  1. soooo... did the japs copy yet another design from another car manufacturer or is it the other way round this time... because both look very similar to one another. down the drags a few months ago and in the pit lane a rx7 s4 and a porsche (whatever the model is thats like the s4, 9xx? ) were next to one another and its good to see the japs have their own unique way of styling things   Shaun
  2. haha settle was just exagerating and making a point that the coppers will pick you for anything they can get you for. my mate had to take his skyline over the pits last week (bald tyres) and he said everything was fine bar the convex/cave mirrors which were on it (c-red hadn't changed them) but still got it licenced? and he told him to come under the car to have a look at the exhaust which had a crack in it but wasnt leaking, so he had to get that welded up. now thats bullshit. Shaun
  3. get permits for everything so the cops cant get you for the obvious items, but if they really want to theyll go over your car and find something minuscule and stupid like a hairline crack in your exhaust or something stupid. Shaun
  4. ohhh if i only knew that when i had to change the diff+gbox oil on my escort.. i was under the car with a 250ml sunscreen bottle squirting it in.. thankgod i have patience Shaun
  5. hmm ive thought of a system like this before, but for unmarked cop cars. The idea was to take down the plate and have the list in your car so if you see one you don't know if it is or not, check it and find out, but of course if it isnt on the list it could be a> one that hasnt been seen before; or b> isnt one it'd be a piece of piss to write a web interface one in perl with password protection in a flat file format. might give it a go tonight Shaun
  6. true, hence the need for padding. although whacking your head into a bar with inch thick padding aint going to do squat to cushin the blow. Shaun
  7. my '32 arrives next week and my main issue with licencing is the full roll cage which it will have in it, id like to keep it for structural reasons and for my own safety this is mainly directed at everyone in Perth as the licencing over here is/could be quite different to that of the other states. A friend of mine went over the pits the other day with his '33 and the guy said you can get a permit for it but it will have to be licenced as a 2 seater, for obvious reasons as the bar goes across the rear seats etc. anyone have any information?? thanks in advance. Shaun
  8. its just Swedish Touring Cars II reskinned.. tisnt much fun, cant wait for Toca Race Driver: V8 Supercars. ive played the demo with just the supra's in it.. and DAMN its good, excellent graphics, physics and car damage.. tyres rip off rims, hatch's/doors get sucked out from wind if theyve been dented etc. also seen a few videos of the game with the V8's in it and it looks absolutely awesome... expected for release in september or so. reskinned v8 to a r32 from V8 challenge, i quickly grew bored of the game and started searching through the directory's. very lame but funny Shaun
  9. *NOD* Shaun
  10. dunno.. thats what Geoff from prestige told me. I saw a mate in Perth tonight and he goes.. " yours cars in ", im like WTF... 24th man. 25th rather, so I dunno. Shaun

  15. also to remember, it has to be mid 92 onwards to import R32's into australia now.. I heard someone saying you can still get the VERY early ones, but not 100% sure on that. Shaun
  16. I am going through the process of importing one now. car cost + 15% import tax (or some crap), + 10% GST on all that. + 2000 or so delivery. + 2800 compliance (r32 in perth) my 8500$ car has made its way to 17k now, but then theres + on road costs + tyres ohh the joys, just gotta wait for the sucker to leave the damn docks over there.. 3 weeks so far.. ARGH! Shaun
  17. I have copies I am willing to distribute for alcoholic beverages  Shaun
  18. JiMb0, but you can change it to top views for both driving in the car and walking.. played it to death on the PS2 but on PC its just not quite the same, I guess I need a PS2->PC controller to get the best out of it. get it thought, tis an awesome game just running around for hours killing people, evading the cops + feds, blowing up helicopters and doing your worst to little grannies walking on the street bitch'n game. Shaun
  19. my bro-law (whom lives with me) has a vinyl cutter (sticker making machine-o), I shall ask him how much he wants per sticker and might work out easier.. dunno. whats the dimensions of the logo exactly?? Shaun
  20. *shakes head*.. you haven't invested in a PS2 yet for GT3... DAMN YOU!!! that was my only motivated to buy the thing, only other game that was worth buying was GTA3 which is now on friggin PC.. GRRRR but thats about it... 700$ for one game.. tis a bit of a rip though. Shaun
