  1. Hi guys and gals. I am chasing a set of R32 gts-t 5 Bolt half shafts in good condition as my CV joints have gone. I am in Brisbane. Let me know if you have some and how much you want for them. Cheers Chris
  2. I am chasing a standard R32 Tacho for my RB20 powered S13. I am also chasing a windscreen wiper amplifire to suit an S13. I live on Brisbane's North so please PM me if you have either. Cheers Chris
  3. Cheers guys, the engine is in an S13 Silvia so a 25 conversion is not really an option so I will be stuck with the RB20det. I was thinking about putting in the stop leak but I thought if I want to do it properly I would get it done right and I dont really want the stuff going through the block if I am going to keep the block, as I have heard of it blocking up water jackets. I sort of knew the outcome but just wanted to hear it confirmed. I think I will give it a go changing it, who knows if it goes pare shaped its only $600 for a replacement engine. Thanks again guys. Chris
  4. Well the other day i was driving back from a friends house and a water hose blew, you know the one under the inlet manifold. So I finally got around to replacing the water hose started great. So we let it run for a few minutes to allow the thermostat to open so we could bleed the air from the system, so after a few mins few mins white smoke bellowed out from the exhaust. Not what I wanted to see since i only had the car for about 8 weeks. After checking compression of all 6 cylinders (each one was 150psi) and no water in the oil, we come to the conclusion that the turbo was cooked. So we ripped it out and sure enough we are sure that the oil seal is gone in it as it is dry on the exhaust side but very very oily on the dump pipe side. So I managed to get my hands on a Disco Potato from a friend who had recently upgraded his engine to a neo, and I installed it. Well now it continues to blow the same white smoke and talking to a mechanic friend he seems to think that is looks like a coolant smoke and not an oil smoke. So my question is what exactly could the problem be as the compression and the oil are good. Thanks in advance guys. Chris
  5. Hi guys and gals. I am after an RB20det throttle body. Cheers Chris
  6. Thanks for the PM's guys but I just bought one. Cheers Chris
  7. I am chasing a starter motor for an R33 gtst. I am in Brisbane. Cheers Chris
  8. Standard injectors are only good for about 200 to 220KW from memory, and fuel pump would need to be upgraded too. Thats over $1000 in itself. Damn how could I forget that.
  9. Well i have an auto R33 and it will beat most stock Aussie V8's up to VT and AU. An R34 has the NEO engine which has a few more HP then the older RB25 engines. The Auto box is a little better also. But if you want to keep up with the latest model V8's and turbo 6's the you would need to do many mods to get around 260KWs at the wheels. Mods Needed and approx cost Intercooler and installation - $700 (non jap brand more for HKS ect..) Induction mods - $100 for panel filter or POD ECU - Emanage Ultimate - $2000 for unit, installation and tuning New turbo - just asy $1500 to $2000 for supply and installation (get this installed before the ECU and only pay for 1 tuning session) Boost controller - $600 supplied and installed for an electronic boost controller There are a few things I am sure that I have forgotten but you can see that paying retail you will be up for thousands, and this is not even touched the brakes or suspension.
  10. Where do you live and I will pick it up if it is still available Cheers Chris
  11. I have had 1 coil pack fail, It ran rough but it still ran. I would check all the wiring to the ignitor and all the fuses. Next chech if it has spark at all, pull the spark plug out of cyl 1 and crank the engine over while earthing the tip of the plug onto the engine, check if there is spark. If there is then check fuel, if not then check more wires, maybe check the plug on the ECU is in properly. Appart from that some others on here might have an Idea. Good luck. Chris
