  1. I had a similar problem with my car, it was getting boost cut. I took my car to Allstar Tuning at Geebung. Richard is good with RB engines and he has all the tools needed to test the standard ECU, as well as a dyno to test it on. Alot of people from SAU take there cars to him. Otherwise you have Mercury Motorsport at Windsor, GT AUTO at windsor are good too. Theres just a few dude.
  2. We should wait for a VERY cold day, just to see them struggle to keep warm I wonder if they are good at polishing.....
  3. I am going to a skid pan day and I really want it to stay in second as it keeps kicking back to first. I read a while ago that tuners would do something to lock it in second but for the life of me I forget what it was.

  5. I remember reading a while ago that there was a way to lock the R33 auto trans into 2nd gear, without it kicking back into first. I cant seem to find the page, could anyone remember what needs to be done to lock it in second? Thanks Chris

  15. hi all, I am having a problem with my series 1 R33 GTST. When I drive the car and rev the car slowly it wont missfire but when I put the foot down it will misfire at 4000 rpm. So far I have changed the Spark plugs and I got my hand on a working set of coil packs so I swapped them, and now it is still doing the same thing. What I am asking is have people had a similar problem and what did they do to fix it? Could the ignitor couse this problem, could it be fuel pump considering that the continues along after the 4000 rpm mark? I would normally take it to my Mechanic but I have a track day on Thursday and I cant fit it in by then, so any advice would be appreciated. Cheers Chris

  17. Find out what model it is then look it up on the internet. I have a GFB one and it was a piece of piss to install, as it had arrows pointing torwards the actuator. I would reccomend not running any more then 10psi as causes problems with boost spike and even maybe kill your turbo. turn it 1/4 turn at a time, making sure that you take your car for a drive inbetween turns as that will allow you to see actually how much boost is running. I am unsure if it matters what way the flow goes through the boost controllor, but mine does have an arrow in it that in the instructions it said point towards the actuator, so I am guessing that it would be best to check this with the model of controllor you have. Cheers Chris
  18. I had the same problem happen. I installed my stereo using the existing "ground" wire from the original head deck. This then blew the dash lights and rear tail lights. The fuse was actually in the boot for this circuit. Easy fixed just run a new proper ground wire.
  19. Spotted an R33 4door in Wayne Parks mechanical repairs at Milton. I
  20. Thanks all, I had a good night last night, never been so drunk in my life. So today I took it easy. Thanks again. Chris
  21. Auto Trans rebuilds are too expensive, its LOTS cheaper to purchase a 2nd hand one as they are being sold for a couple of hundred bucks. I picked up a second hand one for 2 cartons of beer that I saw come off a car and the only reason it was changed was for a manual conversion. I will be slowly upgrading the trans to have a manual shift kit, hi-stall and new bands ect.... So that when mine goes bang, it will be easy to swap over. But for now I have a bigger trans cooler and I also service it every 10k, so I am not expecting it to break any time soon. Chris
