  1. got pics paul? the car, not you. Shaun
  2. niz, do you mean stamp duty when you BUY the car? as the stamp duty component of registration for a year is around 6%. the rest is insurance (~50%), licence fee (~25%) and the rest is GST, account fee. Shaun
  3. a bit off topic.. but yeah we have cheap rego too i think as compared to the rest of the country. 430 odd per year for the skyline (r32) CHEAP personalised plates too. and i think i read somewhere we also have the best road system.. SUCKERS!! Shaun
  4. For some reason I always remember reading in the learning books for my licence it stated that 40-45km/h over is a 6 pointer, 45+ is a loss of licence? Ive also had the coppers at my door for a mutlinova infringement. I completely shat myself because I didnt know I went through one, or at what speed. But it turned out that i hadnt transferred my personalised plates over properly or something stupid.. They had showed up because those plates were illegally on that car, but it all got sorted out and luckily it only turned out to be a 1pointer Shaun
  5. cool, no problems. If this didnt happen I was going to buy a new go-kart. Much cheaper to run and maintain. Shaun
  6. From what everyone says the turbo's can go kaput above that boost but ive yet to try it I run mine at 0.86bar with my stock cooler, tried it at 0.93 bar one night on the dyno and only got 4HP more over 0.86 so it wasnt worth running any more boost on the stocker turbo as it probably gets inefficient around there. Shaun
  7. Yer mine has jumped to 0.76 bar (11 psi or so) with the 3" exhaust on there. It's all good Shaun
  8. Hey Petar, my offer still stands. I'm not quite sure how you worked out my car was worth around 11k as you'll find quite a few examples on these forums worth way more than that, but anyway. Its a great car, its been looked after all its life here in Australia (2 years). The small incident I did have with a kerb has been fixed as it was just a bent coilover and control arm, I put a whole other set of coilovers on the car. The rest are only cosmetic (rim and sideskirt) which I can fix quite easily. Its got every mod under the sun except a front mount and turbo and its setup beautifully for race/drift as its a VERY stiff car with the full cage and suspension setup. At least you'll have a car to drive around in, not one sitting in the garage doing squat. Just thought id put myself out there again incase you change your mind Shaun
  9. been driving the 4wd to go away for the weekend.. we were just about to hit the freeway when the back wheel's studs sheered off, the back end grazed along the road and the wheel overtook us, hit a tree and flew about 5-10meters into the air. we looked out the sunroof to see a wheel coming down towards us. It just missed the car door bounced again and landed in front of the car on the road. Thankgod this didnt happen when we were out in wh00p wh00p 4wd'ing. also had my intercooler pipes burst loose when i was under full load in the 32.. scared the shit out of me for a minute or two Shaun
  10. 6'4 and I have a set of recaro's in there. I can't sit up straight the way i want to so i have to slope it back a bit and wearing a helmet is even worse. Plus i have a full cage in there so people don't fit in there very nicely, but you get use to it Shaun
  11. macma, what sort of price are you looking at spending on a 32?? ive been contemplating selling mine lately as ill be going to japan soon. Shaun
  12. mirkz.. ergh.. mine were hard as shit, they were only good for drifting and hacking it up. Shaun
  13. hey mark, you figured out what coilovers you had on the front and if theyre the same as 32's?? i bought another set of JIC's.. so i have a spare whole set, except one on the front is missing gas. I think the seal is munted. Shaun
  14. best ive used in the wet are Bridgestone S03's.. bloody amazing and UniRoyal RTT-2.. which are pretty damn good in the wet also. kuhmo supra's.. SHIT! Shaun
  15. 6000rpm / 60 seconds = 100 revs per second. you have a 2.5L engine you reckon your air aircon could pump out that much cold air, per second? Shaun
  16. i dont believe they are. its all about when/where your driving and WHAT your doing to grab their attention. Shaun
  17. was going the main road next to Garden City and was coming up to a T intersection, we had right of way as we were on top of the T. A bus pulled out of the bottom of the T turning right and stopped in the median strip. All of us could go through ok except an old 92 year old french guy follow the bus through the stop sign and then stopped right in front of me, i slammed into the back of his VL hardly leaving a dent but my tx3 front was a bit dented. he got out of his car crapping on saying i was speeding etc. The car next to me was an off duty copper and the car behind her was a nurse. There wasnt any problems getting my car fixed thats for sure. Ive also crashed a heap of bush bashers while going stupid speeds around the farm trying to swipe tree's while sideways. Stuff just goes wrong, you hit holes, stumps, people grab the wheel and the car just goes where you don't want it. A mate was driving one of the cars, a 120Y and he hit some soft sand sideways causing the car to roll over and back on its wheels and he just kept on going Shaun
  18. Same, i had a similar problem with my old tx3, the boost gauge was going up but it didnt have any power.. the friggin cat collapsed, got that replaced and she was back up and running fine again. Shaun
  19. there's WRX ETA on a lancer GSR (could be an evo *shrug*) over here in WA... and it does eat WRX's quite easily Shaun
  20. wasnt shaun 'GOT BOOST' selling his car a few months back ?? dunno if it still is, R32 GTS-t with an RB26... its got the style and power! Shaun
  21. good cars... my brother in laws bought 2 brand new in 97, nice to drive. both are getting turbo conversions at the moment Shaun
  22. moo: ive had two sets of JIC's on my car. early 90's models and late 90's model. they are pretty stiff for normal street driving but you get use to them. Shaun
  23. I dont think any workshop in Australia has SEVS for them. According to the SEVS page the only mitsubishi's able to be imported are the Delica van. http://raws.dotars.gov.au/ Shaun
  24. i would classify a 'rice burner' as a car that can kick a rice boys ass! Shaun
  25. Whats so light about 6 points, $350 fine.. thats the normal fine for that speed. Although I thought anything over 45 was instant loss of licence. Going to have to look that one up I think. Shaun
