  1. What about the group buy thats on at the moment? $100 delivered i think... Or are they just for GTS-T's?...
  2. Can you just measure the resistance across two of the O2 sensor wires under the bonnet? easier to get access to them then to the back of my ECU!....
  3. Cool, it'd be good to put a face to the name, but got a busy day at work tomorrow. I'm getting closer to seeing George for an Autowatch install and a set of rainbows
  4. I need some nerd help! Not sure if i'll get any here,... I've nearly finished building my carputer, and need to buy a USB FM/TV Tuner. Seen a Pinnacle one, which is a hybrid (Digital+Analog), but it doesnt have FM tuning ability. Thats the way pinnacle are going these days. Can anyone recommend a suitable FM/TV USB device? Does anyone have experience of how well FM or TV works in a moving vehicle? I'm not expecting much out of the tv tuner, but would hope FM would be as clear as a head-unit tuner.
  5. Second hand, $35+postage. It's in awesome condition! Oh. Bugger. At least i know without damaging it. Thanks
  6. Got my series 1 sitting on the lounge next to me.... next weeks project! And suddenly thought maybe the series 2 would possibly be clear underneath, and i wouldnt need to spray paint this series 1! Will get a knife on it this weekend.
  7. Does anyone know if you can start with a Series 2 garnish (ie fully covered in paint), and sand back the letters to get clear plastic? Or are series 2 garnish's made from non-clear plastic?
  8. Does this test work on R33's? How do you enter "diagnostic" mode to see the LED flash???
  9. Peter, is it true that this consult/LCD and your previous consult box dont work with a powerfc? They only work on the stock nissan ECU? Any ideas on what you can use to get data from a powerfc -> carputer (via serial), which wont cost an arm + a leg?
  10. Ah, don't have one of these... Does the PowerFC show if the O2 sensor is working?
  11. Boo! Does anyone know?! Is there an LED on the rear of the ECU, or is there a way to make your indicators flash a code?....
  12. I like the idea of the 456 having the inbuilt turbo timer - saves me $100. I think if you want window-winders installed, remote boot release, etc might be pushing the price up to $650... maybe Trooper can confirm this
  13. I'm happy with my Blitz, love the noise and glad to hear they are one of the best flowing filters. But if those tests have been done legitimately, the Apexi is far superior - same price, highest performance gain, and best filtering. Doesnt seem right, high performance = high flow, but i thought better filtration would be a trade-off against flow rate. ie, cant have best performance and best filtration at the same time?!
  14. Can you share how much your alarm+install cost? I'd like to use my alarm to do as much as possible, eg boot release + window roll up, and would hope that the installer would give me the options of what can be done with that particular alarm.
  15. Is there a way to test if your oxygen sensor is working? I believe that if its not, the ECU runs a rich map, and ignores the o2 sensor completely. I put in a new oxygen sensor approx 2 months ago, and had awesome economy. But it only lasted a month, and since then the economy has been getting worse each week - back to 350kms per 60L tank. I've searched the forums, and found you can use a multimeter to read the sensor voltage - but is there also a "diagnostic mode" you can put the ECU into, to tell if it is using the sensor or running in rich mode?
  16. Yeah nengun sell HKS timing belts for $139 + postage... bit more than the greddy and gates ones... Nothing wrong with a standard belt thats worked without problems for 100,000 kms, but i heard the after market Gates racing ones were actually cheaper than a genuine Nissan one. Havent got a price from Nissan, so cant confirm that.
  17. Kudos are $195+$15 P/H, compared with Nengun - Nengun is the better option... Does anyone else have a preference between a Trust Greedy timing belt and a Gates Racing one? Gates look a wee bit cheaper
  18. I'll be making my own soon, as per the tutorials on SAU. Just ordered my series 1 garnish, $50!
  19. Yeah ive read 'gates' users compain about the noise... But others are saying the noise is because the belt is too tight, or it needs a while to wear in, and it shouldnt be noisy normally... How much did you pay for your trust greddy one? Nengun have them for $116 AUD.
  20. Wow, the Dual-Monitor looks nice, 2x250W of power. Also digital control via USB, not sure exactly what you can control... So can it accept a 4-channel digital signal, and decode all 4 channels. 2 amplified internally, and the other 2 channels are analog (RCA) output? Or is it only decoding 2 channels? The PDF wasn't too clear... Any idea on RRP?
  21. I'm still looking for an amplifier which has optical-in... The Alpine MRA-F355 does, 5.1 channel dolby decoding, 50W x 5 channels, for around $700 (RRP is $799) Are there any other amplifiers which have optical-in and digital decoding?
  22. Jetdat - how we lookin for the 29th of March, give-or-take a week? Can you confirm if my set has been made, and is in storage until buyer #20 transfers funds?
  23. Can anyone else share how much they paid for their alarm installation, or RRP for microwave sensors?
  24. Its time for me to change my timing belt, i've got an adjustable cam gear to put on so i figure i should change the belt at the same time. I've searched the forums and found Gates blue timing belts seem more popular over the stock Nissan belts. Just Jap sell these online for $99, same price as the Nissan belt. Is this the best deal i'm going to get? Is this also the best belt to buy? Thanks guys
  25. So is the sensor i had in my Calais probably a Microwave one then? I always thought it was ultrasonic... How much for a 2-stage Dynamco microwave sensor?
