ACL, CP etc etc do make 86mm pistons. CP are a custom order, can take 6 weeks to get them and ACL have them but they are usually 3-400 bucks more than 86.5's funnily enough. High octane can source both brands in 86mm for you.

GT-ss all the way for what you want. If your prepared to go further latter on then the 2530's would also be a good choice. Cams are always extremely good and nothing can be taken away for a good tune. If your happy with the car being at full tilt by 4 grand then the SS/2530's are the only two you should be considering.

Okay so we have a bit of interest. For central sake how about we make a meeting point around the bunnings at casula?? Large car park, plenty of room and food close by?? What days suit people best??

You posted this on the 10th of jan Had you not already decided on the T04z?? Its probably the best turbo for your goal if you are still considering a big single. This was posted yesterday This was the 11th of jan Hang up a second. You didnt wanna pay a machinist to do you a 26/30 but you bought a tomei stroker today when yesterday you had 3 engine options about what you were thinking about building??? Says in that first post you have built internals etc etc?? I dunno bout anyone else but im sure as shit confused about pretty much everything you've said??? Care to clarify exactly what you do and dont have, im not being derogative towards you but mate tell us what you do actually have truthfully and we can give you honest and experianced advise

leave the original lines, the feed and return WILL be fine. Id be fitting a surge tank, a 1 liter will be fine, its not like your planning any long high speed g forces. Decent set of 700cc or there abouts injectors Nismo fuel pressure reg to be safe External bosch pump and use the stocker as a lift Or just fit an intake bosch, with injectors and reg. There is no need to upgrade lines etc etc for what you want to do. If you cant afford the HKS version of the T04z then you cant afford to set up a fuel system with the best and biggest parts.

read the ADR's. they are illegal.

Anyone Run 20+psi Through Their Gt3076?
Risking replied to NYTSKY's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
interesting, what ECU are you using?? Not all of the Graphs I have here have this dip but now I look at them a few seem too. -
AUVIS is an authorised unregisteered vehicle inspection station. Sounds as if you need to have a full blueslip insection done. So basicly the vehicle needs to be presented in perfect road worthy state to be cleared. Give greg at autosport engineering a call he can help you out with getting it cleared with minimal fuss. 95211388

19 does sound low, be interested to know what your base timing is set at. Ive been toying with the idea of water injection for a while now. The dip in his curve is possible the end of VCT. Dunno bout you but 10psi has my GTR running scared -

Risking replied to NYTSKY's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
haha, nope my GTR is still gunmetal dave. Thats Jess' GTR you would have seen. The Haltech would be the go for what you want. The Z32 will work okay but big compressors lead to surge. Even the Autronic SM4 is a good thing. 12.5's is a bit on the lean side for something making so much grunt. for longevity id run it around the 11.9 mark to be safer. Mafia what sort of timing are you running through the top end with your set-up? Ah I seen the injection makes all the difference -
Rb26 Cam Base Circle, Valve Clearance Issue
Risking replied to Risking's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Thanks Proengines, Ill be speaking to chris about doing this. Any idea what thickness shim you went up to?? Im running apexi retainers which seem to have a much taller recess for the shim, obviously to aid with holding the thicker shim in position. -

Risking replied to NYTSKY's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Dave I usually use them at roughly 25-26psi. They tend to respond best to my tunning at these boost levels Im not in anyway saying thats the max or peak efficieny of the turbo but from my experiance with them thats what tends to give decent results. With the power your chasing id seriously suggest upgrading everything you have already done as well. Fuel pump/s, ECU, etc etc With what you chasing the little Z32 infront of these housings can become a problem so if possible id look into going with a map sensored ecu perhaps. on the whole internals I know of a few RB's running around with 300Kw's with stock unopened engines. They are driven hard but tunned very well by experianced people! -
location and contact number??

Turbos sold pending payment. -
Pair of Blitz pods with adaptors but no air flow meters. Very good condition, no rips or tears in the filters. $150 Greddy Emanage Blue, As new condition, removed from a crashed vehicle, Supplied with injector loom but no ignition loom. Comes with original box and manual etc $350 4 Toyo R888's Done a few laps around wakefield from memory, Selling as I cant fit 16's over my Brake upgrade anymore. They are 16 by 225's (standard R33 tire size I think) 90% tread depth left still have paint marks Pair of Nismo 14411-06U00 Turbos. These are rated at 600ps and are pretty responsive as well. They require new thrust bearings as there is a bit of thrust movement but they still make boost and are not noisey at all. Im removing due to a GTRS upgrade so no longer needed. prefer you to inspect and negotiate appropriate price before purchasing. Will post photos a bit latter on of the turbos Pair of High flowed OEM turbos, done by precission turbos in 06' with steel wheels etc. They had made 290kw and were nice to drive with. Again they have thrust movement but were not noisey and boosted fine, No other bearing movement but should have the thrusts replaced and the rest checked obviously. Again rather you inspect them before negotiating a price thats fair. All parts located in sydney and can organise postage for most items.

you need to determine what you want from this engine, its no use throwing all the big name parts unless your going to be stretching the things legs and making so big numbers. I know of several RB25's making close on 300Kw with original heads and basic bottom ends.

Rb26 Cam Base Circle, Valve Clearance Issue
Risking replied to Risking's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
No not that I have been able to find. Its only .1mm larger than those that CRD are selling and I have the equipement to grind my own shims from a suitable material so its looking like ill take that path as the tomei shim kits start getting expensive. -
Im fitting Apexi 270/11.4mm cams to my new RB26 head. I have releived the casting, cut valves, new guides etc etc. Now come time to set the valve clearances the apexi cams use significantly smaller base circle. The old Poncams had a base circle of 32.00mm which is obviously same as the OEM cam. The New Apexi cams have a base circle of 30.40mm. Majority of my existing shims are 2.80mm which is fine. However the base circle is 1.6mm smaller than the original meaning I have to increase all my shim sizes by approx 1.6mm. 1.6mm on top of the original 2.80 is 4.40mm. The largest shims Ive seen are those CRD are selling which are 4.30mm. So im asuming I have a few options, make my own shims to suit that are roughly 4.40mm (obviously made to exact size I calculate) OR........ im open to suggestions on the situation. Thanks In advance Brad.

being 10.25mm lift cams id asume the head was releived to accomodate the lift?? Did you dumby assemble the bottom end and check the piston to valve clearance with the new high lift cams??? Looks as if you have not had sufficient piston the valve clearance with the new cams and they have touched. Yes its possible only one valve touched, its just luck!
-
Ah I see. Coulda sworn you mentioned having one. Get it built and will live a happy life after that.

Didnt you have a built RB25 sitting at your dads Tafe waiting to be fitted to the R33 Anna?? Sorry to hear about it dieing, I know exactly how you feel!!
