Novus32 could you please send me a reply to the messages and voice mails I've left for you. As I've said and sent you photos of. There is a 2nd hand intercooler core with an abortion of an end tank here that belongs to you. There isn't and has never been any piping, silicon joiners, clamps nor brackets for your "kit" Despite what BSA has told you none of that has ever been fabricated once let alone the alleged 2nd time around. He never even had any materials to do the job! I've offered to post you the intercooler core at your expense (due to the dealings not being with my business) I've also declined your request of me to fabricate you a whole kit for $200..... A reply would be appreciated so I can end this problem and scrap metal the core or organize to freight it to you as is. Brad

Photos will be available in the next couple of days of a complete dry sump setup that I'll be installing and selling. This will include everything required for a reliable 4 stage setup right down to the bracket for tank mounting etc.

No the Peterson R4 in that photo uses an internal manifold. There is port locations on top of each stage. You can utilize any of those ports as a scavenge outlet.

Recently I've been inundated with people thinking work they have been paying BSA/ Blake / whatever else for has been completed my myself or pro fabrication. I want to make this very very clear. Not one job blake has been paid for involves me or my business in any way. Cooler kits, catch cans, exhaust systems etc etc. If you haven't dealt with me directly then pro fabrication has has nothing to do with your job. Blake came To my workshop to repair a damage trailer in which he was paid upfront for. While waiting for materials to arrive I allowed Blake to complete some jobs he had individually been paid for. Obviously none of these jobs had been completed. It appears he kept taking work and never completing the jobs. One job is a return flow cooler kit that is sitting at my workshop unfinished and in a state that I wouldn't even consider fitting to a car. Another is a whole r33 which has had a half arse attempt at an engine conversion done. And a cylinder head sold off without the owners permission. Another is a catch can that's never even been fabricated as he can't afford to buy the alloy from me to do the job! It needs to be made clear that people who have had dealings with Blake/BSA have not had dealings with me and I've never received any money for the jobs which I'm being chased for that have apparently been paid to Blake! If you have email correspondence with me at pro fabrication then you can rest assured we are a legitimate business and what you have ordered is what you will receive. You should also have a legitimate invoice with my own bank details for payment. If you have had dealings with BSA and were under the impression the work would be completed by my business I'm afraid you have been lied to and should contact the local police.

Hang on a minute let's get this straight...... You've had a bad dealing with BSA. I sent you details about your kit so you could atleast have some closure to the experience. At NO time have I ever had anything to do with this job, kit or anything else related to you. BSA does not even own a tig welder! So I allowed him to utilize my workshop and fabricate your kit there. Something which he never completed AGAIN NOTHING TO DO WITH MY BUSINESS..... You offered me $200 to fabricate you a return flow cooler kit due to the fact you had paid BSA already. I replied saying I couldn't do that and that I did do cooler kits. I sent you photos of the cooler kit which has been abandoned at my workshop so you could make the decision if you wanted to spend any money having it posted to you or not..... Now there is several people who have been burnt here and I'm not paying the price for trying to help them out. One person has been bent over regarding a large engine conversion. I'm in the process of quoting him to rectify the mess his been left with. For the final time. I AM NOT BSA CUSTOMS AND ARE IN NO WAY ASSOSIATED WITH THE MESS HIS CAUSED. And I (pro fabrication) will not be completing work left in lure by BSA that I've had no involvement with! My work is completed and sent out when it's due or paid for. I've had problems with subcontracted work recently (head reconditioning etc) which has been sorted.

What amperage are you using and what is the material. Generally if I'm using 3mm sheet and welding with argon I'll use 60-70amp for a butt join.
-
Connect up the foot pedal if your bench welding. You actually want to slow down looking at some of those welds. Slow down and allow the weld to pool properly before adding rod Use the foot pedal and try to run a consistent pool along 3mm without filler rod. Once you can control the pool then start adding rod

Loooong story but I've been left with a rather large job that's unfinished and needs to be completed. Is anyone in Sydney looking for a couple of days work doing general labour? The job is paying ofcourse and involves working with someone else to sheet up the sides and floor of a large car trailer. We are estimating 2-3days work would have it done. If Anyones unemployed, has a lazy son that needs some work or whatever feel free to give me a call, needs to get underway this week though. 0404 832 620

The workshop he was "based" at in campbeltown I'd have a guess and assume that's mine!!!! His no where near my shop anylonger, I'm currently trying to help out an sau member who's car is left here and it's looking like his been had as well.
-
Oh I'll leave the f**ker negative feedback. If he reads this and doesn't get his arse to my workshop and sort out the bullshit his caused there will be hell to pay. 550 & 950 is the tip of the iceberg........ Ill mimic jez and say he doesn't work for me, his tried to complete work for me to pay for debts owed to me for various reasons. (still outstanding) Shame each time I've tried to assist him it's ended in disappointment and more frustration.

The guys that wanted quotes send me an email [email protected] I'm not providing quotes via Sau any longer Anyone that has received a quote from "pro fabrication" on Sau recently for any fabrication work also send me an email as there is a chance you werent dealing with me.

