Read my post again. Don't worry about touching the computer. Just manipulate the physical idle screw to get the desired results.

Taken on my phone. Hence crap quality.

Who owns the black 33 that's always outside the BWS next to coles at Burpengary Shops?

R33 Active Lsd Option
insu replied to bumble_bee's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Mine works great. Cause really to be honest, for 99% of the driving you do, you want open wheel. Then when you need it locked, the computer does it for you, no fuss. You can feel it lock in when there is any spinning at the back, ie three examples: 1) Say you're doing a tight u-bolt. Naturally you want freewheel for tight turning, then you decide to boot it a little on the 180 turn. The light comes on, both wheels lock, hey presto. You get traction again, it disengages. 2) Say you're cruising along the highway in the rain, and you take a gradual corner to fast. You have your foot on the accelerator a little bit too hard and the rear steps out a smidgen. Before you even know it's stepping out the light comes on and tells you you've got slip, both wheels lock etc, you can control it better. 3) You're on gravel driving along, the moment it detects any slip, it'll lock both wheels for the duration of the slip. I thin alot of people don't like the A-Lsd's because it's not really progressive. It's either on or off. That can be a little discerning if you're not used to it. Especially if the moment you get the back out your first reaction is to jump off of the accelerator. My understanding of the system is it that locks the diff based on the readings from the ABS sensors on each wheel. -

Where And How Do You Buy A Piece Of Leather?
insu replied to lingeringsoul's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Just go to a tannery. They always have offcuts you can buy which are really good quality for very little money. -
Are you sure its the seal, or is it the water sprayer not spraying on the window when you use it but inside the boot. I know someone who had this happen to them, the rubber hose which connects to the jet had fallen off and they were continually flooding their boot.

Nice black R34 RIP something? At the PAH.

Intel 2 Core Duo E6600 2.4GHZ 1066FSB - $310 GIGABYTE S775, GA-965P-DS3P V3.3 - $205 4GB Corsair Ram: DDR2 PC-6400 - $650 Gainwind Pre OC 640mb DDR3 8800GTS PCI-E - $600 2x 250G SATA2 Seagate Barracuda's 3G/s 16mb 7200.10 (I was going to Raid with a 10,000 WD for the system files, but meh) - $236 720Watt power supply - $145 2x Asus DVD-Burner's - $104 Coolmaster case - $98 Total not inlcuding GST: $2,348 Total including GST: $2582 Obviously you add more for an aftermarket cpu cooler, which in my case I went for an Asus silent knight, plus the DVB card. I should also make a note that you could probably get gear cheaper than this which would work at the same level perfectly well if you are keeping it stock, but with the cpu, cooler, ram and motherboard I chose, I specifically looked for overclocking friendly gear. Also the video card can take a bit more using something like ATITool, or so I hear. On another note, for anyone looking to build their own system AusPc market have a decent price for a package which includes: 1x intel E6600 2.4ghz Duo Core Cpu 1x Gigabyte P965 motherboard 1x 2Gig corsair XSM2-6400 DDR2 Ram For $797.50 inc GST. http://www.auspcmarket.com.au/index.php?re..._info.php?input[product_code]=CP-E6600DS3COMBO&input[category_id]= Add a decent graphics card (8800GTS, don't even consider the ghey 85 and 8600 cards out now... check out any reviews and specs and you'll see why), a case, PSU, DVD drive & HDD and you could have a decent barebones system for under $2k I rekon (without os obviously). And before anyone asks. No I did not by my system, nor any gear from AusPc.

Its never been easier to overclock than it is now! Check out the new atomic, I think they've got a decent overclocking guide in there this month.

Mine cost about $3.2K. That's including a 22" widescreen lcd, and 5.1 surround system. I already had my own copy of vista and wireless keyboard/mouse and ups etc.

You'll be looking at higher performance than mine with that video card... But I spose for most applications it would be a moot point, as both of our systems will be running that well that you couldn't tell the difference. We both have the same ram though. Are you just going to use the raptor for your system files? You looking at overclocking your cpu at all?
-
With my case & cpu cooler I also have the scope to safetly overclock my cpu out to around 3~3.2GHZ as well as increase the FSB speed, and also overclock the graphics card a little more using something like AtiTool as well as increase my ram timings. But at the moment, it just doesn't need any of that. I've run: F.E.A.R Doom3 Quake4 & Halflife 2 All with everything maxed out and not once have any of those games even shown a flicker of a slower framerate, or have any issues at producing anything on screen. I'm very happy.

Heya gang. As some of you might have seen I had a fair few issues with my brand new computer and I just wanted to say they are all sorted now, yay! I am finally running the pc all 100% now, so I thought I'd test out the graphics so I install my old copy of F.E.A.R. I then maxed out every performance/graphics/physics/lighting setting in the game, then ran that little 'test my settings' to see if it is optimum or not for your pc (you know the one that runs that in game sequence). WELL... It looks friggin fantastic, I had no idea how much I was missing out on when I was running it on my old computer, and I thought the game looked good then! Anyway, long story short these are the stats it came up with in that end dialogue box: Minimum Frames Per Second: 67 Average Frames Per Second: 111 Maximum Frames Per Second: 255 % Under 25 FPS: 0% % Between 25-40 FPS: 0% % OVer 40 FPS: 100% So needless to say I am a very, very happy camper! If anyone else could run that same thing from FEAR on their system and post their scores along with their comp specs, I'd love to compare my bits with yours... ehehe. -Me

Anyone who's having problems with their pictures displaying, please post in this thread here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=166435 So we can try and figure out why it seems some people can see the pics fine, while others can't. -Insu

Hey, I tried what you said and the computer booted up and ran for about 5 minutes, then it crashed with a windows stop screen. Now its gone back to how it was before where it keeps turning on and off repeatedly. ARGH!!!

*UPDATE* Well I've got my computer back from them, it got sent back by courier, and I got it back on Friday. I took it out of the box: 1st thing: Case is missing two screws on the side of the case, so the panel just falls off. Great. So I plug it all in, boot it up. It turns on fine, the little windows vista trial thing is installed. I go to move the mouse: Fatal exception error in blah blah blah XXXOOO computer will now shut down. Great. Turn it back on, computer powers up for about 5 seconds then turns itself off. Sits for about 6 seconds, then boots back up for about 5 seconds then dies again. It keeps going through this loop indefinitely until you turn it off at the back. Motherf**kers. I open the case and have a look around, I notice that two of the case fans haven't been plugged in..... Great. I plug them in, everything else looks fine. I try turning it back on, powers up....... then off...... then up...... then off. Anyone have any idea what would cause this? I'll contacting them tomorrow. I am not happy. No siree bob.

My friend has a 1991 180sx sr20det with basically the same mods as my car (Exhaust, pod) My car is a: R33 GTST Both manual His car is faster, probably dynamically a little better stock as well. We both agree however that: My car brakes better, interior is nicer, cruises nicer and has more goodies. Its horses for courses, you can make either car handle/go faster/brake better than the other, the important thing to remember is that they are both nissan's and that you really should drive both to make up your own mind.
