  1. Remember with kill switches, it should not be wired in somewhere easy to find (i mean the location of the wire-cut, as well as the switch), such as under the steering wheel. If you drop that panel and see two wires, its easy to bypass your kill switch. You want to spend some serious time pulling apart your car, and find a loom which is usually very hard to get to, and join your switch in there.
  2. Try searching for Ezy-Outs, its a tool used to remove snapped bolts. If you cant find anything on SAU try google.
  3. I've read a thread before, about removing the red reflector, have a search and you might find something about this.
  4. Fibreglass with Carbon Fibre only. Quite a reasonable price.
  5. I'm worried it'll look too tough! Thats why i want to see pics pics pics!!!
  6. I'm looking at buying the Blazer style carbon fibre bonnet from PSI parts. Mentioned in here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...ts-t229104.html If anyone has bought one of these, can you please upload a photo to show it off? The pic from PSI Parts isnt the best:
  7. Pretty casual cops, one of them had a Ferrari shirt on.
  8. I ran my first pair of Alpine splits off a Pioneer deck, until i could afford the amp. It didnt sound good at all off the deck, quiet and weak.
  9. If someone was to flick thru forums quickly : Divorce one week, proposal the next! Fast Mover!
  10. So is seam welding just lots of spots? Not a continual weld?
  11. F**ks me off when shit like this happens. At least you could wash it off (fingers crossed, no damaged) - i scored another shopping trolley dent the other day. Thats two now. That reminded me why I usually park miles away from the shop entrance.
  12. I used a dremel to cut mine apart. I probably used the wrong dremel bit, because it was melting the plastic a bit and giving off nasty fumes. I cut a rectangle out the back, and will soon be "glueing" the rectangle piece back in with black silastic stuff. Someone else's pic i had on my PC:
  13. I know of someone who has been to a couple of "Divorce" Parties. I think its a bit weird, but hey, any excuse for a piss up!
  14. When i get my new front bar, i'm going to install orange bulbs into my indicator holders, and re-wire them. I think front-bars look neater without indicators in them.
  15. Thanks for organising the group buy Steve, and for dropping it off today - much appreciated, feedback left.
  16. Have you seen the magnetic type, which are easily removable? We used to hire them when we'd go to the snow. Have to make sure you wipe down the roof and magnetic pad well so they are spotless before applying, to make sure you dont scratch your roof.
  17. Try this number Rob: Superior Suspension 4 Lincoln St Minto NSW 2566 (02) 9603 0100 I hear your fustration. Mine was a couple of weeks without any response from Gary or Matt. I think putting cash upfront and having to wait 2 months is unbelieveable! Gary is very knowledgeable, but there is no way i will ever buy from his group buys again. It seems Gary+Matt are too busy, i'd rather pay retail prices next time and not have the stress of chasing the boys all the time.
  18. Sounds like you've put a lot of hard work into it. Its unfortunate that you're only able to work with a very specific phone and GPS combination, and not a generic Nokia for example (I read your reasons why though). Is there anything else your device can do, which can't be done on the GPS GSM unit available on the SAU GroupBuys section and EBay for around $280? This may be an easier option for others, which wont cost much more by the time you get all your different components together. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Re...Ca-t200630.html Well done on what you've built though!
  19. you mean a stealth wing? search and you shall receive!
  20. Thanks for the tips Steve. When you masked the letters, you would have had to push the masking tape down over the sides of the raised letters to get that 3D effect. I presume you used a really sharp knife to make it easier to trim the excess? I guess you'd want to use good quality tape thats going to stay down too.
  21. Decision is Unanimous!
  22. HotPlates - your garnish looks great. I dont know how many secrets you want to give away... I presume you mask the letters, and paint the whole garnish in either an undercoat, or several coats of white to stop light coming through. How did you mask the letters? And when you did your final white coat over the whole thing, is it just a really light coat over the letters, so the light shines through? I've got my S1 garnish all wired up, just ready for the paint job when i get around to it! Thanks for any advice.
  23. I found it impossible to find a double-din touch screen when i was looking! I would have preferred one if i could have found it at the time! You'll be able to display external applications in RoadRunner - such as your data/dashboard displays. I havent played around with skins, there are HEAPS already out there to use.
  24. This is where i'd be looking too!
  25. I dont know if SydneyKid reads this forum,.... not much activity from him. Let me know if you need an email address/phone number to follow it up - 2 months is too long to wait.
