  1. Always ensure you have a filter post pump if your using any internally submerged type pump like the walbro/044 etc etc. E85 is a corrosive fuel and the armature, brushes & commentator inside the 044 is very likely to corrode and flake away when the car sits around with fuel in it. sealed pump gear pumps like the top shelf weldons etc are immune to the problem. Using tool steel gears and sealed motors to keep them dry from fuel. 044's will do fine obviously loads of people use them but do keep in mid what can corode. Same an be said for alloy surge tanks. Make sure it's a 5356 grade alloy or higher. Anything lower will produce scale inside the tank over time and obviously harm your pumps.
  2. I'll send you the workshop address now.
  3. Have you got it marked out ready to go Martin?? If so get it over to me this week and I'll have it done the same day it arrives.
  4. I have FIA homologation papers for a fair few full cages now (I usually go halves in the homologation cost with the owner for the first cage design and I keep/own the papers afterwards) However it's never been worth even trying to obtain FIA homologation for a half cage, I've almost ceased doing half cages myself as the demand for comprehensive full cages has been so high as of late.
  5. $880 for the cage in 4130 and an additional $3800 for the FEA simulation and FIA homologation which you won't obtain being a half cage. The only way to do a 4130 cage which doesn't require FEA and FIA homologation is to have a cams recognized builder (of which I am) submit an additional dossier outling the reason for 4130, detailed CAD drawings and bar locations. ( dossier is not accessible by just anyone from cams) CAMS will only issue a certification number if the tube specified still meets shedule J requirements. 4130 is the same weight as CDS. The only reason 4130 cages are considered lighter is due to the reduced wall thickness required to obtain the same strength. A "CAMS" approved 4130 cage will be same weight as a CDS cage only 3 times stronger. An FIA homologated cams recognized 4130 cage will be 12-20% lighter than a CDS cage and usually the same strength in most tests. CAMS charge me an additional $160 for the dossier each time I submit one for a material variance (4130 as opposed to shedule j materials)
  6. That'll set you back $660 for a welded in version. It's a basic cage.
  7. Tell him not to clean with an angle grinder or wire brush. It impregnated the alloy with all sorts of crap. If it needs any type of grinding then use a dedicated alloy sanding disk (not a flap wheel they are as bad as grinding discs) Also recommend he try's cleaning with Albright for any type of "used" alloy then a wipe down with general purpose thinners. The welds incosistant but it looks like he was struggling to control the heat in some places.
  8. These are near new hydrolic kingchrome go jacks which also have a storage stand. They've been sitting around the workshop for 18months andmight have been used twice since new so they are really not needed. Pick up in Campbeltown NSW only Asking $550.00
  9. They are fabricated to suit any size battery you nominate The majority of my customers are now using lithium batteries which are incredibly small and as you say battery boxes haven't changed for the last 100years they are still huge eye sores in the boot or back seat
  10. Will have photos up of it over the next couple of days. Will be offering as a while setup with quality battery included or the box alone
  11. Anyone looking at those hoists I have two of the tecalamite Tec3000 hoists in my workshop. They are really good hoists but they use a brass nut to raise and lower the arms. Being a screw type hoist. One of the hoists I hve needed new brass nuts that cost me $880 for a pair direct from tecalamite plus $770 to have the hoist stripped down for the nut replacement. Brilliant hoist that sees daily use but make sure you check the nuts are servicable before buying one
  12. Im releasing a new product next week as well. The first ones have now been fabricated and fitted with excellent feedback. Offereing a new sealed & vented light weight alloy battery box. They have a hinged, securable lid with a substanciable base plate to bolt down to the vehicle. Cable glads to seal around the battery cable and prevent chaffing. Built in battery retaining clamps. Perfect for guys looking for something thats more appealing than the old school plastic battery box that still vents into the cabin and looks rather ugly in the boot next to their fuel system or dry sump setup.
