LOL couldn't find that small child by the time I got back to my car in the morning so it must be intercooler piping I thought. And it was! The pipe popped out from the silicon hose just before the throttle body. Don't understand why it happend but it wasn't as serious as I thought so Im happy. Thanks heaps fellows. You guys rock -
Please Help Diagnosing, Possible Engine Failure!
BaysideBlue replied to BaysideBlue's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Forgot to mention, car is R34 GTT, stock engine with a trust 500ps turbo, 260rwkw @16psi. -
I think my engine is f**ked! While driving home last night, heared a thump noise from the engine bay when I gave it a little gas in first gear. would've been less than 5000rpm. Few seconds later felt loss of power, accelerate pedal not responding. So I pulled over, shut the engine and started it again. Engine starts fine but revs not idling stable, up and down from 100-900rpm. Tried to drive a few metres down the road the car started choking, rocking back and forth like a bad clutch engagement. Felt like the car couldn't go faster than 10km/h and will eventually stall. Good thing I was close to home by then so I parked the car on the spot only a block away from my house. Car was warmed up when it happened, had been driving for at least 15mins. I don't think its turbo failure as I have an aftermarket trust turbo. What do you guys think went wrong? I never had a engine failure before so I have no idea what was the problem. Appreciated.

R32 Gtr And Small Single Turbo (sst) Upgrade
BaysideBlue replied to Beer Baron's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
So, it's been a long time, has anyone had this done yet (sst on a gtr)? -
Alonso has rejected offer from Toyota. Renault is the most likely team now after BMW Sauber, Red Bull and Williams.http://en.f1-live.com/f1/en/headlines/news...104093741.shtml

wow full boost at 2900rpm?? how much power was the turbo rated at? if he made 270rwkw im guessing its an 450hp turbo, only a guess but. reason for asking I had a GT3240 on my gtt full boost at 3900-4000rpm and its rated at 550hp.
-
tried searching under his user name couldn't find the threads. do you remember the title?
-
guess people usually stick to twin setup for medium power upgrade and big single for 600hp+

911 Turbo Owners' View On Gtr Unofficial Time Of 7:38 At Nurburgring
BaysideBlue replied to BaysideBlue's topic in R35 GTR
bcoz that thread has a different topic -
won't be a problem. HKS will come up with some twinturbo kit with a separate manifold.

I have a TD0625G sitting around orginally bought for my gtt. Now that I have sold the car I plan to used it on a R33 GTR Im importing. How do you think of this turbo would work on a Rb26? I don't really want to sell it since I will be losing money and it is a genuine Trust product. I don't plan to get crazy 400awkw out of my GTR so I don't need a big single. 300awkw is all Im after with PFC, FMIC and injectors which is why I think this turbo should be up to the task and should be more reliable than the factory twins. What do you think? Thanks

so how does everyone think of this turbo on a GTR? -
Because they are not fast enough. Trust High Mount Rb25 Manifold
BaysideBlue replied to BaysideBlue's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Yes a TD06-25G kit, its going on the R33GTR I'm importing. I don't want more than 300awkw so not after a big single. What do you meaning cooking with gas? This turbo should be quite responsive for a RB26 and more reliable than factory turbos. Other than that I want to keep everything as stock as possible, maybe a fmic and injectors. I might sell trust manifold as ardie suggested if its an easier option, before then I would like to find out more about the adaptor option. -
but not with factory injectors right? how much are they(injectors) good for? 270rwkw?
