  1. isnt this WA section a wasteland of sorts? all kinds of shit gets posted here already. Shaun
  2. looks are personal prefference. myself, 32 looks a shitload better than the 33's, alot more aggressive in its styling.. 33 was when rounded cars were coming into fashion. ergh. but both are awesome, 33 is obviously newer, larger engine capacity.. i had to go for the 32 even though it was more expensive, (mods+condition) because A> looks B> you dont see any on the roads, you'd be lucky to have more than 20 in perth. there's more R's than T's. Shaun
  3. only a blonde couldn't figure them out! Shaun
  4. i agree there aswell, some have more roadsense than others which can keep them out of trouble, but that doesnt mean they can handle a scary situation. You may think your a good driver but when it comes down to it, most people panic and lock it up. I use to be like everyone else thinking I was a top notch driver, doing this and doing and getting away with it, but when it comes down to the crunch in a scary situation this wasn't the case. I try to race at MC +max action every month now to help improve my driving.. BTW, everyone get your asses into gear and race at the PRO-MAX challenge.. get some skylines in there and show everyone what they and YOU can do.. panzy's Shaun
  5. yep.. still haven't seen his R yet Shaun
  6. i find it scary young kids driving any sort of car that havent had any sort of PROPER training and practice in a controlled area. The government needs to bring in some sort of power/weight ratio for P platers (3 years now) which I have heard the eastern states has something similar to this? For the inexperienced driver i find both RWD + POWER an issue, and both combined is very dangerous and in the wet, AAAARGH! the age thing, my cousin has co-bought his GTR with his dad (i think he's paying the rest off *shrug*) and he's only 18!! But he's a good driver (apparently ), into karts, forumla fords etc. and moi turns 25 at the end of this year. Shaun
  7. that's also where the HICAS computer sits also? tis next to the factory rear speakers amp. Shaun
  8. dont all lines from the 32, maybe even the 31 have seperate coil packs? i know mine does. Shaun
  9. aren't most museums free? otherwise.. who would go? unless it was a Coke museum or a car museum Shaun
  10. hmm havent heard of that one.. but there was the one down greenmount when the truck lost its brakes and mashed into the cars at the midland/roe interchange.. BAAAAAAAM. now they have the truck arrester beds down the hill.. would love to take the bunky into that. hehe Shaun
  11. yeah nice power there guys, specially from the RB20 a quick question.. FRIGGIN FOOT-POUNDS for torque.. WTF, i dont get it.. is it a straight forward linear conversion like HP-KW or is it logorithmic? the reason i ask is on the aston martin website (checking out the vanquish after watching bond last night ) it says the car has 400ft/lb = 541NM.. linear, that would give your car ~2200NM, where'as a LS1 is only 500NM or so.. i dont get it.. someone care to explain? Shaun
  12. i feel sorry for you ;P, hows she cope with that extra weight of the 33? also once saw a gunmetal 32 around perth with a RB25DE (had a GTS25 sticker on the rear), unless the wannabe forgot the t on the end :-) Shaun
  13. i like the looks of the car, but that poofter purple.. ewwww i can see it being used for a few mardi gras floats. Shaun
  14. a guy over here in perth has that kit (or VERY similar) and he's on the forums.. GT N1K.. he came along to the cruise last night and it looks farkn mad on the road. Shaun
  15. yer.. number 2 is a cigarette lighter double adapter... had one in my car which had a few devices plugged into it. you plug the extra ones in underneath and you can turn them on with those buttons on the top. same cage as mine too.. swoite. Shaun
  16. yeah, sometimes they take a while.. apparently they do all the licences in batch's once a month or so.. you may have sent yours in just after the last one was made. regarding CAMS, you will need to join a CAMS affiliated car club also so you can get your CAMS licence.. 20$ for CCCSR (XXXXX from pitstop bookshop, sorry, forgot his name) or 20$ for AFARCC ( i think this deal is still on) then you can apply for your licence which costs around 50$ for the 2S and $90 for the 2NS. Ful Sik ...

