  1. Hmmm so they did finally decide to get the brakes from me neil!!! You'll be needing the 'ol bias controller with the proposed set-up anyways.
  2. suckers..... Im racing at wakefield on the weekend. And Jay is loading/unloading my car on the trailer since there will be no tire changing
  3. yes they are both T2 frame turbos but the rear of the GTR turbo is vastly different as is the casting of the front housing.
  4. Theres nothing wrong with the ceramic wheels if its just a road car. Buy a second hand set for sub 600 bucks and be done with it. There is a pair of R34 turbos in the for sale section for stuff all. SR20's have a different exhaust housing and the compressor housings are also different. I dont know if the comp housing is interchangable with the GTR but the exhaust is not due to the wheel diameters.
  5. It bites hard when you stuff it up. I went round and round there a few weeks ago in the wet. Shat my pants the whole way down the hill John was hitting it even faster than I was so Im going to blame him for my screwed allignment now.
  6. Singling out one line but You are aware what double clutching is aren't you??
  7. My allignment was also completely shot after a recent outting there as well. Boz drove the car his way so I started following suit trying to use every last inch of concrete which trashed the allignment but it is all fixable.
  8. my thoughts as well which is why I am taking the time to make a decision. There not exactly cheap to purchase but neither are body parts when an ill fitting/cheap seat fails to do its job.
  9. Hmmm not driving to bunnings to drive all the way back to c'town. I say meet at the place, cause its close to my house. Jay this is the friday before the 2nd MRA round which I put you down to be my bit bitch for the day.
  10. I do tend to agree, but Ive had a bad neck from a previous accident that a winged seat would more than likely helped prevent so I just feel more comfortable with them as well as the neck brace now. There is nothing a milk crate cant do!
  11. Long story but as title says im in need of an R32 rear window fairly urgently. Needs to be in sydney and I can travel/meet up pretty much anywhere to get it. Before anyone says it I know I can get one from just jap tommorrow or any other wreckers but im asking here incase someone has one laying around taking up space and wants it gone.... Thanks In advance Brad.
  12. Im deciding between the sebring and the Sparco Pro ADV now but its looking like the sebring is the better option due to the head wings.
  13. Im not overly concerned about the street ability of it as the car is only registeered so I can get it to and from the workshop instead of loading it up all the time. Yeah I am aware of the seat sizing and inserts available but im looking at using the Evolution in another vehicle so a new seat will need to be purchased for one of the cars anyways. I figured I may as well buy a perfect fit seat and put it into the GTR.
  14. I currently have Cobra technology evolution seat in my GTR. Its good and does the job but its a size to large for me so im looking at buying a new seat. Has anyone used/driven a car with the Cobra Sebring S fitted?? Its a much nicer seat than the evolution, im a better fit in the shoulder department however Im a little concerned about the visability issue that may be caused by the head wings. They are solid vs the evolutions holed design. So question is if anyone has used a Sebring technology S do you/have you noticed any visibility issues when checking blind spots etc. Cobra evolution Cobra sebring Looking at the two seats its realativly easy to determine where the lack of visibility will be. But ive only sat in them not driven with one.
  15. You dont need alcons or any other big brake kit like that to pull up a street GTR. (Or mild circuit car for that matter) Buy a decent set of slotted rotors from the RDA group buys, use a reasonable set of pads, Id recommend TRW Lucas pads but have a read of the brake pad guide at the top and make an informed decission. Buy/have made a set of braided lines or if the budget does not stretch that far buy original rubber lines which there is nothing wrong with providing they are in good condition and not 20years old. Use a decent Dot4 fluid and flush it through well. If you wanted you could replace/overhaul the master cylinder but if it works fine then id be inclind to leave it. We have a 32 GTR with decent grunt that is doing plenty of mild track work with the exact set-up mentioned above and its never had a problem stopping time and time again.
  16. Yes I do need that light. Even better bring us the whole bloody car and we can get it back out on the circuit this year sometime. Id try the china turbos if your happy to do so, why not!! 2530's would be a good option. I wouldnt rule out GTRS' either but it does make the thing a bit harder to drive on tighter circuits.
  17. He had a few moments when I was watching that 34. Thanks Boz, its always good to get someone elses oppinion. Next timed day its your steer on slicks.
  18. probably caused by the oil slick on his back tires!!! Was a great day out, Thanks boz and Glad you liked the drive of the GTR!!! Hurry up and buy another, or buy mine......
  19. I have a few sets of V700's around in your size if you wanna try them before forking out for new ones. Obviously you dont get the whole experiance of the tire from new but still get a good idea what they are like before buying new ones. If your after a hard wearing tire to last a while the A048 is perfect. Ive got a stack of them and using them on the road now as well. Even once they have well and truely gone off they wear brilliantly for street use.
  20. Chris, the RT615's ive used worked best about 34 when hot on the GTR Personally I rathered the old Falkens but the 615 is obviously there current flagship tire. Try the Khumo V700 as well. will be suprised how average the 615 is after trying a few different brands
  21. Since this last post I ended up getting the car working really well with the A048's however Im now trying 300 wide 18 inch michelin slicks. Ive had the car out twice now with now 2nd hand tires and the times plumeted as id expect, however im not happy with the way it behaves mid corner now. It doesnt understeer or oversteer but rather bounces mid corner. It almost feels like the outside shock is too soft and the front of the car dives into the track. Back on the Advans the problem is gone. I want to get it right before using the new tires as im not worried about trial and error with the 2nd handies. Really the only changes have been the fitment of the full cage (before swapping tires) and the tires themselves. The rest is all still the same and all components are in perfect condition Am I missing vital allignement changes to suit the slicks or the 18inch rim diamter (up from 17) Im asuming that changes are vital to get the most from them, Ive got the setup for the R tires down pat now but the slicks in this width are a bit different. Its going to east coast next week but thought id ask for suggestions prior to sending it over there.
  22. No rush, i have plenty of other crap to keep me occupied atm. I may want them injectors your selling too. Duncan seems like the only things to survive the weekend were falcodores. A few rotors let go as well. Ol Rambows getting a new engine before wakefield now as well, nothing wrong with his old dinosaur plonker but his become greedy and wants more grunt. You have been using Mike Hanley for sealing??
  23. Andrew id really like to borrow that headlight if you dont mind!! Ill be out there on sunday so can pick it up from you then, Duncan you just want one of them?? I am getting a mould done of it and also a brake duct/intake mould too. Duncan you know we're going to get an ammended rule book now with the loop holes fixed. Also what form of boost controller are you actaully using Duncan?? You know that the form of controlling boost is free provided the pressure remains within the manufactures specs.
  24. Was there something blocking one end!
