sometimes when i am sitting in the car waiting for my gf i can hear something similar, (engine off) is it almost like a clock? perfec synchronisation? i thought maybe the electronic clock ticks? it sounds like it is coming from somewhere near there

ill be honest i am 19 and have had my license for over 2 years now, and i drive more KM's than a lot of people especially my age (min 250 - 300 a week). My dad bought me (and my brothers and sisters) an old Mercedes Benz to learn on, i have now handed it on but i am glad i didn't get a GTR etc. because the skills i learnt in it are priceless. for sure if i was in a GTR i would have killed myself or seriously harmed someone, the first time i gave my skyline some stick i nealy left skidmarks in my pants and its only a GTS-T. Its a big jump from a little 4 cylinder, i couldn't immagine learning on one. My 2c.

DEVELISH: ignore most of their negative comments we are all jealous, i don't know anyone here who has had someone else buy them a GTR and on top of that i am sure no one here had one bought for them at the age of 17. I think your lucky and if thats what you want then go for it, but u must understand that insurance is going to be impossible for a reason, not attacking your driving or anything but anyone with little experiance in a car like that is certain to have an accident or write it off. One of my mates parents bought him a Twin Turbo supra, well let me just say he only had it for a coupple of weeks.... Im not talking you out of it, but perhaps a GTS-T with a full GTR kit would be an option just for a coupple of years? it is kinda rediculas (sp) to pay that much a year on insurance. in 2 years you could have bought a GTS-T with the money you save on insurance. in 4 years you could buy your own GTR with the money you save on insurance. Just a thought.... Good Luck.... ps. GET WHITE!!! and yes the back gets really really really really really dirty, like black dust from the exhaust, i wash my car every week and 3 days of driving and you can write in the dirt, but then again i ALWAYS run my turbo timer for 1 min. but the other colours get just as dirty, u can just see it more on a white one.

Mine did that the first time i drove it, i tried to put it in reverse while i was roling down a driveway (backwards of course) and it made a small crunch, i guess they all do it. now i just fully stop then put it in reverse

WHITE is by far the best colour!!!!!!!!! anyway good luck to u! i have to work hard and go without food some days but its worth it. i work damn hard for my skyline but its Way worth it! :uh-huh: i have a GTS-T mainly coz of insurance ($2900 a year) and that i doubt the bank would lend me 40k (even if they did i couldn't make the repayments @ $10 an hr) as it is i have driven around for nealy 3 months with bald tyres (im still saving). Running expenses are high but its well worth it . If i was you i would find insurance first! (Try Fameous Classic) Just say ur age and GTR in the same sentance and im sure most insurance companies will just laugh, say no, or quote the price of ur car. i found insurance before the car which was good, because the other solution was to get a more expensive car, because the importer could arrange insurance cheaper. i agree that there are a lot of GTST GTR look alikes but what exactly can i do to the rear? anyway i kinda like that wing more than the GTR one, and i would like to leave it there so people wont think the body kit is rice because that still shows its a gtst

Bad news: had a mechanic check out the water leaking into my door, i need a new window seal (sounds expensive) can i just go to nissan and get one? how much would it cost to get one and have it installed? Good News: when i bought my car i was told it had a 3" cat back exhaust but the mechanic looked at it and said i have a 3"dump and cat :uh-huh: (thats good stock is 2.5" isn't it?) anyway he said it didn't look stock so that will save me some money as it was going to be one of the next mods i did Thanks!

Hi, the middle bolt that holds my front bar on has come loose, so that means that i have to take off my front grill (the bit where the bonnet release is), should i put a GTR one on while i am it? then all i have to do is change the wing and i have a full GTR kit? anyway how much would a white GTR front grill cost me? Thanks!
