  2. A decent plastic welder could fix them provided there is a marking on the case to say what sort of plastic was used when they were moulded so the plastic welder can use the right plastic. If the wrong type of plastic is used it won't hold up for very long at all.
  3. Overall was a good day except for the sandblasting we got! Was really awesome to see the drifting live instead of on TV. Also a massive thanks to Sinista for the coolant on the way home. No one knows how long i would have been stuck on the side of the hume hwy if he didn't have that!

  6. After finishing my manual conversion i have come across a problem. My car now goes harder at 3/4 throttle than at full throttle. At full throttle it feels like it's holding back. Its a 32 GTST with RB20DET. It just has basic mods; front mount, 3" turbo back exhaust, R33 turbo, air filter, splitfire coil packs and a remapped chip in standard ecu. Currently running 11 psi. What is likely to be causing my problem? When it still had the auto in it, the further i pushed the pedal the harder it went... but that is no longer the case!
  7. No, apparently there's a sequence of buttons that have to be pushed in the correct order to reset it.
  8. Just wondering if anyone knows how to do a master reset on a HKS EVC III boost controller. (US model, only buttons on the front, no knob, equivelent to Jap EVC II). I've searched high and low and can only find master reset instructions for an EVC V.

  12. Just ran diagnostics. Got a code 34... knock sensor... any idea what this means and if its part of my problem??
  13. Took my car for a drive for the first time in a month or so today. It seems to be running really badly at certain points in the rev range and feels like it's hesitating. Basically wondering if this is a sign of my airflow meter being on its way out? Any other suggestions what could be causing this? Engine doesn't like to rev past 5500rpm at all... every so often it seems to run fine for a quick period of time.

  16. Looking around and i just noticed this... Now i don't think the difference in base timing could be causing this.... but could it be the fact that i haven't fitted the neutral switch wiring or grounded pin 44 on the ecu? What exactly does this do?
  17. Just finished my auto to manual conversion and took it for the first drive. Now the engine is running like crap. It hesitates between 2000 and 4000 rpm and wont rev past 5500rpm easily. It revs fine in neutral but as soon as there's load on the engine it carries on like this. It worked briefly for one quick squirt but that was it. Now could this somehow be caused by me still using the automatic ecu (which is chipped)? Another thought that has crossed my mind is bodgy fuel because the car hasn't been started in about a month? What should i look for? I really want to enjoy my new manual!!
  18. Well i'm guessing there's a lot of air in them as i've just done auto to manual conversion so all lines were installed with nothing in them. What do you mean by "back off the master cylinder" ?
  19. I found before mine let go it would change between 3rd and 4th randomly and sometimes didn't like to stay in 4th or wouldn't go in at all. Other than that there was no slipping or anything. There was a loud bang... then 3rd and 4th didn't work any more!
  20. I'm having problems bleeding the clutch on my R32 GTST. I've bled it so there's only clean fluid coming from all three nipples... no air... but there is still absolutely no pedal feel. Does anyone know whats going on???
  21. Must be something about commodore drivers cos i've had exactly the same thing happen to me, in nearly exactly the same spot!
  22. If you have a crack at it yourself make sure you have the clutch aligned properly first time or its a pain in the ass!
  23. I think you may be right. My car has ABS and i'm assuming this tailshaft came from a non ABS model. However with a little shoe-horning i managed to get it up there.
  24. Nope got a manual one. Unless i've been given the wrong one. But sitting next to the auto tailshaft i pulled out its definately longer. Every thing is fine except for the center bearing not lining up.
  25. I'm in the process of converting my 32 to a manual. It came time to bolt up the tailshaft and the center bearing isn't lining up properly. Everything else bolts up fine but the center bearing sits about an inch too far towards the front of the car. Anyone have any ideas whats going on here?? Cheers Simon
