  1. Got brand new adjustables sent a couple weeks ago, just been waiting for the missing camber kit to arrive so i can get the lot installed. I'm doing front and rear camber kits, castor kit, subframe alignment, strut brace and front/rear adjustable sway bars. Put new coilovers in about a year ago, so the car should be good for handing + tyre wear now.
  2. There is no such thing as a ground wire (in the standard factory loom). The black wire which some people think is a grounding wire, is the illumination wire. I'm 99% sure you are using this wire as your ground which is the problem! Do what ya mate said and it'll be fixed.
  3. You can get wireless kits, for head-units which dont have RCA/Line-in. The kit plugs into your IPOD and broadcasts the sound as a FM signal. You just tune to the signal, like any radio station. My old pioneer deck didnt have a line-in, but i believe you could buy a kit for it which added that functionality. was expensive at the time though, would have been cheaper to get the FM transmitter.
  4. When you say your hicas is loose, is that with the car running, or engine off?
  5. I'm not sure if i've been sent the correct part, as it arrived without the original packaging, and the supplier hasn't gotten back to me... Is the picture below the complete Whiteline Front Camber Kit KCA348? Thanks, i'm still a novice when it comes to suspension bits!
  6. No problems putting the output from the sound card into multiple amps. My soundcard is actually 7.1, so theoretically you could feed the 8 channels into 2 x 4CH Amps, or 4 x 2CH amplifiers. My carputer power supply has a +12v acc out, which goes to the amp. So if the carputer is shut down, the amp powers down too.
  7. I've had lots of problems with my external USB sound card, i'd strongly suggest sticking with an internal PCI / PCI-express one. I cant fit a pci one in my PC enclosure though. It'd be awesome to have a sound card with optical out, directly into an Optical-input on an amp. When i was building my system, i coudnt find a suitable amp with optical in so had to go for RCA inputs.
  8. Can anyone please PM me a phone number for SydneyKid? I'm having trouble getting an email/PM response from Gary or Matt regarding missing parts...
  9. I bought a slot-load DVD R/W for a laptop, and a slimline USB external enclosure. This was so i could mount it into the same DIN slot as my foldout screen. It needed just the one USB cable which provides enough power. That was my solution so i could have a carputer in the boot, and cd-slot in the front, with the ability to also play DVD's. The trick is to find a slot-load drive, not a caddy drive - they are harder to find, but can be found on mp3car.com and ebay
  10. I'd try PM'ing Chris Rogers, he lives in the Car Audio & Security Thread, and knows everything there is to know about alarms and security, he may have some ideas...
  11. Lol... cheeky
  12. I had trouble finding them too. Went to bunnings, got f**ked off because there were no staff to assist. I found a mixed pack of washers, that had ONE the right size. Rather than buy 4 packs, i opened up them all, and pinched that copper washer, and put them in the same pack. So maybe you need to look for those mixed packs - and check someone hasnt pinched the 17mm copper washer!
  13. Yep saw you too Kye, bit hard to miss you're 32!
  14. Boostworx Dyno is only 2WD isnt it?
  15. Have a look at mp3car.com They have a store and a great forum. I'm pretty sure they also sell touch-screen overlays, so you can turn a VGA monitor into a touch screen.

  17. You dont have to wait for another group buy. The guy sells the stuff on ebay, if you dont want to wait, you can pay a bit more and get it quicker.
  18. If your worried about swirl marks, cut+polish it by hand and you wont get them.
  19. Thanks Howie, i'm happy to make a donation if i can then archive more messages! I dont just want a bigger inbox.
  20. So can this be done....? Is there a simple parameter that you Admin's can discuss + adjust?
  21. I used acrylic when i sprayed my first car - good paint to learn with. If you make mistakes, its very easy to fix, and dont need to worry about the 2-pak going off quickly. Acrylic will look great, a bit more time to finish the job though - with all the final wet sanding and polishing.
  22. For your first time, i wouldnt be using an orbital/rotary buffer. Skylines are smallish cars, it doesnt take too long to cut+polish, and wax it by hand.
  23. is that just another polishing compound? or does it do something to prevent discolouration from occuring again?