  13. New alloy door trims for FATZ R32 GTR. Ive folded up some neat mounts for the original window switches and folded the sheet to accomodate the shape of the door as opposed to just screwing it on and letting the sheet warp to the shape which can look terrible. A fabricated power steering resiviour. These have become fairly popular lately. Surge tank that was welded up this week Next cage job in the line up. The WTAC winning EVO of Nik Kallis. In for a new 4130 molly cage and some lighter weight components Cages next week for dash sport and insight motorsport as well.
  14. Has a fancy new door trim and a freshly painted interior now.....
  15. That too. I've got a shop full of GTR's none are broken just wanting to go faster....
  16. It's a real race car now
  17. For 24k you too could have one installed.
  18. I do have all those parts Price is $4500 and it comes with the entire car
  19. R34 GTT body shell. Straight clean shell no major damage, no rust, some minor dents and scratches. Unregisterable, race only. Stripped interior and engine bay. Has 90% of the interior in boxes in perfect condition. No seats, roof lining or carpet, may be missing some smaller parts. Has front and rear subframes, all suspension arms and components are standard, think it has a HICAS lock bar fitted. DET LSD diff fitted and drive shafts. All steering components are still fitted. Has 3x advan rims the other is long gone. 17x9’s I believe. R34 headlights, tail lights, nismo rear bumper ( genuine ) Carbon front guards, carbon bonnet (both are brand new never fitted) All panels are there minus a front bumper bar and front windscreen. Engine that comes with the car is a ford BARRA 4.0L and a 5 speed T56z (XR6 turbo box). Engine has most of its bolt on parts but some bolts and minor parts are missing. This will fit into the R34 with a modified sump and engine mounts, I have done it previously. The timing cover and oil pump are removed Engine is an FG deidicated LPG and confirming with atomic these engine use the same bottom end as the turbo F6 but they have a higher comp ratio ( perfect for E85) and stainless valves in the head. Engine comes with *atomic upgraded timing chain, tensioner *atomic harmonic balancer *CPC custom alloy bellmouthed inlet plenum ready to be fitted to the R34 engine bay. With twin entry fuel rail Requires a turbo kit, clutch and a few minor parts like an atomic oil pump etc to get it completed. The entire package is for sale due to a lack of time to assemble it and interests heading in other directions. Was being built as a circuit car to race at I race, MRA etc etc. There is loads of parts that will be going with this car I just haven’t listed them all. Asking $4500 for the entire lot. Located in NSW Sydney any inspection is welcome. If you break down the value Engine package $1500 Extra engine parts $1400 Plenum $1500 R34 headlights and parts $1500 Carbon parts $2500 Interior parts $800 $9200 worth of parts alone before adding the bare shell, advan rims blah blah Photos will follow on monday This must go so I may even negotiate......
  20. Something alot of people would never get to see. The inside of an 6speed sequential GTR hollinger bellhousing
  21. The ford brembo calipers will require a 1inch master cylinder and some drastic changes to proportioning if your retaining the original rear calipers. A cheap option they may apear to be but once you factor in the $6-800 for adaptors, $2-300 for a master cylinder,$1-200 for new front lines, $8-1000 for apropriate rotors (factory ford rotors won't work due to the ofset) $2-300 to correct the bias issue. It actually works out more economical to buy a kit designed for the nissan
  22. Your old car is sitting in a shed. Its got an neo rb25 the lost interest so it's sat around. We've got a few odd things around the workshop at the moment
  23. 7.8L v8 going into one of my ex v8 supercars with a holinger almost gets me motivated. Then again Na it doesn't.......
  24. Your email should have been replied to tonight Leigh. I try to do email and pm replies after-hours but occasionally takes a day or so to get through them all
  25. Recent work has involved fitting a couple of 6 speed holingers and custom mounts for GTR's This would be the 5th or 6th holinger that ive fitted recently. They dont get any lighter or any easier to make crossmembers for though.