haha nice.. i made a similar one a while back while umm.. under the influence... notice the reference to boogie nights Shaun
  18. Guys, I know a lot of you guys wanted to make a team for MC etc but I think this might be a better option, It's held at belmont racecource (nice and close), it runs once a month and you can enter teams if you wish or enter it by yourself, there is also no committment to racing at the next event either.. so really you could create a Skyline team with 10 cars in it if you wish which would look pretty spectacular. :-) anywho its just an option, I will be entering it by myself for each of the events unless a team happens then ill be happen to join the lot of you. also, a rumour from within the family .. MC will be moving to a 55 acre lot next to the control tower at the airport.. expect a MASSIVE skid pan and a small _drift_ type circuit Shaun ---------------------------------------- A Happy New Year to all of you! Yes, I know the year has hardly started yet, however the first MaxAction Event, is not that far away and as you will see the preparations are well advanced to secure a successful start to a New Series of Pro-Max Challenge Events in 2003! All of the Pro-Max Challenge Events will be held at Belmont Park on parallel, not mirrored, autokhana competition areas, with the first event being held on February 2nd, 2003. To avoid clashes with other events, some of the dates have been changed and are falling now on February 2nd, March 9th, April 6th and May 4th of 2003. Early Discount Entry fees are still only $55/event, but a $65 entry will apply after the offer has closed. It is planned to return to the “old and proven concept” of having two sessions, one morning and one afternoon, with less competitors per session, which will minimise waiting time. I am confident, once you have viewed the course designs, you will agree that by changing the position of the garages, it has opened the competition area right up giving us a much wider second turn than before at the same time avoiding the previous high number of cones all in the one area (garage, turn, timing and dividing cones). However to further improve the situation and avoid confusion, turn-entry and garage cones will be marked/colour coded differently. Tested and proven to be very effective during the past Tour de Max event, for timesaving and ease of operation two Staging Lights will be used for the line-up of competitors at the start. Due to more room and better flow during changeovers the changeover times will be reduced as well as giving us more time for competitive driving. There will still be the possibility of taking a passenger. New to the event, now you are also encouraged to register a team of three drivers if you like and after having attracted a single CRX during the last event the first team to enter this time around seems to be Team CRX. Entry Forms and Course Designs are available from http://www.actionalarms.com.au/Motorsport as we speak, but the CAMS approved Supp Regs are awaiting uploading. Please remember you are now also required to print the entry form and produce a signed copy on the day of the event. If you need us to fax an entry form to you please supply your fax number by return email. I hope you will be pleased with the above changes and am looking forward receiving your early entry form on or before January 12th, not only to show your support for the new & improved Pro-Max Challenge formula but also securing that the event series will go ahead as planned. On this point, thanks to all those who have send in the entry forms already! Cheers, Norbert
  19. last night was sh!t for me... i couldnt bust past 15.2, 0.6 off my best..., which is 14.6 and ive gotten that every time ive been down this season (3 times), slower terminal speed too. God knows whats happened to the car after compliance.. I had brand new S03's on there expecting to cut maybe a few tenths off my time as the RE710's had gone hard, but no luck... slippery track? headwind? i dunno.. had a mate down there with his v8 and he was also 0.6 behind his times the last time we went down a few weeks back and he had some head work done to his car. He was also pissed. ODD. ahh well. at least itll blow anything away around a corner Shaun
  20. everyones idea's sound good but... 1> no rice? errr how can anyone CHOOSE what rice is and what isn't, personally id classify all cars at these cars shows RICE if i had too, you barely see one with any sort of street cred etc.. but there are the few though i must admit. 2> racing events/drift its hard to find a venue that will let you cut it up, the last autosalon at belmont almost ruined it for Norbert whom is now holding his Max Action events there, no excessive wheelspin etc and they have scouts there looking out for these things. drift, you need a HUGE area.. none of this powerslide crap. +insurance for the lot which would be a pain. 3> motorvation style event for imports would be unlikely aswell, there wouldnt be the same support from the import guys to do what the _TREVS_ do. To show your support for the import scene, how about entering this year? I have a few more things to pick at but ill leave it. Personally im not a fan of car shows, you only need to go once every few years or so to see the same friggin car except this time it has a pod filter on it or BMW M3 mirror.. whooop deee doo other than that.. sounds good, good luck with it. Shaun
  21. hmmm, tis why i never go up the freeway. I head up rockingham road then across Gibbs/Russell to the freeway. Except this morning a commodore had lost it somehow before Russell Road on Rockingham Road and mashed a poll.. Caused quite a little backup of traffic, we had to Detour through an industrial complex. Came across all the cops on the Freeway though after that, lucky for people whom flash their headlights. I thank thee. Also saw a R33 this morning with a kit and crap, thought nothing of it, afterall.. it is just a 33 .. then to find later on a chick was driving it.. sweet nice clean car too. [** 25 WA] were the plates. Shaun
  22. OIL out the BOV is bad.. that means oil is getting out of the engine.. busted turbo or the rings are gone and the oil is entering the intake track. had this happen to my TX3.. ring lands were foobarred. but its under warranty, so its all good. Shaun
  23. you may find you will have to take ALL the tint off. wednesday i failed because i had sorta dark tint on the rear window and rear quarters but none on the front windows.. unfortunately i had to take the tint off the whole car also had to replace the tie rod bush, a few minutes works got it passed this morning though.. she now rides with [RADIUM] plates :-) Shaun
  24. not really fussed.. but that seams about the best day for me.. sunday ARVO would be great though.. hmm Shaun
  25. gr33dy, is yours the white R33 down at Global? twas down there today getting my plate stamped on, your car looks nice n clean. I then went to the pits and failed rear tint is too dark and the radius rod bush is leaking oil.. which is what a replaced when i busted up the front from an incident a while back but the piece is obviously faulty, it was second hand so i cant complain. a new one goes on tonight, aswell as the tint off tomorrow and all should be cool.. *gulp* Shaun
