  1. Thanks Randy, how much did you pay for your install? Thats the 456 alarm + boot solenoid + installation ? Chris - i had an ultrasonic sensor in my old Calais. It hid underneath the plastic console, just near the gear shifter - was told it worked through plastic, but not metal. It detected movement inside the car, and a second stage also detected movement close to the outside of the windows. Is this ultrasonics, or microwave?
  2. I'm looking to get the Autowatch 456RLi installed on my 33, i like this one because it has a built in turbo timer. -does it come with a 2-stage shock sensor? -does it come with ultrasonics, or how much extra would these cost? -can ultrasonics be installed such that they cannot be seen? Do Autowatch make a remote-start module for this alarm? I dont want to remote-start my car, just wondering if they make one compatible...
  3. My guards are rolled, and differ by a few mm from side to side, not sure if yours are?
  4. I'm getting a set in the current group buy... I did my research and wouldnt buy them if i was worried about the quality - Ultimate Auto are fairly well known for their seat covers for all makes and models, not just skylines.
  5. Looks heaps better than the overpriced EBay ones, which i wouldnt trust the quality of. Where did ya get them?
  6. What make is your car? I think you'd need to use a VGA cable from the carputer to the screen to ensure you get decent resolution for a PC. The factory sat nav system might just accept RCA+Video In, not VGA in?
  7. anDru, if i was you, and I lived in Melbourne, i would pop down to Ultimate and talk to the guys direct. You could sweet talk em into giving you the covers if they are just sitting there, or offer them a few extra bob. Defeats the purpose of the group buy if you have to pay extra, but then again its rediculus and against the rules that a group buy has no end date and goes on for months and months and months and months.
  8. You can buy touch-screen overlays, to enable a touch interface on a conventional LCD or CRT screen. I've seen the big 17" or 19" overlays, can't remember seeing little ones, but im sure they are available. What are you planning?...
  9. Looks like VMS runs Centrafuse interface software - is that fairly new, from what i've heard? Normally New = bugs and occasional problems! Going by the fluxmedia.net site, its due for Commercial release in March 07,
  10. So what is it Dan....?
  11. Jetdat, hopefully all is still on track for my covers to arrive at the end of March, if theres going to be any problems or delays, pls let me know in advance. Ta.
  12. Had a prompt when browsing SAU just now, that the site wants to install Microsoft Data Access - Remove Data Services", see screen shot. Any idea what this is? I wonder if its anything to do with Sophos detecting Virus Mal/JSShell-A at exactly the same time???....
  13. This happened tonight, 10.10pm, only happened once. Any idea what it means?
  14. Does this mean its possible to remove the seat-back, and the parcel shelf without having to take the seat-bottom out?! thats a small time saver i didnt know about...
  15. Boot, get some nice new battery terminals and screw your power cables directly to the battery
  16. What sort of DVD head unit do you have? If you have lights on on your amp, its not going to be a fuse, but possibly a setting on your deck? Do you have to re-program your radio stations, maybe they disconnected your battery?
  17. I've got an idea... not sure if it's been suggested, But on the JustCommodores forums, when you go into a topic, it displays "similar topics" at the bottom. ie I browse into a thread called "dump pipes", and read everyones posts, and down the bottom there are 5 more threads which might be "r33 dump pipe", "screemer dump pipe - are they legal" etc etc....
  18. I just contacted Gucci Brown at Ultimate, he said if i ordered a set of seat covers and he received my money, it would take between 2 and 4 weeks. I guess the extra 2 weeks in this case might be because its a group buy...
  19. Do Tilbrooks tune PowerFC's? I know Bill Towler doesnt
  20. I gave my loved one a nice sponge bath... (the 33) and then took my g/friend out for tea too.
  21. Nah they would make multiple sets at once anDru... if there was a list of 20 sets of seat covers, they would need 6 weeks to manufacture the 20 sets, and ship them to australia... Jetdat - seeing as i've paid, does this mean my covers will be ready in 6 weeks from now? Will you guarantee i'll have them on the 29th of March, give-or-take a week?
  22. Jetdat, Have you asked them if they'll accept the order based on 13 or 14? I know if i was running a business, i'd rather have a sale of 13 seat covers today, rather than 20 in 2 months time. I thought things were moving along the other week when you got the list of people who had paid, but i want to know now if this is going to drag on and on for more than 10 weeks????
  23. I believe negative is safest, so if you are using a spanner and it hits the body work, you are connecting earth-earth which is safe, no spark. If you are loosening your positive with a spanner, and the other end hits some metal, you'll short & spark! This is why when you change a battery, its negative off first, connect negative back last.
  24. I stand on one leg, with my arm high up in the air, gives me an extra 50m
  25. I would be careful dealing with SXC_R33 I've been waiting a month for him to send me a garnish i bought. Luckily i made sure it was COD, so i havent lost my money - just wasted my time.
