  1. 1> after looking at it today, its about 60mm thick without padding. 2> it reduces the car's flex when cornering quite dramatically, im sure the front and rear strut braces also help in keeping the car rock solid. 3> came with the car. my cousin has a 32 cage that I think he will be selling as his son got a yellow for it in his R and he said they wont be bothering putting it back in. So if you have a 32 and are looking for one I could ask him. Shaun
  2. YODA In WA they are illegal to have a FULL Cage in the car. However, you are able to get a permit for a half cage or roll bar as they call it. At present I run a full 6 point cage in the car and haven't had any issues with the law at all and it is clearly visible with the huge thick crossbar through the rear window of the car (around 80mm thick with padding). I have had cops sit on my tail at both traffic lights and on the roads and haven't pulled me over. They have even had a good look at my car while parked at a motorsport event with me there and didn't bother to question it. It's basically illegal due to the fact that you can smash your head into the bar in an incident and cause yourself damage, but as I see it, its better to have one in the car for safety sake although I hope I never have to use it. It greatly helps in the handling of the car also which is the main reason I have left it in. If you want one in, you risk a yellow sticker but thats something you have to live with! Shaun
  3. remember it cant be imported until next year for road use and has to be stored in Japan until then. also heard rumors that they could be changing the 15year rule to 20. then your F.UCKED! Shaun
  4. unsure were you are located, so, in WA you can a permit for a half cage (called a roll bar) for your car, you need to remove the seats so its registered as a 2 seater. Shaun
  5. i use to just leave the holes there, no-one can tell unless they came right up to it and look at it. i put the R wing back on last week as it seems everyone in perth now has it off... bah it looks more agressive now with it on Shaun
  6. any easy way to adjust your castor on the skyline as its non adjustable, is to mash a kerb i now run 5deg on the left front, it helps in turning to the left. haha Shaun
  7. i have the HKS EVC III thats exactly what mine was doing and this morning while i got to line up against an S2000, it started doing the same god damn thing.. AAAAAAAARGH. i just removed the pipes from the controller box in the engine bay, gave them a good blowing. this weekend i might take them all completely off and do the same. back before it was fully fubar'd, it use to spike over 1.1bar, now about 10% of the time (like this morning) it bounces about 0.1 around what i have it set at. no idea what the problem is. Shaun
  8. Also, I need a passenger R32 Type-M skirt.. even then front half.. 1/4 will do as the front of mine is fubar'd and it can be tacked together by those wonderful plastic welder peoples Shaun
  9. Shaun Programmer @ Highway1 in West Perth. contemplating going back to uni and doing pharmacology, decisions decisions. Shaun
  10. just for your information, reaction time doesnt count upon your final time.. The counter starts as soon as you pass zee laserzz. but if you react in under 0.4secs you get a red light, but your time is still recorded. *ZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP* Shaun
  11. i recommend the HKS EBC. I use to have problems with it when it first came from japan with it spiking and whatnot, but i pulled the pipes off and gave it a quick clean and now its working. And does so quite nicely too. :-) Shaun
  12. 25k -> 30k for that? yeah right the mods are minimal (cooler, clutch, seats) and you'll find all that stuff on most skylines going around. modified skylines when bought from japan are most often the same price, if not less than a stocker because people are too scared to buy modded cars. the lights to me look like a series1 also, id put it at under 20k MAX, if it is a series 2 then maybe up to 25k. i cant beleive the price variation out there on the market these days, some differ 10k and have the same options, I want to know what suckers are buying the expensive ones and that wing.. ohh god. haha sorry, i just think its a big rip. Shaun
  13. depending on your budget. get some Birdgstone S03's.. DAMN NICE tyre i use them to race on aswell and they perform very nicely. Shaun
  14. KE TX3 Turbo. -> MKII Escort (lady rear ended it) -> MKII Escort (still have now) the escorts were bunky's for thrashing about till my skyline arrived, and as for the TX3.. damn theyre shit cars. Shaun

  17. Paul: you shoulda seen the the amount of people you scared in nedlands on wednesday(i think) when you took off down the main drag. I just had a big grin on my face while all the old folks were hittin the deck. hahaha big thumbs up! Shaun
  18. ive seen a few around. nice italian chick in thornlie in a black R33. blonde in rocko in a burgundy R33 and two chicks who drive R32's there's also a hottie in rockingham driving around in a KF TX3 4WD. nothing turns you on more than seeing a hot chick driving a nice car. Shaun
  19. their so damn fragile you can dent them just by closing the bonnet, which is why i throw it down from about 20cm. I also worried at car meets.. i dont mind people leaning on the car's solid panels but when they get their ass cheak over the edge of the panel and on to the bonnet, thats a no-no! If that young lady dented my bonnet, im sure she could pay me back somehow. Shaun
  20. my 32 turbo are 4 pot, so you'd instantly assume the 33's are also. as for non turbo's.. im sure someone here can go out to their car and count how many pistons are showing on the outside of their front brakes and double it Shaun
  21. check out this DBA catalogue for all the sizes nissan brake sizes Shaun
  22. hmm a stock GTR? but yeah, it does all come down to personal preference. when deciding i opted for the 32 due to its aggressive racing looks as compared to the much larger and rounded (whale) of a 33. awesome car though, a few good improvemnts over the 32 such as a larger engine, something that will be going into the 32 soon hopefully Shaun
  23. im selling them as they were in the boot of my car when i got it along with heaps of other crap which i wont be using, they have been used as they arent in brand new condition but there are no cracks or nothing so they are in good nick. i lied about the globe being orange, i just had another look at them and its the surround of the globe thats orange, it does look possible that you could remove the cover and then remove that small inner orange part that surrounds the globe, then just either use an orange globe or if you wish a clear one and it will look the same as those in the photo's you supplied. Shaun
  24. aybee.. i have a pair for sale. click here the slight orange tinge is due to the orange indicator light inside. Shaun
  25. whoah.. wtf.. my post came before jeff's.. stupid forums. Shaun EDIT: and it did it again, quality.
