  1. To bring up an old, but helpful thread. My car had been sitting for just under 3 months, the drivers side window went down but it never came back up again. I just pulled the door apart to find the motor was rooted. It was clicking, just no movement. So I do what you do to all electric motors that don't want to work. you hit it, and you hit it HARD! Problem solved. If you've ever owned an old car and had the starter motor not work, you'll know what i mean Shaun
  2. how come you left your keys at home? ALWAYS CARRY THEM WITH YOU or hide them in a bloody good spot!!! We had some .. *cough* locals.. break into our house once and we were fitting a GZE engine into my gf's corolla so we had the key sitting on a kitchen shelf. They worked out this key was for the car so instead of taking just the digital camera's etc they started loading up our whole entertainment system. Luckily they were interrupted and only took of with my speakers and the car broke down 2 km's down the road because we hadn't put all the gearbox link pins in so we were lucky there. One bonus though is they must have thrashed it so hard the supercharger started working, it didnt work when we put the cut in Since then I always have my keys with me no matter what and my spare set stays at my sisters house. Shaun
  3. offtopic, autowholesale which just opened across the road from mitsubishi prestige have a few stagea's and other whacko imports. Shaun
  4. why? so he can blow another box? but yeah, thats gotta suck buying a car then something breaks. I know you test drove it pretty hard and all went fine so id say its your driving style OR it was just its time to go unfortunately. Shaun
  5. my gf owns a terrano (92 turbo manual) and i have thought about a 300ZX V6 engine into it as the aus-spec model already comes with a V6 so it would fit in quite easily id imagine. As for an RB engine, they are quite long and i think that wouuld be the hardest part in getting it to fit. I think the current 2.7T engine would be alot better suited in the terrano than the RB20 because its torque range. you would have to rev the tits off the RB to get it to go anywhere compared to the 2.7. Shaun
  6. does it involve the motor making a metal object on the front of the car disapear? if so, ive done that before on my tx3. Shaun
  7. Not sure on brand but they were at west state tyres. I saw the price and my jaw dropped as theyd be good for cruising tyres. that cheap ( i think they were 170 or so actually but still cheap ) , dont expect anything good. they are probably hard as **** but will last a lifetime. Shaun
  8. how much do you want to spend? ive seen 18's retail for a little over 160 or so. Shaun
  9. hmmm, my recaro's fitted my bride rails puuuurfectly. different model recaros might have different patterns but you'd expect them to be the same. Shaun
  10. what was the reason for the deck, does it shoot CD's at lightspeed at your or something? Shaun
  11. My mates sister claimed two cars through Just Cars in under 3 months (r33 skyline and a civic) and they paid out completely, no fuss. she is why our premiums are high Shaun
  12. You cant import from around 90->mid 92 because the R was sold in australia during those times. Also, the type-M was only from around 92 onwards (Series 2) also wasn't it? with LSD, 4 pots, kit etc. Shaun
  13. PM sent, i was thinking about 200$ for the skirts.. dunno about the front bar, they go for about 500$ i think in stores/online?? Shaun
  14. Not sure if its the same for 33's, but my 32 has a plug under the seats also. It use to plug into the seat belt clipper thingo to say you have your seatbelt on. When my car got complianced it got replaced with some cheap ass DOT approved clippers that dont have this option and now my seatbelt light stays on, but only for 5 seconds or so once the car is started. Shaun
  15. your a F**KING LEGEND!! thanks Shaun
  16. r33impul, i had something similar happen to me. except i got a fine for driving some landcruiser which was owned by the water corporation, i went in there to view the photo and the guy goes 'there you go, its you'. i had a small argument with the guy and he finally got me a pen and paper and i had to write a few sentences saying i have never driven that car before blah blah.. i wonder how many people actually just pay fines without checking on them? letemlaf: hasnt the law changed now so that whomever own's the car is responsible for whom was driving it at the time? you can't just say you have no idea who was driving it anymore or was this still to come into effect? Shaun
  17. I had my car complianced with them around 2 years ago. Danny's a top guy. Shaun
  18. here's some info on the ones they sell. http://www.kartmart.com.au/KM3pocket_bike.htm Ive had a fang around on them and they are so cool, tempted to buy one but im not allowed. Got enough petrol powered toys as it is. Shaun
  19. yeah, the place my girlfriend works at sells them. Kartmart, www.kartmart.com.au 795$, they are rated for 14yo+ the hardcore ones are around 3k US and have everything, suspension, mods and you can squeeze about 15HP or so. check out this www.pocketbikes.com, they have little 8 year old kids doing burnouts on them and everything they MAY be looking at a racing class over here. Shaun
  20. all the marone owners are too scared to own up because they know they own such a disgusting colour Shaun Disclaimer: sorry to all that have that colour but i think it looks wrong on a car, personal preference.
  21. gunmetal grey its not wine red, its marone *RUNS* Shaun
  22. 2 pair = 4 pads If you dont want rotor munchers, i got some Ferrodo 2500's from perth brake parts for 225 on my 32 and fading is non existent, even on a good track day being out there for 45mins or so. If you get too good a pad it isnt going to work effectively on the street as your not braking all the time to get the heat into them. I use to have some Pagid's in my car before the Feroddo's and this was the case most of the time. Remember to keep your fluid fresh too. Shaun
  23. hmmm 200$.. i wonder what freight is like from brisvegas-> perth because i want! Shaun
  24. damn, i need to look at mine. its getting ~410km's per ~54L fillup. Shaun
  25. I took 2 rims there also a few weeks back, 1 with 2 large chunks missing and they came back perfect and the other with a slight flatspot on it. he's an arrogant prick on the phone but his work is awesome. Shaun
