I know that ECUs have been discussed many times on this forum but I am still unsure what the best option is for an Auto. I have been told that Power FC is not compatible with Autos and my best bet would be to go with a piggyback ECU system rather then a stand alone ECU. I was wondering if anyone could post some brands and models of ECUs that are compatible with Autos. Thanks Chris

I recently crashed my line a few weeks ago ran up the ass of a commodore, it still handles sweet. So take it for a test drive and see if it steers straight, look for un-even tyre wear and look to see if the bumper has been screwed in using the origional holes in the front end. Check the radiator and air-con condensor and the intercooler. As for the smoke, get it to running temp and give it a few revscheck for smoke then, may i ask how much they are asking for the car? Sorry i have no idea what the numbers mean but I hope some of this helps. cheers Chris

Thanks for the advise guys. The Insurance company didn't want a bar of putting on a new bar. The bastards made the smash repair bloke send it off to get it fixed. But they did a good job, looks like new. Unfortunatly the assessor had to give it a final inspection and therefore I couldn't get it modded cause that would be classed as a "modifaction" to the car. I am very pissed off at Just Car at the moment cause they went the cheapest way out. Cheers Chris

Thanks Ryan, Its all getting fixed under insurance. But I am lookin into my options, what would be faster and give a better finish. I dont car how much it costs to get fixed, cause the premium will still be the same. Cheers Chris

I feel for you Patrick..I run up the ass of a Commodore 2 weeks ago. The line is in getting fixed now, I took mine to Matts Custom Paint Shop at Lawnton, I should get it back either tomorrow or Monday. I pranged my skyline, I run up the ass of a VT Commodore, and I was wondering if anyone knows a place on the northside of Brisbane that could give me a quote on fixing the skyline. I will need a new bumper, bonnet and all bracing, clips ect.. Plus paint. If anyone has any recommendations who to take it to, could they please let me know, also if anyone knows any place not to take it to, that would be great to. Thanks in Advance Chris

Thanks heaps guys, I was gonna change it to a manual next year, but i might do that before I change the ECU. Can I change the transmission to a manual easily? Is the tailshaft the same length in a manual? Thanks for the advice Chris

I have recently purchased an R33 gtst 4 Door, and I am looking into installing an aftermarket ECU. I have about $1500 to spend and my car setup in a few weeks will be; 3" exhaust from turbo back with "hi flow" cat front mount intercooler POD filter appart from that it is stock and unfortunatly it is an auto I am just after some models of different ECUs and approx what price including installation?
