Yeah that's the way Andrew. Don't rush things. I haven't experienced and fuel surging as i have put a hose between the pump and the pick up sock. Its long enough to touch the bottom of the fuel tank. Also my pump is basically hanging and not on the bracket you're supposed to slide it in. But i have not been on track to experience surge.. I agree they are noisy, but its a nice buzzing sound and is not as loud as in the boot with surge tank.

Hmmm maybe you could use the R33 Service Manual to help diagnose the problem or to test the speed sensor. I doubt the instrument cluster would die out so fast or at all....

Do you have any aftermarket units connected to the ECU, such as Apexi RSM, AVCR, SAFC? Well if you do, check around the ecu if any wires are grounding itself against the chasis. Well this happened to me causing the power steering to go heavy on certain corners.

i got an 044 in my one..... used new fuel hoses, two hose clamps the size of the fuel pump (to hold fuel pump to the cradle). I used the stock fuel pump sock with a bit of hose to connect it up.

if you want i have a spare one of those washers... come to grab one if you want...

Maybe you can get a new key barrel and take it to the locksmiths and they will cut the barrel to your key. Not sure how much the barrel will cost itself, but it beats getting a secondhand one which means you will have to carry an extra key. By the way, my one is deleted.

Why not get string and make a rough measurement, but remember to leave some slack cause braided lines don't twist and bend easy.

Its pretty much the same as fitting it in the coupe. I ended up fitting a 044 in my sedan. Try and not to break the tabs on the cap when undoing it, some are brittle.

Hmmm power fc... i happen to have one too. With one cylinder down does it make your car hard to start?

I seem to be in the same boat as you are MattyP. Have you tried the CAS? My one misfires at idle and drops the 6th cylinder. But when driving its Perfect. Im sure its not the head gasket. I've replaced my one last time and problem was still there. I fixed the problem a long time ago with a new CAS and Ignitor Pack. Problem has come up again recently. I tried chaning CAS and Ignitor Pack but no luck. Some people reckon it might be the injector rail slightly bent, thus leaving a gap for an air leak. But i highly doubt it.

Well hope it does fix your problem. then i know i definitely have to get a tune.

Hmm. Well its hard to start. When it does start it misfires for a while. After that it all runs good, doesn't matter how you drive. i just think to solve my problem is a re-tune for the power fc, I've tried changing cold start switch and doesn't make a difference. Also tried retarding the timing and no difference. Well its getting annoying, people think you have a dead battery or your cars just screwed and give you funny looks. LOL.

LOL!. niceeee.......maybe i should change it to something appropriate.... All good. maybe the clutch smell is when you gave it shit when launching the car super hard. Grinding a bit of clutch. It happens.... i do it sometimes.

i think doing the RB30det build will end up being the cost of your car alone. Unless you want a budget build which isn't reliable. I reckon sell it and get a GTR.
