  1. need for speed pc cd-rom on 28.8k head to head dialup

  4. As a consumer you are entitled to take it back........... Not fit for purpose Product not as promised Go back and ask them
  5. From what I undrestood the air temp sensor is used by the ecuto back out timing when the intake temp is excessive They use it to back out timing and not to add timing so heat soak on the sensor isn't a massive issue It's a safety feature to protect against excessive intake temp / damaged intercooler / unlimited boost scramble
  6. The right sized single could certainly come on earlier than twins because you have 6cyls driving one medium exhaust exhaust wheel. On twins you effectively cut the engine in half to drive two smallish to medium exhaust wheels, this is what drives the lag profile. Also before you go and buy random parts talk to a workshop in person and give them the problem statement. This might save you a few $k in parts only to find it does nothing to shift the boost profile where you expect it, ie I think you expect a 600rpm+ shift in boost profile from those parts, I'm not convinced they would get anywhere near that amount of change in response.
  7. average power is what makes the car quick don't forget your effectively running 1.3L inline 3 per turbocharger looking at the specs, assuming im reading it right the -5's are rated around 305hp each (average) front is 0.60 and rear is 0.64 i think std BNR34 is 0.48 and 0.53 a/r
  8. suggest going to another workshop for some advice it could be something simple and obvious thats been missed or it could in fact be the turbocharger setup
  9. as a comparison; prev setup 3850rpm 135kw current setup 3850rpm 80kw racepace comparison 3850rpm 180kw but you can't compare std displacement vs "built motor" it could have anything in there but there is merit in picking the right turbocharger combination as shown on the dyno plots
  10. ask them what they mean by "none of the guages" the dash cluster is driven by seperate sensors, ie speedo signal comes from gearbox
  11. i think most have covered it intercooler wont change lag profile 1) displacement will change lag profile (stroker kit) 2) vvt kit will change lag profile (VCT or HKS kit) 3) tune tune tune (more timing in boost build) 4) cams, cam gear adjustment 5) explore exhaust manifold setup / split pulse etc - anything to get the turbocharger exhaust wheel moving quicker 6) downgrade the turbochargers to smaller exhaust wheel or different turbocharger profile obviously they range form cheap, to outright mega expensive
  12. Double check / triple check before you wire anything in
  13. from memory (long time ago) you used the boost control kit loom for power for the map sensors (use a different ground) and the signal from the map sensors was spliced on the AFM inputs on the ECU. double check the documentation but i think thats how it was setup
  14. whatever is wrong is likely to be pretty obvious/basic given the lag descrepancy id suggest looking at your base timing, check the cams and cam gear adjustments and also check and see if VCT is working as youve gone through an engine build and turbocharger change a lot has been fiddled around with to keep it basic as to what to check from memory stuff like this is caused by the cam gears being off by a whole tooth or an entire degree offset incorrectly something like that might explain the mega lag
  15. yeah it wont be cheap per seat, given materials and labour but worth it for something as integral/key as the main seats. glenn is the guy in the back, he's pretty good too =) he fixed up my inner door trim where the leather had shrunk
  16. can help if u want an evo 8, pm me if it goes ahead
  17. surely any mechanic is fine? lookup mechanics in the local area as long as they are VACC it should be fine, cant see any issues you can always get another opinion or review
  18. what ever happened to twin 2530s or 2510s or the infamous 2540s ye olde
