  1. I've fitted 4 Ross trigger kits. They all worked perfectly. One of them was with a Haltech PS2000 pro plug in ecu. Haltech had to change the ecu software to read the new 24-1 trigger as the pro plug in was locked to the Nissan optical sensor. One was with a motec M600 and works spot on. One an m800 again working Great. The last is a wired in PS2000 on an Sr20 that's nearing completion. I do agree Ross' pricing can be a tad high considering what you are actually getting but it is nicely finishe gear and does work. Just check carefully the sensor position. The first ones I did the sensor wasn't in the middle of the chopper wheel. I know Ross has fixed that issue now but I still check them.
  2. Sack your engine builder and find a new one that has half a brain......
  3. Some quick basic drawings of a new RB26 cam cover baffle that im now fabricating. Its fairly siilar to the mines baffles but ive changed the channel and added some other dividers to help.
  4. Ac condenser fans have nothing to do with engine temperature. They are there to draw air over the condenser to dispiate heat from the core so the air con can maintain temperature A good cooling system that's operating properly won't need a fan when the vehicle is moving at all. Even stationary it should be able to maintain temperature for some time frame. We don't run fans on any of the cars we build that are purely circuit driven. They are warmed up, parked on the grid then moving. A supercar will maintain 68deg for its sighting lap, 78deg sitting on the grid maybe rise to 80deg when the lights are on then drop to 68-70 for the entire race. Off the shelf PWR core, ducting done right and no fan. I've just done a 180sx with the same type of duct, PWR core and no fan. Above post is correct about the fan reducing surface area flow through but the ducting is by far the most important part.
  5. Sold pending pick up and payment tomorrow
  6. Have had these sitting around for ages. Planned to use them in a street GTR that I had but ended up selling the car and they stayed on the shelf. Previously installed for about 100km's in my old race car before I converted to dry sump and removed all baffling. RHD and nengun have them for $300+ I'm asking $250inc postage aus wide.
  7. I also doubt that car in the photo ended up with a strut front end. I'd say he was using that shaft to locate the upright while he fabricated the lower arms. The geometry of the lower arms on the car doesn't look like it was designed for a mac strut setup.
  8. Strut front end conversion won't help with what they are wanting to acheive. Everyone wants to run a wider front tire 11inch + but physically can't because the upright fouls on the rim/tire and the guards just won't stretch that far nor would you want to increase the track by that much I tried modified uprights but they just weren't strong enough and gave all sorts of weird leverage ratios that messed up the the spring rates etc. The problem is they need to travel so far inboard to clear big rims it creates a ( type shape that can't be gusseted against compression well enough. Now converting cars to a proper wishbone front suspension and able to run any rim you want as the arms fit inside the wheel. Using available supercar parts from the likes of racer industries and 888 means replacement parts should they break are always available. A custom upright is always going to be a hassle to replicate as well.
  9. Selling this off as I have no use for a single car truck anymore. It's been a great truck but just no use for it now. Good parts Straight body Runs perfectly 3.5L deisel 10speed manual Ordinary car license (4950kg GVM) Flat tray large enough for a skyline to fit easily 3.5T loading ramps Bever tail section at rear of tray 6 brand new tires Bad parts Some small rust in corner of window. Clean it up and rust kill won't be a problem Tray could do with a coat of paint Cab could do with a paint if your really fussy Mud guards are bent slightly upwards Tail light wiring to back is a bit messy. Has 11 months nsw rego. Asking $7000. Located in Sydney. Can email photos [email protected]
  10. I'm not in SA. I'm in Sydney nsw
  11. I'd just drop it at pack n send with your address I've had problems with aus post and refusing to use them at the moment Probably 30 bucks would cover it. Emails and pm's replied. Not holding this first one to direct deposit funds and email me a receipt gets it
  12. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/216331-sump-extension/ Exactly the same as that one Yes baffles and doors etc are all there just no pick up. It's just a bit tube welded into the pickup anyway
  13. No point trying to educate a "JDM" fan boy. These are made by the Japanese and they have a graph to prove they work
  14. A lot of the tires are stil usable. I don't like your chances of fitting them under skyline guards though. The profile is twice what you'd normally want to run.
  15. It would be one of their 9L extensions, I personally never filled it up only welded it on then cut it back off. High octane claim they are 9L
  16. I'm not sure if that was a smart arse remark or not..... I'd assume they are some type of before and after chassis graph that's been put together buy a Japanese marketing guru at TRD. Things don't even need to work for companies like TRD and nismo to market them. Nismo upper arms for the R32....... The brackets are good but the arms are the same S chassis castor rod mounts Same as factory painted silver...... Nismo engine mounts..... Ever cut both types in half and seen the insides? Same same just new. A late model chassis like the 86 would not suffer from extreme chassis flex that would be felt at the steering wheel. The marketing for these claims more responsive steering. Everyone I know who has punted one of the 86's hard has commented how good the steering is. Chassis flex mustn't be that bad. If it was then there would be massive amounts of warranty claims from door skins rubbing on door jams taking paint off like the original 350z convertible had problems with
  17. I have a good condition high octane cast sump extension for sale that was used for 3 weeks before a broken oil pump. It was cut off last week for a dry sump conversion and is no longer being used. Pick up was damaged by owner sitting the engine on the floor and squashing it. Ill extend your pick up to suit if needed. Requires a clean and to be welded back onto a sump. $700 firm or $1000 welded to your exchange sump. Pick up from Campbeltown.
  18. They are a controlled 11inch wide rim with a roughly + 30 offset that can be machined by the teams to whatever they want. So offsets could be anything. These are all a centre lock type rim that uses 5 drive pegs and centre lock nut.
  19. Okay have an obundance of V8 supercar 17inch magnesium wheels I want to get out of the workshop. We have upgraded most cars to the current (2012) team dynamics alloys so these are redundant to me now. Some are black some white. They are the 5 spoke speed line design wheels run on VT-VY before they went to OZ racing wheels. Condition varies from perfect near new to straight but chipped powder coat all the way to smashed and damaged. A lot of these have only been used in DVS others are ex HRT, if someone wants one signed buy a 888, GRM or teckno driver I can arrange something for them at the upcoming test day. Perfect wheels $250 Damaged wheels $150 Smashed wheels $50 Have piles of tires that can be mounted to the rim for free if desired Pick up only from Campbeltown.
  20. Pics of what exactly? The boot is silver with some scratches Tails lights are tail lights The nismo bar needs some fibreglass repairs on the bottom edge. Your welcome to come and have a look at them. For the price you wouldn't say no to buying it
  21. I used to use this stuff by the bucket load but I've now employed a full time Motorsport sparky who supplies his own consumables so this has been sitting on the shelf for months and rarely gets used. I'm fairly sure there is the following sizes but ill confirm when I go back to work. 6mm 8mm 10mm 12mm 19mm Ill have to open the boxes and check quantity but I'd say there might be a couple of meters of each used since I bought it. This is also the split type braid so it can be laid over existing looms and added to latter. Tech flex nylon braid is very nice to work with. I paid over $850 for the boxes and is want to get $350 for it all. Can email photos and measure quantity next week.
  22. Totally agree. The difference if any would be so negligible behind the steering wheel you wouldn't notice. Seems they have moved on from magic earthing kits to magic door strikers....
  23. What's the theory here?? By elliminating the striker gap the chassis is stiffer and the steering becomes more responsive........ Maybe if your driving an old Corolla but seriously a late model monocoque chassis.....
