  1. yeah we still thinking bout moving but wont be happening anytime real soon I dont think. where we are works fine! Im up for anything, location wise. Natio to the gong for a feed or somethin is always good.
  2. Oh you will have your car back by mid week no problems. Im easy on what we do. Ill be briging the GTR. Greg sold the white GTR to a customer and bought an RB s13, its for sale as is everything else!
  3. I think his going in a fort night, but might be this week cause we are closing on thursday. Who knows! He needs a bloody car that actually runs first. I got his S13/RB20 up and running the other day but I think he had someone looking at buying it today.
  4. Widening the track can have adverse effects on scrub radius and bump steer etc etc, depends what you trying to set the vehicle up for.
  5. It depends on the tune, Ive been running a set of 555's at 95% for ages and my AFR's are a little on the rich side. I have constant lambda logging so I know its always safe. One day ill get around to buying bigger injectors and re-tunning it but atm its happy doing what its doing. When it comes to injector buying time I like to treat each vehicle on its own merit. Id recommend you do the same.
  6. Abobob you did real well!! Flanges on the diff are bent drive shaft is totaled! We pulled the back end out of your car on friday there is CV grease from top to bottom on the drivers side of the car! I might come along to a shire meet, considering I work on plenty of your cars would be good to catch up. Brad
  7. Ill bring the GTR out for this one.
  8. bare minimum your going to need a commander and a decent wide band sensor and logging software. preferable some for of knock box detector as well
  9. You can use the gear set but need the main shaft from an rb25 box like URAS has said. If you can get a main shaft and an extension housing from an RB25 box then your laughing. I have never tried using the transfer modded as Ive had plenty of broken 25 boxes to use up first.
  10. Perhaps his refering to a V35?? If thats the case the transfers are different to anything we have seen here in the GTR's and his only choice will be to buy direct from japan. Clutch is the same as any Z33 item though so exedy etc all do aftermarket kits now for dual mass and non dual mass.
  11. 99.5% of the hand controller tunes i inherit from workshops have holes all the way through them... it is virtually impossible to have holes in a software edited pfc as the whole map is on the screen at each instant. I find the exact same thing! Usually a very breif look over the map and you can see where the previous tunner has missed and line it up with the owners drivability complaint!
  12. yea it looks like it's time to reducate him but i don't understand cause this guy is great he alway's tunes my car and know's bout them inside out. If you have never tried a different tunner how would you know his great?? Seriously if his under the impression cam gears are a waste on a 26 his not worth the coin your paying him!! Ive got plenty of grphs just like beer barons that can show the same gains, both 25's and 26's. And Id agree with some nice tunning work there is no reason why 1 bar cant be made by 4 grand.
  13. I agree that hte jap stuff is typically better. as baron said the lines tend to be the bet length and the mounts are usually decent quality. I have used and fitted the just jap kits and they are fairly decent, the lines are a little too long depending what vehicle but for the GTR they are resonable. Depends what sort of budget your looking at and if you will use a second hand kit. If dealing with a second hand kit be sure to have the core properly flushed and clean the lines through before fitting it.
  14. I think everyone had some under during the course of the day. The GTR was horrid for it even boz commented on the terrible understeer the GTR suffered on street tires!
  15. Jeff and mario you two should be ashamed. You got beaten by a girl (or we think she's a girl) Very well done though corrine!
  16. get hold of a D22 navara master cylinder, same diameter but slightly different pipe locations. no propotioning valve there
  17. Was a great day! Dunno bout you guys but I have shreded the edges of all four tires! Time to sell the XR6 ute and buy an EVO for a 2nd car I think!! GTR just cant cut the mustard on the tighter stuff.
  18. Dont be looking at me!! Actaully little bro is working saturday so maccas run it is!!!
  19. Nope DIF is driving she just doesnt know it yet. Ill share the GTR with you for the day!
  20. Im sceptical just as URAS is untill I can see correction figures. Get them to run it up after the tune in shootout mode and make sure there are figures at the bottom like this one has. Fairly easy to define a legit graph to a dodgy one then.
  21. Just pull a plug at oil change intervals and check the electrodes. If they are worn then replace the plugs.
  22. Just advance the CAS slighly take it for a drive and my money is on the problem being fixed. Obviously if you have some form of management it can be tunned around but the CAS is a quick check that will work.
  23. Coppers will last much longer than 5000Km's I generally use them for 10-15K. And platniums have an expected life of 100,000K's in a "normal" engine.
  24. I think his actually trying to describe the compressor surge problem. I had this really bad on my GTR when I first bought it. with the original 2530's fitted it would "chuff" when cruising or light throttle up hill etc. I bumped the base timing up by 2 degress and it fixed the problem.
  25. Ive probably got a few sets of 17 inch rims with Potenza's fitted that can be fried if you wanna use them. Ill probably just use an old set of RT215's on the GTR.