I'm selling this due to it being unsuitable for transporting two V8's, having to upgrade to a dual car truck. The truck is a 1986 ford cago which has a 6 speed syncro box and a 6.2L turbo diesel engine. The previous owner rebuilt the engine 8 months before I bought it and I've had it for 12 months. I replaced the cylinder head and gasket kit about 100km's ago due to a cracked hose causing an overheat and a warped head. Injectors have been replaced and the pump serviced by jc deisel tune. It's had an aftermarket intercooler and piping fitted (these are not normally intercooled) Engine runs great and plods along at 100km on the high way no problem. Transmission shifts fine and is in good condition. The pantech fits a GTR with ease. It has an alloy bench in the front of the pan that's 700mm deep and has a storage shelf built in. There is an internal 12v power supply with 12v lighting inside the pan. Has a 3 ton winch mounted inside the pan and is remote control. The loader is a tieman 2500kg loader that has been modified and lengthened. It lifts a full weight Supercar (1650kg) and has lifted many GTR's over the last 12 months as well. The truck has been replaced by a small tilt tray and a larger two car transporter so it must go. Currently about to run out of rego so I'll sell it with a rego worthy certificate. Requires an MR license to drive (9tonne GVM) Must go so asking $8000 Ono.

I've also got a heap of alloy "half moon" rocker cover plugs machine up now. The rubber ones can and do get sucked in by a decent sized pump on a sealed engine.
-
General rule is to run the pump at half crank speed obviously. I think you mean 17L/1000 revolutions? Typically most manufacturers pumps run between 10-20L. Depending on the stage size, gear design etc. Something to remember though if your sump isn't able to provide adequate scavenging and your running the pump hard you will still end up with oil surge. All the oil will be in the sump not in the tank.... I see so many poorly designed and built sumps that allow oil to travel past open scavenging ports or rely on oil pooling around the scavenge ports instead or being feed toward it. If you have too much oil volume you will flood the scavengers and have lower vacuum.. I run my vacuum control out of the original dip stick location. I tap an NPT thread into it and use a -6 fitting. I have done my own bleed control system that draws air from one of the turbo charger intake pipes. I've done some testing with vacuum gauges in the rocker covers and in the dip stick hole. With the regulator in the rocker cover crank case vacuum was 3-5mm/hg higher than when it was venting the crankcase directly. Is you set it up for say 15 in the covers that potentially puts you around 18 in the sump which is bordering dangerous for litte ends in an rb26. I know pressure should be equal in all directions if the engine is sealed (pascals principal) but the engine is not 100% sealed and the vent location is critical when oil is also traveling along the same route as the vented in air.
-
If you plan to track it then get a decent extension that's going to hold around the 9L mark. It's been proven time and time again to work with nitto/jun/etc pumps. Have a look in the fabrication section, I offer a fabricated 9L sump ready to go with gated baffles for a fair wack cheaper than buying one then having it welded on.

19k plus gst. Holinger have a fixed price. Doesn't matter how many you buy, in the trade or not that's the price You will also require a clutch (original thrust bearing and fork can be used) fabricated gear box mount for it (holinger uses an ear type locator) Ignition cut gear knob. Don't buy the hinger click type selector. Buy a strain gauge locally made shifter they are widely used in supercars and work far better. Nissan tail shaft will work but we usually make a solid shaft. Budget a transfer case rebuild while it's off. Bellhousing bolts are also different and hollinger don't supply the correct length. Bolts that hold the transfer case to the gearbox case are also shorter. There is alot of small things that are different
-
Anyone can buy direct from hollinger Phone then up, order the ratios you want, pay a deposit and wait in the 8week line. They turned one out for me in 5 weeks not long ago. Better off buying a new one as there is a revised position indicator which is far more reliable than the old ones, you know the condition it's in and they offer a really good service rate if you deal with them direct. Lee is very helpful just call up and explain what you want.
-
They do typically take 2-3hours to do neatly. I normally charge $300 to fit up and weld on the trust extensions. That includes bead blasting the pan and flushing out the diff casing ready for re assembly.
-
Should have the car back here next week. Once I know it's good to go we will organize something.
-
Wanna do the whole event in a V8 taxi pete? We've been considering entering as a trial for the latter enduros.

Anyone else been watching the couple of YouTube videos of Garth and johnothans radical laps of the new Motorsport park layout?

It flattened the top bend of the front leg. The rear straight leg normally provides additional support to prevent that happening. Mike I've done heaps of extensive half cages. Full X diagonals, leg supports, subframe pin reinforcements etc.

Next time your around I'll show you the FEA simulation we did a comparison of. Same cage same leg locations. The roll simulated was a basic 100km/h right hand roll. Vehicle was 1200kg impact angles etc were consistent both times. The cage was a typical two bend front leg, single side intrusion no roof diagonal, basic andra spec cage. Single downwards bent rear legs allowed the hoop to move 30% further back than the straight legs, that's a realtivly low speed roll over as well. Obviously the Sim does not take into account the original chassis construction or the strength of the mounting locations. It assumes them to be ridgid, which does leave some variable. Steve power from andra was telling me the other day they have students at some university doing a study about safety cage design and extensive FEA simulations. Should be interesting to see the results if they become available.
