they can, they do and they will if there is sufficient evidence and information i worked at an ISP a few years ago and i came across at least 3 or 4 "ebay scam" style requests per month from police relating to offences of similar nature (this was in 2005 ish)

no idea on the background on all of this, but this all comes down to what can and cant be proved, with or without evidence. but if the scams have in fact been committed then its fairly simple. contact local police report the crime, provide evidence, information, reciepts or some form of proof of purchase (or evidence that reflects a scam) police will investigate, collect evidence if substantial evidence exists then police raise search warrant to internet provider internet provider provides subscriber details to police police conduct investigation with subscriber information and investigate futher that is, assuming you dont know who the person is obviously its easier if you have identity information

$800!!!!! is there any other way to feed input to the VIPEC using the factory knock sensors? cant see why it doesn't use them if they exist on the car? i am not paying $800 for knock sensor input

knock over 60 triggers the engine check light with the PFC so apexi figured higher than 60 is something to be worried about

in case this helps others, Hey mate thanks so much for all the guides you provide they are invaluable. i am trying to figure out why the second hand pfc i have is getting stuck on the apexi splash screen. the ecu says FC1 r33 inside the shell and PFC rb26 9811-0011 on the outside of the shell. Does this ECU need the FCC NT hand controller? the one i was sent is FCC3 010-00722 are there any other reasons it would freeze on the apexi logo if these are indeed compatible. regards yes you need either FCC NT or FCC4 if you goto nengun.com you can buy the EL hand controller brand new as it works on all PFC versions (it's FCC4) FCC2/FCC3 are hard set for the newer PFC's that is, PFCs with RB26XXXXXX as the serial are older style PFCS and PFCS with serial ECR33-XXXXXX (or BCNR33-XXXXX) are newer style PFCs same functionality, same features, different firmware. the PFCS that are RB26XXXXXX were sold seperately with hand controller where as PFCs with BCNR33-XXXXXX (for example) were sold as PFC and hand controller bundle basically apexi made original PFCS to suit the engine then the "newer style" were sold to suit CHASSIS instead of engine code so PFC RB26-XXXXXXX (old, needs FCC NT or FCC4) to PFC BNR34-XXXXXXXX (new, needs FCC3 or FCC4)

Covered in the Pfc FAQ. Cars can knock differently on road vs on dyno as it uses different load cells. The Pfc FAQ will show you how to troubleshoot this and to use the temp IGN adjust to confirm and fix the issue

so all my digital inputs on my ecu are around the wrong way (selectable in the ECU) kinda scared to fiddle ie speed is wired to air con request, start signal wired to GP input what the?? i reckon this vipec was pulled from an evo 9 as it has a lot of VVT stuff turned on
