  1. does anybody have any 17's lying around that will fit a 32/33 i can borrow? im planning on going down to collie this weekend and want to take an extra set of tyres for the whore incase (plan to) blow the ones I currently have on the car, will reward your generosity with a carton. Any damage to the rims of course will be fixed/paid for. ta Shaun
  2. the RSM's gets its speed reading from a wire from the ECU so its electronic, unless there's a mechanical cable there too for the odomoter *shrug* Shaun
  3. sorry, but.... ewww. chrome sucks dogs balls.
  4. ausGTR: just for reference, in 1992 the R costed 110k NEW off the showroom floor, the NSX was 157K. these days I think a NSX is around 220k?? or so, god knows how much an R34 R would be if they sold them here new but id say around 150k. EDIT: just checked redbook.. the NSX is now ~250K.. ouch. Shaun
  5. there's a video of a 34R and a NSX R spec or whatever the top spec is on the web drag racing.. the NSX gets a 13.0 or there abouts and the R got a 13.3. I think it was a best motoring video the R kicked its ass on the launch but then the NSX started to catch and overtake it, something i wasn't expecting. ill try find the video tonight if i remember. Shaun
  6. as a guestimated guide, say you have around 30% loss through the drivetrain ( around 25-35% ive read around the place ). 124 * 1/0.7 =~ 177 KW and they have about 180KW at the engine or thereabouts (stock) but then again, it also depends on what dyno you have placed your car on aswell too many damn factors. i usually just say (as a rough guide of course) whatever HP at the wheels, thats how many KW are at the engine because when you do the coversion 30% for loss, then 33% conversion factor they roughly equal the same. Shaun
  7. yeah, he's awesome.. if you have any problems he's happy to talk you through them etc. got myself an awesome car through him and saved THOUSANDS!! Shaun
  8. I think i have a pair of SR's in my car, i tried looking for the exact model a while back and didnt have much luck. seats anyway, they are awesome seats, very comfortable and would recommend them.. They hold you in very well around all sorts of corners and give a greater feeling that the car is sticking to the road alot better as your not being thrown around Shaun
  9. yeah, that was the plan once a turbo+cooler go on... one day. I just wanted to see if i could get the ****er working but i can't be assed anymore. anyone want it for a carton of Cold? Shaun
  10. mayhem, ta.. mine only has 4 wires at the rear of it though. I think ill ditch it as it only maps it for the whole rev range. Shaun
  11. adam, can you write out the pin diagrams on the back of the AFC for me?? I have a series one ( i think, single knob) , but it has no cable so i dont know which ones are power, and which are the sensor wires. Shaun
  12. if you have a press.. or someone has one theyre a piece of piss. mine came off the car and the new ones were pressed in in under 10mins. take it to who you trust really. Shaun
  13. im not bagging turbosmart products as ive used them myself and have found them quite good. but a review from autospeed, don't they SELL their product also? Shaun
  14. CA20DETT project. twin turbo CA20 Shaun
  15. if you want video of skylines racing about i have hours of footage of me at MC and Pro-Max, aswell as some footage of Cameron and some black 33 that has been down there once or so. edit: some footage of simons 32 aswell i think. *scratches head* In car and outside Shaun
  16. bah, that was the only time i did it and it was to see if U98 actually does increase fuel economy as it says on their brochure. but it still ran fine... not a sign of knocking/pinging at all. It was all granny driving that week as I was seeing if i could beat my ~430km/tank, but no luck you would definitely NOT do it during summer though. Shaun
  17. coc69? if you added extra flares/guards to the gts-t when it would be close to a GTR anyway, theyre already pumped out a bit, not as extreme as an R though. On certain angles it fools a few people as they never knew GTS-t's had any sort of pumped guards as such. Shaun
  18. hmm i think i need to do something to my car, i go up the freeway from rocko everyday like you sykyzer and can only get about 8km/L, tried a tank of normal unleaded too without any messing about and still got the same. you can't really complain, you buy a skyline you live with the consequences Shaun
  19. anyone know anything about a mashed 32 on the freeway (south, leach exit) Saturday around lunch time? I had a friend calling me up whom thought I had totalled my 32 as it was gun-metal. Drove past Sunday morning at 4am and there was a pole down. Nasty Shaun
  20. teehehe, everyone with their excuses. Couldnt make it down this morning as I had a late night, what time did you guys run to? Shaun
  21. yeah, i live 50km's from where i work so i do 500km's during the week just driving to work plus probably 200extra km's each weekend. its had its fair share of highway kilometers and thrash km's. when i got it, being on a 2L i expected 10km/L, i average about 8km/L for every tank, worse when i have a weekend with motorsport in it regarding legit km's.. there are cars out there that are legit and you can tell by the overall condition of the car.. and of course you also get the woundback ones with screwed interiors and the like. Not every car racks up high km's, especially in japan. Shaun
  22. my '92 had 32,000 km's a year ago when i imported it and she just ticked over to 64,000 last week or so. if a day at the track racks up 10,000.. OUCH. My car was a track car in Japan and I also frequent autokhana's almost once or twice a month and its in perfect working order. Haven't had a single issue with it, nice strong cars! although the engine is pretty much a stocker which is probably the reason why Shaun
  23. You guys have been wondering wether your cars value will be going up or down with all these new schemes and so forth, check out this letter from the Department of State Revenue. I imported my car last year and licenced it myself, a 1992 R32 GTS-t.. the most you'd pay for a modified one in WA would be around 20k most likely (private sale). Mine was in excellent condition, low km's and a few nice mods and cost me around 19k all up on the road so i put down 15k for the market value. They think its worth 32k, I wonder if anyone in their department would like to buy it at that price The only issue is redbook doesnt have the GTS-t, it only has the R which is what they think it is, god damn retarded government!!! Now i have to justify the cost of my car, ***ktards! Shaun
  24. screw the jap stuff, a 911 Turbo. Shaun
  25. 33.. hmm check Japanese Motorsport or www.nismo.com.au on one of the sites i saw a cage for 700odd. Shaun
