  1. Test the voltage across the battery terminals with a multimeter it should be around the 13.3v mark if it's not then its most likely stuffed. Put the new alternator in and start the car, check the voltage again across the terminals, if it goes over 14.5v then its over charging. Other then that there is not much else that it could do to wreck the battery. I just think your old battery has had it.
  2. Allstar at Brendale. Talk to Richard.
  3. You should take the Wivenhoe-Summerset Rd North from the bottom of Mt Glorious, then onto the Esk-Kilcoy Rd through Summerset to Kilcoy. Its a much scenic drive and more curves. Plus there are heaps of good places for pictures along Summerset Dam.
  4. Mr Wolfman are you Boz's mate that lives at Kangaroo Point?
  5. You do realise you wont be able to drive it on the road?
  6. First off, what vehicle is it? as I am sure you could search for where the chassis number is stamped. Secondly with the chassis number you can go to the department of transport and check if the car has been registered. Also if you can do a revs check on the VIN too.
  7. Sorry guys got called into work, have a great day.
  8. a little bit of oil in the cooler is ok, some people flush them with water and then use like a brake clean or degreaser in water to flush it, I just drained it and let it sit for a few days so it could drain out, as I didn't want water in my intercooler. Hicas lock bar is quite east to install on an R33 as you only need to unplug the rear steering rack, unlike the R32 or Silvia where it was hydraulic. But if you are looking at getting a few things done suspension wise then it wouldn't be too much to have it installed as they would need to remove the old steering rack anyways. As for brands and people to do the suspension work, talk to fulcrum at Moorooka, they have done lots of R33s.
  9. When buying a "catch can" make sure it has baffles in it as some are sold with nothing inside to "catch" the oil, and therefore you would be better leaving it "stock" as it would do nearly the same thing. Catch cans being legal or not is basically up to the police officers discretion. So if are worried about it make sure it is plumbed back to the intake, therefore you can dispute the fact it is only inline with the original plumbing and therefore it is actually reducing pollution as it is catching the oil instead of burning it. Also you could put it behind the front bumper, or make one to hide behind the stock air intake, there are a few options.
  10. Ebay mate, I got a new S13 alloy radiator off ebay for under $200 delivered.
  11. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDUBEKB1lJ0 remember the 4 door fun Bunta.
  12. I have an s13 and it has rust around the sunroof and is leaking. Where in Brisbane is good to take it to to get it fixed. Cheers Chris
  13. I am chasing 300 rwhp and I have an RB20 with a 2860rs turbo, I have a nistune ecu, 660cc injectors, and a z32 afm to put in it. Best thing about nistune is it is still a factory ecu and has cold start built in so it will save you in tuning.
  14. Camo would be no worse then my paint for being pulled over. I am still yet to be pulled over in it. Oh wait the car has to actually run to be on the road
  15. Mine was missing for ages, I got it on the dyno and checked the AFR, it was extremely low. The mechanic replaced the fuel pump and bingo AFR went up to 14/15 and miss went away. Check out the fuel pump.
  16. I have an RB20DET in my S13. I have an A31 ECU in my silvia, I have just been given a Nistune R32gtst ECU, The question is will the R32 ecu work in a car that has been setup with an A31 ecu? I have read mixed things and I was hoping one of you boffins on here might know? Cheers Chris
  17. The pink Torana did a 12.2, I dont see it on your lists.... Plus its tires are 12 years old. With good rubber it should do very low 11's or maybe a high 10.
