Yeah I agree. I set a date for the 29th of March which was 6 weeks from when i placed my order. I said i'd give or take a week from this date and if i hadn't received my goods i'd look to pull out. I'm now putting my foot down with anDru, if i cant have seat covers in my hand by the end of next week i'd like a refund. This is a joke... considering we have only been a few orders short and the covers are sitting there waiting. I thought digital tuners used MORE CPU than analogue tuners, because they are decoding the MPEG signal? If you point your car against a wall and try turning one - give it say 2 turns - if its the wrong one you'll see your light move left or right - so turn it back 2 turns and try the other knob! 50/50 chance you'll turn the right one first time!

How much is a genuine nissan timing belt? I heard they were more expensive than aftermarket (eg Gates), which is why i went with a Gates Blue Racing one

Thanks mate, finally someone who knows there stuff! I'd like to get a hybrid being Digital + Analog = best of both worlds. Lots of models on that Compro web page. Any advantage of PCI over USB. I think even a half height PCI card would struggle to fit, maybe a PCI extension could allow a PCI card to be mounted at 90 degrees, but still really tight. Do PCI normally do more on-board processing = less work for the CPU?

I think it might be a good idea to bleed the cooling system after a turbo-change too. Was reading another thread about a turbo which failed, possibly because air was in the cooling system and may have lead to engine damage.

I thought it might be 2 hours of work for a Mechanic, so $160 would be more reasonable. The place that quoted $280 has an awesome reputation, and i trust them to do the work - but one of the reasons they have a good reputation is because they dont overcharge, and are reasonable in their pricing... normally!

I'd like to have a go myself, and put the $280 towards a boost controller, but bit worried about the consequences of knocking the cams and stuffing the timing.

I'm about to get my 33 on the dyno for a tune, and have two adjustable cam gears ready to go on. Also got a new Gates timing belt on order. How much should I expect to pay, for a mechanic to install the timing belt + adjustable cam gears? Was quoted $280, this sounds high, but its not something I want to try myself because of the risk if i fark something up!

Maybe whatever he's wired up for the AC to run cold, has affected what the ECU sees and registers - hence why the ECU isnt detecting a fault...

I'd be listening to what your tuner said, so he is recommending a 7 heat range plug - i'd buy some BKR7E or BCPR7ES. I've ordered some BKR7E from Autobarn - Repco, Supercheap and Autobarn don't stock them usually.

Is this for peace of mind, so you know the turbos getting a good supply of oil?

Was it hard to prime Manwhore? The main oil line is the one that goes to the rear of the engine, so thats almost impossible to disconnect and squirt oil down?!?

I put my new turbo on about a year ago, but was talking to a mechanic the other day. He installs turbos on trucks, and made a point about priming the oil lines before the engine is started for the first time. This is so the turbo isnt without oil for the first few seconds. Does this apply to our Skylines too? Should we prime the main oil line when doing a turbo change? I've read a few tutorials on here, but never heard anything mentioned about priming.

After reading all 10 pages, i understand the importance of 0.8mm plugs over 1.1mm in a boosted situation. However i am still unclear on weather to go for a '6' heat range plug, or a '7' (slightly colder) plug. 1. My car is a daily driver 2. About to get about 220rwKw (seeing boostworx next month to install powerfc!) 3. Want to run 10-12 psi. Does this mean I should go for the slightly colder '7' range plug, specifically the BKR7E?

Thanks, nah im an Adelaide boy! Did you ever come across a tuner which had AM capabilities too? I have to stick to USB at the moment, because theres no room in my case to stand up a PCI card. A fair few USB models around, after i read that review I'll see if the same companies make a similar USB model. Which one did you buy??
