There is a detailed post made by sk on these units. I think you'll find the thread in the stagea section. Basically they do the same job as the safc, they intercept the airflow voltage and at certain points alter the output reducing or increasing the amount of air the ecu thinks it is getting, thereby altering the fuel to suite. They seem to work ok for limited mods and not too much adjustment.

I got the 3" large body bolt on. With the split dump in SS together with my existing Apexi N1 Catback exhaust. Sounds and goes hard.

Most likely you are describing lifter noise. This is not considered significant provided the noise disappears within a couple of minutes, although typically it usually only lasts a second or two" Normally I would be wary of what is on wikipedia, but this information looks to be fairly correct. Try using a thinner oil, that should help the noise to go away faster.

The ecu is only meant to adjust the idle in 50rpm increments from memory, and should only be used if for some reason your car isn't idling as it should from the idle by-pass screw. Even through the whole range of the screw which is like 70deg or something, there isn't much adjustment there. I wouldn't worry about it too much, cause i've never heard of anyone having to use the computer adjustment. As for going pas 12 o'clock, if you do it puts the car in diagnostic mode from memory. Shouldn't be a problem if you turned back. If you turned it beyond 3-4 o'clock i think it is thou, you can f**k the little switch, so don't do that.

Actually it depends on the insurance agency you go with as to whether they'll take the years you've had 3rd party for when giving you a rating. Same deal with being a secondary driver on your parents insurance, some insurance places will acknowledge this and give you a rating, others will send you back to square one.

Yeah that'd be my point. If you did something wrong and the cops were civil etc, you'd wear it on the chin. But if you record them persercuting you, then you use the today tonight threat.

How about this: Record all the conversations you have with the police, with or without them knowing. If they don't know you're recording them, and they're being very unprofessional etc, or downright rude etc, just wait till they've gone after fining you. Make a copy of the recording. Go down to the cop shop, find the cop. Tell them you have a recording, show them the recording. If they mention its illegal, and can't be used in court, say that you know: 'But wouldn't it be terrible if this got leaked to 'A current affair, or today tonight'? Why wouldn't that be the kind of thing that would ruin a police officers career?' Hmmmmm, I live in a fantasy world.
