  1. +1 Slide. My Sliding performance high flow was cheaper than getting Adelaide Turbo Services to highflow mine, and I got to sell my old one and reclaim $300.
  2. When ya coming and how many installs have you got booked? How do you get asked to come and work here, is it thru APS?
  3. What sort of clutch are you looking at getting installed?
  4. I've been quoted $260 in Adelaide. Plus an additional $50 to machine the flywheel. Not sure why it needs to be machined... if anyone can share please do! For a R33 by the way...
  5. Yes, true! So i was running rich, getting 340L/100km. Changed O2 sensor, got 460L/100km, so not running so rich anymore. But now i'm back to 340L, and would be running rich, and fouling the crap out of it.... It seems like the worse the economy gets, the more fuel going thru the exhaust, and the more fouling and the worse the O2 sensor works, and the worse the economy gets, more fuel, etc etc etc - its a vicious loop????
  6. I bought a universal O2 sensor from ebay seller enginesensorsandsystems. Worked awesomely for 6 weeks - got fantastic economy... but then it dropped off week by week, and I am back to where i started - maximum of 350km per tank. 1. Has anyone bought an O2 sensor from this ebay seller? Was only $50 i think. 2. Anyone used universal sensors successfully before?
  7. Luke (aka Fishpaste) is from Adelaide... are you coming to town Chris???
  8. Hi Gary, I got my Bilstein strut setup from you probably a year ago now. Performs well through the Adelaide hills, really need to get the bigger sway bars to tighten it up a bit though. My car makes a 'crack' noise when reversing on full lock, just a single crack. My tyre mechanic said it is the suspension, something to do with the spring rotating on the end cap, and then letting go. Do you know if this is true? Does something need to be lubricated in there? Thanks for your help,Trav.
  9. Whats the price on it? You have to buy an inverter powersupply to convert 12VDC->AC. I'm building my carputer from scratch, and there are not a lot of components needed. voompc enclosure with M2 powersupply (DC-DC powersupply) epia via motherboard, with integrated CPU, video card, etc stick of RAM HDD and need to get a tv/fm tuner device.
  10. I'd love a consult cable which interfaces to a powerfc... but i think i'll have to buy something like datalogit to do that.
  11. No, i knew that RB25 only needs the exhaust for power gains, and changing the inlet cam gear will not give any additional power. But i still wanted to change the inlet for appearance, for when i put a clear cover on. And reading posts, the cam gear SHOULD have fit on the inlet side.
  12. Probably posting in the wrong forum, but this may be of interest to other buyers. I've done a search, and haven't heard of anyone having problems installing the gear on the inlet cam, but this is what my mechanic wrote: On a rb25 they have a cam advance set up on them VCT, this pulley and cam are different sizes to all other rb inlet cams and they dont make a gear to fit. The std pulley which contains the variable cam advance has an adjustment on the back which we have adjusted, You effectively have 2 vernier gears on your engine now. Can anyone comment on this? My mechanic is well known for working on Skylines in Adelaide, so surprised that his views conflict that of skyline owners! But he is telling me he couldnt install the cam gear on the inlet cam, only the exhaust cam for the above reason. Thanks for any advice...
  13. I was the starter of this thread, although others have suggested it before. I didnt think there was enough interest, thought it would be hard to scratch enough numbers together. I've heard of drift practise days (one this weekend at AIR), so personally i'll attend some of these first before spending heaps of dough on professional coaching.
  14. From what i read, the trick is spending lots of time, using a big needle to pull the ties through the seat bottom.
  15. anDru, are you in Vic? Over here in SA, we have Whiltshire (sp) motor trimmers, if i didnt install them myself i'd go there. I'm sure there are similar motor timmers in your state, you could try the yellow pages and see if you can find someone close.
  16. Here are two links which may help, its amazing what you find when you search! http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...0&hl=parcel http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...67&hl=ecr33 The first link is very helpful with some good pics. I'd suggest finding a mate with a 32 so you can trace his parcel shelf, will make things easier - otherwise start one from scratch with some cardboard - when you have the cardboard fitting well, trace onto MDF.
  17. I took my gears (from previous) group buy to my mechanic today, who installed the Exhaust cam gear, but said the inlet cam gear can't be installed for some reason... any idea why?....
  18. I'd be going to a bearing place like CBC, and getting them from there - should be heaps cheaper than normal Autobarn/Repco prices.
  19. I found out on the dyno today that my clutch is about to die... How much for a Exedy Organic HD?
  20. Wow, i'm lucky if i see .04 or 0.06 - think my sensor has a bad connection or is farked.
  21. Yes, its a very good idea to avoid shorts + sparks while cutting and joining wires. If you use a 10mm (i think) spanner it'll only take 30 seconds to take it off.
  22. Mel - its obviously you've had a really bad experience with the car yard. I would be looking to get a refund, and go elsewhere. They had the opportunity to correct things, and make the car roadworthy - which is their legal obligation. Instead they have farked around with the car, and I wouldnt trust them anymore. Talk to the Office of Consumer Affairs again for support, write them a letter stating whats happened (document the facts), and let them know if you cant get a full refund you'll send the letter off to Consumer Affairs and the MTA. Thats my advice - get your money back and go elsewhere.
  23. Nice ride, how much did you pay for it, inc compliance, etc...
  24. Baconer - what does your sensor read while driving?
  25. Got my powerfc plugged in today, and i can go into the sensor check and see O2-1=0.00V Is this the right sensor reading for the oxygen sensor. If its a continual 0V at idle, does that mean my 4week old oxygen sensor is farked?!
