  2. You should have a look at my car, I've got a HKS GTRS put in by John not long ago, drives bloody great Happy to show ya what it looks like (or doesn't! It's pretty stealthy) and how it drives.
  3. Wow - plumber appointment style (biiig window)!! hahah I'll rock up, just got the car back!! WOOHOO
  4. Cool. Well I'll be going back when the chances pop up and taking more vides, hope to show steady improvement.
  5. I'm interested. YPGM Teon. Will ring Derek if I don't hear from you tomorrow (since that's the deposit cutoff).
  6. Come on guys! I wants me boots haha
  7. I suggest you try looking for replacement filters for those ARC airboxes before buying one? Apparently they are hen's teeth to find. I've got 256rwkw on stock airbox, (many) extra holes in the airbox only gave 3rwkw extra on the dyno. Stock is as stealth as it gets Further to feeding it an extra inlet, the other thing they do to mod the stock airbox is pull out the material glued to the inside of the airbox, and sand away the honeycomb looking stuff from the same area.
  8. Whose the black R32 GTR with the red Nismo streaks up the sides that I see every few days on the Parkes Way side of Civic? So common... saw girl driving a silver R33 S2 (I think you're exhaust is too small...) waiting at the lights on one side, and a maroon R22 S1 waiting on the other side. If I was in mine, that would have been 3 at once! Micro-cruise! haha
  9. Mine doesn't complain Ed from (god knows where these days) first put it in my car, Trojan also use it. Can't be that bad
  10. Interesting, how does having an oil cooler impact on this? (as I have). My oil light flickered on/off for a coupla times when accelerating on the main straight at Wakefield, but the car didn't miss a beat otherwise.
  11. I've used Motul 8100 for years now, no problems in hot or cold. Says 5W40 on it.
  12. The Blitz kit needed cutting into the rear of the front bumper on my S2 R33 GTST.
  13. Damn Alex!!!! Feel for you Bad conditions, or silliness? Mine is just having rust and leaks removed from the boot after my dodgy-a55 insurance repairs last year. Edit: Bugger. Car won't be finished, possibly on Tuesday. UGH. Two months more wait!!!
  14. If the panel beaters are done (UGH), I'll be there.
  15. I kinda guessed something like this. In that case, we could have been more useful in answering his original question! Seems to me like it would be a pretty in-depth tune by a mechanic for a PFC running all that, but then wouldn't the car already be tuned? Is there a particular problem you want to get rid of with a new tune Goldie?
  16. hahaha, what's so special bout his "gear"? to warrant "veeedy nice"
  17. Post in wrong section much? A55hole much?
  18. ????? !!!!! Curious now lol
  19. I've got one for sale. PM me.
  20. Not sure if sarcastic, but I plan to make more with better times and no offs Might even put em in a blog on here.
  21. A good tune should *last* years. Assume u mean 'take' Depends if your getting a fuel/timing controller, a boost controller, or the whole shebang (full ECU). A full ECU from scratch is like... 600-700? The others, maybe half that I guess.
  22. Haha deciding whether or not to let out the full pessimist in me I've got a rule with second hand cars, mostly because I seem to have bad luck: Cost = purchase price + 10% on necessary repairs within 1 year (especially for a performance import, and regardless of whether you got a mechanic to inspect it, some things they can't find) + 10% on mods you can't resist. Insurance can be as cheap (and scary) as just compulsory, all the way up to 4000 or so/year if you have bad history+P's+young+import. So the cost in the first year of a "18k car" might be closer to 22k... Plus petrol. I use $50/wk no matter how frugally I drive. Umm yeah And this is assuming your not picky/semi-OCD like me and try to fix every tiny thing with the car Hindsight is a wonderful thing: always 20-20 I'll give you the advice I gave my brother: if you're young and aren't able to flush a lot of money each week, grab something really zippy like a Honda Integra (DC2 of course!), which is fun to throw about, and won't cost you anything like a Skyline will. Seems to have worked out well for bro so far
  23. God, we're common as muck these days!!: While getting a lift with dad, waiting at some lights behind a blue R32 GTR, a black 4 door R34 being driven by a middle-aged woman pulled into the intersection going the other day, then we followed the R32 to our next intersection, and there was a silver R33 with a black bonnet and GTR wing waiting at the lights, which then passed us as I got dropped off. Hey wait.. R32, R34, R33... BINGO!!!!
