afterwards? I dont think you could use a normal paint, and cover it with a high-temp clear on top. The high temps will be in direct conductive contact with the paint, and will surely cause problems - no matter what final coating is on top of the paint.

Can Someone Reccomend Me A Good Clutch?
Trav33 replied to R33GOD's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I'm getting a Exedy H/Duty 5-puk cushion button clutch installed in my 33. Clutch = $460 delivered Install = $310 inc machine flywheel Total = $770. $1100 sounds too much mate? -
8 way output! 1000W power! And the starting bid is only 1c ! [sarcasm!]

Spotted two R34's coming out of the city early this evening, a white one and a yellow one - both with Chicks behind the wheel! Also think i saw Flicks 32 for the first time, thru Melbourne street?

New avatar pic Pauly, didnt recognise ya! I got a window from ZImports for $120 - Wally is a top fella. He even go the door ready while i was on my way down there, and waited till i was there so he could show me how to remove and install the glass into the door. Other wreckers were quoting $180ish. O'Brians would have to import one, so i didnt get them to follow up on the price, but their installation would have been $160, just for labour. I will be getting an alarm with top security features, however even a $200 immobiliser+alarm+flashing LED is better than nothing. I spent most of today washing my car, it felt so dirty, being raped by someone else.

I saw your thread title and thought you'd written Kingwood instead of Kenwood,... never heard of them before! But google came up with this link which will give you some more feedback: http://www.nissanexa.com/forum/showthread.php?p=359440 One ebay seller gives out Kingwood speakers free with the sale of decks.

How much weight would your boat+trailer weigh? Is this a little dingy?

Good Power On Stockish Boost? Possible?
Trav33 replied to LatinR33's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I'm getting 200rwKw on stock 7psi boost, thats with a big high-flow turbo + powerfc though! Can't wait to get the clutch replaced and start winding up the boost! -
What's your reasons for thinking the Bosch and Walbro are shit? What are your recommendations for a better fuel pump? Nismo? Tomei?
-
So would a sub sound better in an open-air cabin, like in a station wagon - as opposed to a enclosed boot?
-
Using my brain, i thought high acoustic frequencies are directional, which is why tweeters are pointed at your ears. However low frequncies propegate through structures, hence why a sub can be in your boot and you have no problems "feeling" the vibration. I'd rather have good sound deadening on my rear seat (base and back) to block out road noise and keep the cabin as quiet as possible, which i wouldnt think would stop the bass coming through from a sub... Why do some custom installs have dynamat all around their boot? I dont think it is stopping the bass from coming out! But correct me if i'm wrong....!
-
I didnt think removing the deadener was a good idea... correct me if im wrong though... When you install speakers in the doors, its a good idea to spend money installing lots of sound deadening, including dynaxorb rubber sound absorbers behind the drivers. These give the sound more bass! And i thought it'd be the same with the boot - ive seen installs with dynamat installed on the inside of the boot lining, and the boot panels???

$3,000 Reward For Information Leading To Arrest
Trav33 replied to satanic's topic in New South Wales
Stan - did the police ever make any progress tracking down these crims, using the blood DNA? -
I've got a lot of respect for George, Adelaide Pro Sound - so i'd like to stick with him. The car can stay locked in the garage until he comes back to work. But thanks for the tips re other trusted installers.

Clutch has burnt out completely, and cannot transmit any power - it was slipping under power before, was already booked into Boost Worx. Thats probably why the car was dumped on Prospect Road, because the clutch failed completely. Apart from the broken window, not much damage. Little personal belongings gone, they took my old dash lights from the centre console worth about $1. They took my safety flare. Could have been heaps worse. Thanks for keeping ya eyes out guys, and for your messages of support. Everyone who doesnt have an immobiliser + alarm - please learn from my experience! Yes you did - what cross lotto numbers should i pick for this Sat night? George from APS is on holidays as of last night - his wife has a bun in the oven which was due to arrive last night! My car will be locked in the garage with some fuses pulled until George is back to fit my alarm! I heard a white nissan was in a chase, I didnt know for sure that it was a skyline. Mine was missing from Monday morning until Tuesday lunch time, not sure if thats in the time frame of the chase.
