  1. lovin the new amp
  2. if its tuned properly and you dont flog it consistently you will get better economy yes
  3. yeah any workshop that can do a std vl commodore can do the rb25 no worries you could even buy your own consult calbe and take it and show them it plugged in if they are anal about "no computer access" but at the end of the day its a std piston engine, change the oil, check the basics, clean this, top up that blah blah its not like an rb25 has super cool special liquid unobtanium or alien spacecraft rods
  4. picked up a new reciever for home pioneer vsx520-k cheap and works well, v nice and auto volume control is tops
  5. if you dont want any more power just leave it as is and keep going no need to replace what isnt dead ive got the stock turbo on my gtst i got it with 58,000 on the clock and its now got 236,000 its had 12psi since around 89,000 and still hooks up well so they are reliable if treated well and serviced
  6. auto N/A? it will be horrible either buy a manual GTST or dont bother imho skylines i reckon ordinary in N/A or auto or both
  7. when driving in any gear and you floor it the guage should move to around +3 on the stock guage this is around 350mmhg under 4500rpm and then to around +5 after 4500rpm
  8. the instructions tell you in the powerfc faq in my sig
  9. UP to display maximum values DOWN to hide maximum values RIGHT to clear maxiumum values
  10. a squared equals b squared plus c squared
  11. the only thing that causes unlimited boost is the actuator not opening this occurs if the actuator has no boost signal ie the vac line is blocked, leads no where or has no manifold pressure signal a broken BOV, a blocked BOV or a faulty BOV has no capacity to cause unlimited boost
  12. hmm maybe i swear ive seen 5 spd evo 8s my bad
  13. $550+ for changing your std afm's to non-oem non-legit nismo afm's sounds steep to me id prefer to sell the stock ones and buy nismo afm's at least you know they are new and guranateed to work from nismo
  14. its basically the same thing the nismo is z32 hotwire inside 65mm shell the z32 is 80mm z32 airflow meter so more or less the same but in a twin setup the twin nismos will give you more resolution in low load area as the snout is smaller
  15. you dont have to go the MR the main differences are price mr badging titanium exhaust wheel ecu tune 6 speed probably other carbon shit depending on price diff between MR and non MR i found non MR 6 speeds in evo 8 as well
  16. from memory its designed to leak at idle its a design feature, not a problem the bov's main function is to slam open when pressure spikes it's ass off in the pipework, ie sub 40psi+ like you said i cant see how it leaking at idle (as intended) would cause a problem whats the issue you are trying to resolve
  17. good choice you should have lots of change left over
  18. no idea but when you find it let us know bit torrent only has the short 15mb version which is the supplment manual the real workshop manual should be a few hundred+ pages the r33 workshop manual is 160mb for reference
  19. or do it all yourself - download the service maunal and it tells you what to do at each km interval then get yourself the consult calbe which is about $100 and you can service it and do your diag from the onboard computer thats why most workshops wont touch it, cos of the computer, they have no access to it
  20. its just a nissan piston engine any workshop can do it basically i had my 33 going to nissan at the start cos it was on lease no issues with nissan doing it, and at least they would check what to do in the service book instead of guessing not saying to take yours to nissan, but look around even places like your local mechanic should be fine to do basic oil changes and check ups
  21. the std item flows more at idle vs n1 if you sit in traffic a lot you might see the temps rise a bit
  22. serious continuity error in the prologue to fnf2 where brian first gets the "34 gtr" in the whole prologue the 34 doesnt have the MFD display
  23. 1.8mb/s on a public torrent, gotta love cable can download a movie quicker than i can watch it
  24. where do you live? it cant be that hard to sort some of that out it might involve returnin the car to stock to eliminate annoyances what mods does the car have and is it now running rb25det neo (or non-neo)
  25. yep thats the one i got i got mine from a 180sx when i fried my rb25 sensor straight fit and works
