two40: i agree with you totally, i am lucky because i am still learning manual, so i know my limits. even when i was driving they old 230 merc, i NEVER had a drag unless it was a straigt (at least 120 corners) road and i could see a long way ahead. epping road was a fav long dips so u could see ages ahead, m2 toal gates were another

i was on the pacific highway and these hoons went out of the way to stop on either side of me (so we were all first at the lights across 3 lanes) they were reving their cars and pumping the doof, so i thought ***it and i reved the car right up (damn noisy, then blow off noise) when the lights changed they both hammered it and i took off from the lights as slow as i could. anyway one of the cars (an old shit commonwhore) ran over the concrete median strip and headed towards on comming trafic. so their mates in the pulsar slowed down to c what happend and i just crused past them at 50 in a 60 zone, then when i was turning right off the highway towards my house, they drive by beeping their horns and shouting some shit out the window. What Tossers! i didn't need to drag them, they new i had won it before the lights had turned green. anyway thats my first encounter with tossers on the road, there have been heaps of other people beeping and giving thumbs up in approval, (especially other skyline owners) :) anyone else have stories like this? where people have been dicks on the road because their car is not as good or becuase u won't race them? or something similar? anyway thats the end of my rant. On another note, it has taken me 2 weeks but i finally have worked out the car and can control it pretty well

i was just thinking of covering the bolt with it? or putting it all around it? (on the inisde of the boot)

after i wash my car i notice that water has built up on the floor of the boot, it also wets the carpet i have a photo of where the water is building up. i think the water is getting in through the bolts under my wing! because you can sometimes see water drips there. What should i use to stop it leaking? Thanks!

yes you can, a guy at my school lived on hamilton island, you can get your license there at 16 (Full license) When he was boarding at school he went up to the RTA and had a full black License at the age of 16, the rest of us were just getting our L's and having to wait another year just for our P's

My Boot also leaks when i wash the car i have traced it to water getting in through the hole where the wing bolts onto my boot. How do i seal this up so it doesn't leak any more? Thanks!

hmmm... ok then, well i have had the turbo timer re-connected ill go out in a controled environment and have a passanger monitor my boost while i launch through 1st and 2nd a coupple of times?

one of my friends says that his car when he hammers it it jumps over 1bar for a coupple of seconds then drops back down to about 13psi, if it was doing that would it be ok?

hmmm... im starting to have this feeling inside, that my car has been pumped up to some sort of monster car, its got phuk loads of power when boost comes on and two blow off valves, i have no idea why 2 would be needed. then again perhaps its just that it has more power than my old '87 230 Benz

i imagine it would be the stock turbo or the previous owner would have used that as a selling point, hmmm... what does the standard one look like?

i have a coupple of questions about my new R33GTS-T. 1. at how many revs does the car come on boost? 2. When the boost kicks on, how much extra power does it add? The reason i ask this is i was driving up falcon street in crows nest doing less than 40, (i was in second gear) then i floored it, the revs went up pretty quickly but when the turbo kicked in it threw me back in the seat and the car stepped sideways (thank god no one was next to me) [it was nothing major just like what you see when some people launch at the lights! i don't even think i left my lane ]. i am new to turbo cars so i have to learn to drive them, but is that normal, such a big power increase to break traction at about 50Ks an hr?? or would the previous owner have done some tweaking? i didn't look at the boost gage on the dash, but once before when i was on boost the needle was off the clock! should i get this checked? 3. When i start of in first gear (in the wet) i don't get wheel spin, but as soon as i go over about 2500 revs the wheels start to skid, is this normal? or perhaps i just need to learn to drive better? 4. If i should get new tyres for the rear which ones? at the moment it has 225/50/16 dunlop fm901's. Thanks!
