Welcome to SAU, there are many modifactions out there for skylines, but unfortunatly there are not many for the R30 that are off the shelf style mods. What most people on here would tell you to do is to drop a RB20/25/30det in her as there are many many many many mods that can be done with these engines. If you are on a budget then you can really only do exhaust, cams, headwork, carby/injecters (I dont know what engine is in an R30?) but this is all standard NA tuning. I would recommend that you search the NA tuning section of the forums this will help you LOTS with future mods. Cheers Chris
  4. You can have a high-mount turbo, pods are ok if they are secured (but thats debateable) intercoolers are ok if the front bar is not cut too much and they will still get you for being too low. But when changing to QLD regestration you will need to have a safety certificate so it will need to be roadworthy to pass that.
  5. When I looked into it I was looking $3000 for a gearbox with warranty, about $1000 for clutch and master and slave cylinders and then about $1000 for all the extra bits including labour. That was 18 months ago. That was a fair price at the time.
  6. I looked into it and priced up everything, I found it was going to cost about $4000 to $5000 depending on the clutch you wanted to get. So I decided to keep the auto. You will need the following; Gearbox Gearbox crossmember Tailshaft pedal assembley clutch master cylinder clutch slave cylinder clutch flywheel bell housing center console dash cluster computer some fluid lines manual spigot bush And there are a few things I am sure I have missed. Really in the long run it would be best to keep it an Auto and maybe get the auto box rebuilt and it will be lots tougher. just a thought. Chris

  11. I am looking to upgrade my exhaust very soon and an tossing up weather to get a Jap built exhaust or a custom exhaust from an exhaust shop. I have been looking at a Trust Power Extreme II Exhaust exhaust and getting a split dump and hiflow cat, which will come to around $2000 installed (stainless) or a custom exhaust which will cost about $1600 in mild steel. There are a few things I would like to know, Firstly, Will the Trust Power Extreme II Exhaust fit neatly on the R33 sedans and still stick out the back. Secondly, it it worth the money to buy the exhaust and get it installed or to just get a custom exhust fitted. and yes I did a search before I asked Cheers Chris
  12. You should notice a little more response in turbo spool, and a little more power. I say that most people who have split dump pipes would say that it is worth spending the extra cash. As for sound it will change the note a little bit as the exhaust is less restrictive, it should make it deeper if anything.

  19. Freakin MMO RPGs, they are so addictive for certain people who are socially inept, they start to think that what they are playing is reality. This is FACT. I have friends who are lost causes and wont go out, always late for work, always tired and never happy unless they are playing WoW or other MMO RPG style games. I have heard of many many people meeting over these games and there have been a few cases of people actually getting married. Now people who play these game are not really nerds, as a nerd are basiclly humans who are very geeky and smart, where most of the people who play these games are people who have no lives outside of a computer game and eventually become useless to society as a whole. end rant!
  20. I am in the cool group I own a skyline Women in general are hard to read as there are so many things going on in their minds, like "does there butt look big in her dress" or "she has the same shoes as me" and "she dances like a s**t". You see women are usually thinking about either about themselves or comparing themselves to other women, once you know this fellas it is easier to understand the female mind. (jks) Also John I didn't see you waring a flanno on saturday night, nor dd I see you snogging your sister or brother so I dont think your a bogan. Chris PS. Lee any of those chicks are fine, which one do I get???

  24. When bleeding brakes it is best to use a break bleeding tool. This is a like a vacuum that attaches to the bleeding nipple and sucks through the old fluid whilst remembering to top up the resivure to allow new fluid to flow. What this does is not allow the breaks master cylinder piston to push past its "normal" working area, so this will keep the master cylinder free from potential damage from the lip of the "normal" working area.
  25. That sounds like a great idea MountainRunner. I would be up for that.
