  1. I know a place that will respray your car (any colour) including door jams and boot for $1500. This includes sanding down your old paint (not to metal), filling dints, primer, base coat and clear. But, you certainly get what you pay for. From memory, paint is Motospray (or worse). Expect a few runs, dust marks, etc.. But overall, it isn't that bad. If you do a cheap car like a Silvia in say, white, it will look quite good. This is in the Western Suburbs though.
  2. Hi. I am contemplating buying an R33 RB25DET PowerFC for use on a R33. For the time being, the PowerFC will be tuned to run an RB25DET with stock turbo. However in the near future, I plan to put in an RB30DET running an R32 RB25DE head without VVT. Will the R33 PowerFC still run this fine (not having VVT)? I will use all R33 RB25DET sensors. Also, what kind of injectors does the RB25DE (R32) head use? Are they top feed or side feed? Thanks in advance!
  3. I had an manual ECU in my auto Silvia. It didn't communicate with the auto computer at all. On slow acceleration gearchanges from 1st to 2nd where quite harsh and jerky, as were all gearchanges on releasing the throttle. I don't see why it would be different in your case. The power FC won't cut timing on gearchanges and this will eventually lead to a jerky and rough gearbox. The gearbox oil will heat up, causing deterioration of the internal components (friction bands? clutch plates?). In my case, the Silvia is 15 years old, so I felt it straight away. Your gearbox is still young (and stronger I believe), however it won't be long till you feel the same rough gearchanges. Do you have a transmission oil cooler?
  4. There may be a possibility. You need a decent PAL to NTSC signal convertor. These cost around $200 for one that will do the job. You will also need a tv tuner with australian frequencies. Finally, you will need someone who is great with electronics and a lot of time on their hands. Have a good read of this article on Planet Soarer and explore the links.   8. Hi. After an AUTO R34 Steering Wheel. Must have the control to change gears up and down. If possible, would prefer non airbag and in good condition.
  9. Aren't those spacers very dangerous? The studs could break off because of shear stress due to the wheel no longer being supported by the centre spigot.

  11. I'm wondering if it is possible to do the opposite. Put Series II headlights on a Series I, provided that bonnet is changed, maybe even the front bar. Not a fan of the Series I lights.

  13. I'm running them on the front of my S13, haven't had a problem yet. I don't really do any spirited driving, so can't comment on their performance.
  14. Wow! That R33 is very low. What suspension are you running? Do you have any problems turning the front wheels full-lock with the car that low?
  15. Do the rims look flush with the guards? Or are they tucked in a bit? Always wondered what R34 GTR rims would look like on R33 GTS-T.

  20. Only 93 ron? Do you guys have Premium over there, such as 95RON at least? So are you just going to throw the pistons and rods in the engine and leave the remaining internals as they are? Or, do you need to do other things, such as: Bore and Hone the Block, Balance, Straighten Crank, etc... Sorry, I'm not really in the know with respect the engine internals. Was just wondering, if it is as simple as just installing new pistons and rods. Was always under the impression that everything has to be checked for perfect clearances etc.. Thanks.
