  3. i got home at 10:30 and was gonna head in, but i was just too wrecked from studying all week so went home and crashed. the bust is on page 3 of the bulletin today tho. poor guys caught up in it I had a mate that got caught up in one in ernest a couple years ago, he was just passing through too, but cops decided he was part of the crew doin burnouts and what not (in his 4wd subaru station wagon *Cough*) These mass defect thinks completely suck :
  4. haha you tell him pred and its a very stylin car, i hope it goes to a good home.
  5. same thing happens on my old man's 98 vs commo....... i've always thought that it was just basing it on an estimation which seemed kind of odd.
  6. newbie question D: what do coil covers do? and what benefits do you have with using them?

  11. link to merlis? D: i can't find it
  12. umm, does this franky insure you or does he work for a company?
  13. um, neons under your car are illegal on the gold coast (so all of qld i'm assuming) you always sees idiots crusing through surfers with neons on tryna impress and then gettin pulled over by cops. never seen anyone get pulled over for lighting up a word tho. Those shonky lil GT Turbos have the GT glowing in green on the back, a few cars have em so I'm guessin they aren't illegal? Maybe ring up Queensland Transport, or your respective state's transport authority and ask them anonymously
  14. with me behind the wheel 190km/h in a 98 vs stock commo (mum's car ) Got the 88 vl, also stock to 160 but it didn't seem to like it much mate behind the wheel with 5 in the car, 96 (i think) subaru liberty sedan to 180km/h all this on the same stretch of uhh private road *cough* vs felt like it coulda gone alot further but the road has a hill that cops tend to sit on on the other side so you wanna be doin 120 before you hit the top of it. when I get my line i know the speedlimiter will be one of the first things to go

    Skidpan Day

I'm from the gold coast and intend on gettin a skyline within the next year (still at uni atm). Got directed here by iNark (mate of mine from melb) who's a bit of a regular. So far the forums have been really helpful and I'd love to come along and check out the qld crew goin nuts and meet some of you Be great if it was March 2, got nothing planned that weekend. So yeh, hopefully me + 1 or 2 mates will come up and have a look once its all confirmed.
  16. Gotta agree here. My Dad's told countless stories of the trouble he and his mates used to get into when they were young. He's kiwi and from a small town in the north island. When Basil, the local cop, knew they were all drinking down the local, he would go in and take everyone's car keys and tell them to come down the station in the morning to get them back. Granted this was a small time town in the 60s, but that actually shows an interest in reducing the road toll, rather than just profiteering from motorist. Oh how the times have changed. The other day I was commin home after a surf in my old man's VL, its his work car, nothing special. Got pulled over for an RBT, the cop walked round the car. I'm thinkin hes gonna defect it, all he did was make sure the plates were readable and my brake lights and indicators worked then sent me on my way. There are good cops out there, and there are absolute wankers as well. No matter who you get, you're usually better off showing respect for the cop rather than acting like some pissed off smart arse kid, the outcome will usually be better.
  17. cheers for that ozzy lotsa helpful stuff on that site
