There was a thread (possibly on the nissansilvia forum) of a dude who was hit by a 4WD and his front right wheel ended up sitting next to it's shock absorbed in the drivers seat. I think the guy was in a coma a coupla days, he was VERY lucky to survive. Does anyone know where that thread is? I want to show a friend the picture of the wheel in the seat. Can't find it for the life of me. Anyone know where it is?

Fs: Apexi Power Fc Boost Control Kit Sold
sl33py replied to sl33py's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
... I'm still at work atm Proof enough for u that I'm busy? Fair enough @ legit comments. Just wondered why ppl are so worried about what the thing looks like when you can easily see my posting history here and tell I'm a real person et etc. Anyway, I'll get my brother to give me a lift there either tomorrow or next day (work project is under pressure) and I'll take a few pics and upload. Just pls don't offer me $200 like one joker did Cheers. -
SOLD Item: Xtreme light flywheel. Age: Maybe 1000kms on it, otherwise AS NEW. Condition: Excellent. Price: $260 shipped to eastern states, $270 to WA/TAS. This was $490 new, and looks good as new. To Fit (What car): R33 GTST. Location: ACT, will ship within AU. Contact: Ben: 0404 896 713, or just PM me. I'll do my best to answer any questions. Comments: The stock flywheel is ~14kg and this one is ~6kgs (I just weighed it). A lighter flywheel will let your engine rev quicker. I was actually caught by surprise and bounced off redline when I first did a decent launch with this FW in, because the car went through the rev range quicker than I was used to: the difference is definitely noticeable. I'm going back to stock because although this is great for the track, 99.9% of my driving is in the city... Also check out my castor rods for sale. Cheers, Ben.

Fs: Apexi Power Fc Boost Control Kit Sold
sl33py replied to sl33py's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
rysith, just spoke to the mechanic. I'm sorry, but there are no model numbers printed on the side. Mechanic says the unit has never been used, it's just out of the box (I've got all the parts contained in a bubblewrap lined paper bag). It was originally purchased with the intent of using it on his R32 GTR, then it was going to be used on his R33 GTST. He's a busy boy so I'm not surprised it kept getting put on the backburner. He spoke to the Apexi distro for me, and they said as far as the PFC boost control kit is concerned, if it physically fits (there are 3 pin and 5 pin versions), then it WILL work. This thing just has wires and stuff. The actual logic, software and control parts are in the PFC itself. So if it has the right number of pins for your PFC, it'll work. eddieeeee-ro, I don't have a picture of it. It's sitting at my mechanics in my boot. I'm pretty busy with work and have no wheels, so doubt I'll be able to get out there this week. You can see my feedback on here and eBay, I'm not here to stuff ppl about. If someone's properly interested, then PM me like the smart people are! I may miss messages on this thread! PS no low-ballers please, sensible offers only. These are hard to get hold of, this unit is as yet unused AND I'm including shipping. Thanks. -
R33 Rb25det Power Fc With H/c
sl33py replied to ICER33's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Sorry to tag onto this thread, but to whoever buys this, I have the Apexi PFC boost kit to suit for sale if it isn't included here. PM me if you want it. Might help the sale of this ECU! Cheers. -
Mine is 10 years old. I had some of the the bushes in the suspension wear out - the rear cradle ones. My mechanic said he was surprised, but then commented that he guessed they were coming into that kind of age now (mine's 10 years old). My radiator and water pump were both stuffed shortly after buying it. My turbo died a few months back running normal power, driving very boringly, and having done only 1 track day. The brake rotors were also cracking about 6 months into ownership (had it 3 years now). None of these things resulted from the car being flogged (at least, while I've owned it...).
-
Try harder... I went through $80 of petrol in the first 3 days I owned mine! lol ~350-380kms / tank isn't a surprise these days for me. See what happens when you're not so new to the power and (I assume) giving it to it

Yeah - integration with a PFC is the primary benefit. I'll ring my mechanic and post the model number here (and also PM it to you) on Monday. Cheers. -

Item: 1x PAIR R33 stock castor/radius rods. With excellent condition nolythane bushes. Age: The bushes less than 2 years use. The arms.... the age of the car I assume (11 years). Condition: Perfect working order, bushes are less than 2 years old. Price: $80 delivered. To Fit: (What car) R33 GTST S1, S1.5 S2, S2.5 Location: Canberra, ACT. Will ship within AU. Contact: Ben, on 0404 896 713, or PM me. Comments: Just don't need these any more. The bushes were installed by the car yard I bought the car from (cos the old ones were shot). I've since replaced my entire suspension with adjustable everything so these are just sitting here.

Thanks for the useful info for the punters Paul sOkiasu, it would work with your PFC. He means 'slow' as in they are rare as in hard to get hold of. I got this one from my mechanic because his project car has been on the backburner too long, but then he bought a new GTR anyway so didn't need it hehee. if someone's interested gimma a PM/buzz, it's just gonna help me pay off the mods currently being done on my car -
SOLD Item: Apexi Power FC Boost control kit Age: Unknown Condition: Out of box but never used. Sold to me by my mechanic (Trojan Motorsport). All parts included to hook it up to your PFC. It is the THREE pin version. If your PFC has three pins, it WILL work. There is no logic inside this unit, just wires. The software is all in your PFC. Price: $300 Shipped. These are $372 brand new on Nengun and apparently there is a ~2 month wait from Apexi in stocking them. I actually paid a fair bit more than that, now I think about it To Fit (What car): RB25DET which is fitted with an Apexi Power FC. It has the 3 pin input. Location: ACT, shipping included. Contact: Call Ben on 0404 896 713 or PM me. Comments: Selling because I've decided to use a dual boost control system. Check my trader feedback on here. See my 100% positive eBay feedback Happy to accept direct deposit (preferred) or Paypal (add $10 bucks). If you're local to ACT, cash will also suffice Photos added. Thanks.

Hmm I've got a Nismo pump instead of the rising rate fuel reg. I'm looking for 260-270, I don't like fireworks (stock bottom end!). So from what you said, I guess yeah I'm better off with my 740cc's. Will find out earyl next week anyway when John's done!
-
Bullet - I've got 740cc's goin in, stock block + GTRS, mods as in sig. Was told it'll be fine by my mechanic. Is it just 'fiddly' to do or something?

What the h3ll is it with ppl avoiding taking their car to a mechanic?? I wonder just how many cars are kept off the road for months at a time cos of ppl scratching around on here trying to solve faulst which could be solved in a hours of a mechanic's time. Especially when ppl have a hard time describing faults on here... you could just SHOW it to a mechanic and say "THERE! THAT! What IS that?? Fix it pls!"

Hks Gt-rs Turbo Analysis For Rb-25 Engine

Hks Gt-rs Turbo Analysis For Rb-25 Engine
sl33py replied to Turbz RB-25's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Thanks SK, ever knowledgeabe Nah he's serious Turboz, boost is just a measure of how hard you're having to work to overcome the flow restriction of the engine. In a perfect world you would have very low boost or none (spelt: 'cubic inches' lol). There are engines whose design flow air really well and have unusually low boost levels to get the same amount of power as others who have to really crank it to get as much power (using the same turbo). And as SK said, the other things which REALLY change it are the tuning and other work etc etc. -
