  1. What set of splits would you recommend, preferably around $600, but up to $1000 if there is a noticable difference in sound quality. Music listened to is mostly nice clear vocals, some pop, some dance, some accoustic, bit of everything. Would it be a set of Rainbows? If so, what ones?
  2. Can i pls have a username change to Trav33 ? Thanks
  3. jetdat - when is the closing date for this group buy. ie what date must i pay for my goods? I dont want to transfer money if nothing is going to happen for another few weeks. Can you confirm my order is on the list and accepted?
  4. hehe, lots of 'i want one',... but has anyone seen these before? I'd like to confirm that there was a limited product run by Nismo??? Found this other pic, that shows the owner also using a second touch screen on his carputer
  5. Chris - is it true there are only 3 dealers who sell Rainbow audio gear in Australia?
  6. Has anyone seen one of these before? Apparently Nismo made a limited number of them for R33's. This guy has tapped into it, and hooked it up to his carputer
  7. If thats a series 1 garnish, and you can't find a buying in Vic, PM me.
  8. If these chamois' are as good as they sound, thats a good price! Japans best Chamois?! I want to try it! I just paid more than that for a big Kenco thing
  9. Interested, price pending...
  10. Sounds like they are reasonably accurate! Might start lookin for one on ebay to have some fun with
  11. What do you mean the ones I already have???!! I have 10 year old stock crappy speakers that crackle and pop, and only one front speaker works!
  12. Has anyone installed Rainbow speakers in their skylines? Just saw George @ Adelaide Pro Sound, heard a lot of good things about them.
  13. 96, series 2. doh! Is there much difference between S1 & S2 anyway? Where are you guys located, and are you open on Sat? Might pop down for some other bits & pieces i need
  14. Does the dash include the dash surround - i need just the plastic surround, not the instrument cluster. What state are you in?
  15. What state are you in?
  16. I need a dash surround for an R33 - the bit that goes around cd-player/climate control, up over the dash cluster, and around to the right. Prefer to find one in SA so i can pick it up and check quality. Edit: I also need a rear garnish for the 33, i want a series 1, ie clear style!
  17. is that about the right price for the CATE? approx $700 including time to configure it?
  18. Rekin, with the professional job your doing on that parcel shelf, you shouldnt need to ask for any advice with mounting an amp!!! It sounds like a work of art!
  19. How well do the subs work in an open space? Looks like they are mounted forwards, facing the front of the car???
  20. Email address PM'd to you. Thanks
  21. There is a module compatible with the Autowatch 456RLi Alarm Cost = $600 installed GSM Module = +another $700 installed and configured. I think this allows for 2-way messages. eg Module sends message if alarm is triggered Module can receive message and wind windows down
  22. I think i've chosen my new alarm, being the Autowatch 456RLi. I'd love to read the installation/user/programming manual for this alarm, so i can find out exactly what it can and can't do, before I get it installed. Does anyone have a PDF version of this? Is the turbo-timer count-down time changeable?
  23. A 4 channel amp should have allowances to plug 2 sets of RCA leads into it. ie: Front Channels - Red + Black Rear Channels - Red + Black If you only have one set of RCA cables coming from the deck, you will need to get a 'RCA cable splitter', that will give you two reds and two blacks from the cable. Then you can plug a cable into each of the 4 channel inputs. Thats the input side of things. Then you will have something like this on the output side: Ch1 + SUB Ch1 - BRIDGE TO CH2 Ch2 + BRIDGE TO CH1 Ch2 - SUB Ch3 + LEFT SPEAKER Ch3 - LEFT SPEAKER Ch4 + RIGHT SPEAKER Ch4 - RIGHT SPEAKER
  24. Do you want to cut into your parcel shelf to save boot space, or to do something different and mount a sub there? I think you'll have problems with enough clearance below the parcel shelf. Don't forget, subs should be in enclosures too, are you planning on using your boot as the "enclosure"? I once had a mini and i cut a big hole in the middle of the back seat and mounted a 12" in there. Didnt sound that flash. I'm going to be mounting my sub and amp as below:
  25. How hard was it to remove your covers, prime+paint them? I've done callipers, i dont imagine this would be too much harder??? Looks awesome by the way,... thanks for showing us the work in progress!
