not a great deal in the end on the old falcons they had a dedicated cop cluster that was used so it had digital speed readout and peak speed save / recall setting etc nothing "important" and it's not a "cop chip" tune either but they had to swap it out when they sold it as a normal car ie a pain in the ass, but back in the old days these days its just a toggle setting you can turn police mode on and off on any ba cluster via the ODB port in fact, you can change the whole car, including remapping via ODB port on the BA when you enable police mode the cluster simply shows digital speed in km/h (and speedo dial) and has a top score / speed recall feature normal BA cluster has like fuel economy on avg fuel etc this is all disabled in the police mode to show you digital speed read out (and speedo dial) theres also some other trick to make all the lights go off in the car like the interior ones again, nothing special

got a ODB cable for my ba falcon some of the guys on the forums have worked out how to play around with the clusters police mode enabled on my ba cluster (not really that exciting) and no signs of any errors or cluster swaps which is a bonus, looks like the 100km on my cluster is legit

isnt it funny that someone can hack your account from another country instantly but yet a bank transfer between banks takes 4 to 5 days through paypal and yet they charge fee's through the ass if they fee's are so high from paypal, it should be instant xfer they're all connected on the same network ffs

my ba roadworthy i got pinged for - tyres (3 were toast, so replaced all 4) - steering wheel (the ba has a common issue where the steering wheel basically goes all crumbly and the mould falls apart - looks like a dog chewed it) - front rotors/pads (fair enough) that was it. all 4 rims had a few existing dints, chips etc on them and as long as they had good rubber on them it was fine nothing else picked up

agree facebook is not twitter if i wanted to read twits, i would join twitter and read them in other news didnt bother replacing projector (our dell one died) not worth the $ and stuffing around got a 50" installed on the wall for 600 so pretty reasonable a projector would have cost me about 1200 ish is only a small 3x3m room so 50" is actually pretty good size for the area

or at least if you cant find a workshop that covers warranty at least you will know up front that its not covered so if and when something goes bang you are aware of where you stand etc ntohing worse than a nice build failing at start up, first run in or early KM stages only for the owner to be told sorry not covered its your oil contimination or something etc etc get as much info on what is covered and what isnt

whatever you do pick a workshop that provides an agreed warranty for the engine build outlines the cost of the job and doesnt give you a surprise 2k extra bill at the end and an agreed end date instead of "yeah soon" each month

on my BA fixed - drivers door central locking (new sprocket for mechanism) - remote tailgate open (new solenoid) - cup holders (replacement item) - ciggy lighter din pocket (replacement item) - rear air con vents (replacement item) - rear boot jack area cover (replacement item) - auto gearbox surround plasic (replacement item) - dash panel triangle blank (replacement item) all for $75 the central locking sprocket was $25 new very happy now if only i can find an mp3 hack for the std icc
