I also had this "problem" Can the 2 hour thing maybe just used in the For sale sections? It's a real pain in the a55 if you've made a spelling mistake or said something silly in another section

A few questions: 1) Will there only be one car at a time on the back track or the skid pan at any given time? 2) Fire extinguisher necessary? 3) I'd dress in full length cotton and leather shoes (and helmet on the back track). Is that OK? 4) Are the 'winners' on the skid pan and the back track based purely who gets the best time( s )? I'll be using my Wakefield license, which is AASA certified (confirmed with Wakey on the phone).

Errr for some weird reason, I can't edit my original post. I just want to add that I have about 8 Litres of Nulon "Red Top-Up Long Life Coolant". It's the premixed sort. My mechanic put some other stuff in, so I can't use this. $20 if you pick it up! Not worth shipping cos of the size/weight.

All parts from a 97 stock R33 GTST S2 and in perfect working order (except the turbo). I just upgraded my turbo and these parts are no longer needed: Stock Injectors: $120 6 barely used NGK sparkplugs (part number NGK 2382 BKR5ES-11): make an offer... Stock AFM: $60 Stock turbo elbow (needed to put a RB25 turbo on an RB20): $60 Stock side mount intercooler (few bugs ): $100 Stock RB25 turbo, and some parts dangling off it (mmmm technical ). Mechanic says the housing and other bits are fine. But the bearings or something are rat5hit. Make an offer if interested or you want more info, I'll do my best to answer/put u in touch with someone who can tell u. I have this exact same problem. I've apparently got a quarter of a turn in the driveshaft before the rest wakes up and turns with it Makes me jerk on gear changes and any momentum change, like I'm learning to drive manual. YUCK.

Just so ppl know: I asked them, and current Wakefield licenses are AASA, even though it doesn't mention it on the card itself. Woohoo!

Well that's what someone on another forum posted as the price for 1 year. I don't think I have time for sending away stuff etc etc if they can take 2-3 weeks to process a CAMS application like ppl have said. I'm most likely to use the license to go to Wakefield and this event over the next year... maaaybe hillclimb or something if I have a look and like it... Sounds like CAMS is more official and that you can't just rock up and buy one on the day, like you can with AASA?

Q about licenses was answered in another thread for me $90/yr for the AASA one. BTW, this would be another great place to try out my new car cam, assuming internal suction cups ones are OK.

Just looking into this. My cars worthy (ie moves under it's own volition lol) now. I have the license you get when you do a track day at Wakefield ("Clubcomp License". Is that good enough for this? I don't have a helmet though :| Just watched the vids with the cones. I GARANTEE I will get lost on that course hahaha If my license is OK, and I can get a helmet from somewhere + pay in time, I'm up for this. Someone lemme know asap! OH by the way, do they let more than one car at a time onto that track up the top of the driving facility? Cos that's where I did the safety training thing, and they let about 10 inexperienced drivers on there at once... with all the blind corners n stuff its asking for trouble IMO. A soarer nearly got rear ended by a Daihatsu locking it up coming into the last downhill bend before the straight..... EEP. Only one car at a time on there, yeah?

haha I think it's too late to get the license on time isnt it! It sounds interesting though! I'll look into it next time I posted in the events section about going to Wakefield this Tuesday but no comments I loved it the first time and wanna see what I can do in more than 2 sessions haha BTW, went for a ride tonight in my car and then in with a mate in his new SS commodore. Both agreed mine would fairly kicks his ass... not from a dead halt, but would be far ahead not long after
