  1. Ok Im pretty sure gtt is the same as gtst. can anyone confirm about GTRs?
  2. Ok thanks. What sort of adaptor plate? See I have a Trust 550PS single turbo kit(manifold/turbo/dump/front) that I want to use on a R33GTR but as I said was meant for a RB25 so is the adaptor plate an easier/less expensive/reliable option than getting a custom manifold made?
  3. Sydney local pickup. PM me please.
  4. I thought the first picture looks impressive until I got blown away by the second one Top job!
  5. A quick question, would a Trust high mount RB25DET(R33) single turbo manifold fits on a RB26? Thank you.
  6. You will need HUGE brakes! Nice setup. Good to see a few more big power gtts coming along. Definitely do valve springs and why not port the head while you are at it? All else sounds good but make sure you have very wide rear tyres
  7. sorry to hijack this thread dont want to start another one about gtt gear knob. my question is what size thread is the gtt gear knob? M10 or M12? Im guessing the former, if so, is M12 for R34 GTR only or R33 GTR as well?
  8. Not exactly acting like a man bullying a female journalist isn't it! Well a picture says a thousand words:
  9. Despite not winning WDC Alonso looked to be a relatively happy man on the podium putting one right back at the face of poofy hamilton and ron denise by finishing 3 positions ahead of LH.
  10. I believe he pretty much took himself out, absolutely losted it into the second corner. From there onwards the commentator couldn't stop raving about how he could come back from behind as he did in GP2 . Absolute biased wankers! The final result shut him up for good! GO KIMI!
  11. KIMI RAIKKONEN
  12. I wouldn't base my judgement of the car upon just one source of review. Look for reviews from Japan or the UK motoring press. And don't worry about the power output just yet Mitsubishi always bring out the light weight, boosted versions soon after. Were they any remarks regarding the twin clutch system?
  13. Thats right! Its all about having faith in your own abilities. Talent will only get you so far....
  14. two of the sickest cars at the moment! Scuderia will be more exclusive of the two.
  15. Don't know about 15 year old GTR but JGTC/SUPER GT GT500 class cars are superior than V8 SUPERCARs. Technically more advanced in many areas like lightweight tube-frame chassis, the freedom to change engines with other models made by the manufacturer, change the alignment of the engine, forced induction and such which ensure faster corner speed and lap times than most GT racing cars in the world, if not out right grunt. You may find this interesting: "In recent years however, rule changes in both GT500 and FIA GT1 (aimed at eventually allowing both classes to compete with each other in the future) have brought the cars closer to each other, although GT500 cars still have a notable advantage in terms of aerodynamics - an FIA GT1 spec Maserati MC12 entered (and later withdrawn) by Team Goh was losing at least 1 second in the corners during (2006) pre-season testing at the Suzuka Circuit" 2007 Suzuka lap time: TAKATA DOME NSX Ryo Michigami Takashi Kogure* 1'45.601 Not only is V8 supercars slower but the fact it's a two-horse race makes it the most boring motor racing in the world. Ok maybe second only to Nascars. Maybe. Just my 2c
  16. Front end looks good. not sure of the rear though kind like a french car. What are the engine and performance specs?
  17. Swapping all my interior, parker and number plate lights to white bulbs. Comes in various shapes, wedges and bayonets. Where can I get them near the city? I know autojoy in parra stocks them but are too faraway from me. Thanks people.
  18. Got to get rid of a bunch of car parts, all useless bits from engine bay and interior. Where can I dump them in North Sydney or some where close? Thanks people.
  19. LMAO :laughing-smiley-014: team order FTW! No seriously good to see the fight for driver's championship still on. Kimi is still in with a chance. Alonso is getting closer to Hamilton, probably his last chance to win another drivers title, at least for the next few years, if he is to move back with Renault as rumoured. Don't think Renault could do much for him next year seeing the way Ferrari and Mclaren dominating this season and with BMW on the rise.
  20. and thats why we love it, all 10 pages worth (of shit in circles)
  21. The short answer is PORSCHE 959 (NO its not rear drive). The Porsche 959 is a supercar manufactured by Porsche AG from 1986 to 1989, first as a Group B rally car and later as a road going vehicle designed to satisfy FIA homologation regulations requiring that a minimum number of street legal units be built. It is widely regarded as Porsche's first true supercar.
  22. so true your comment on how skylines have such a negative social image. not that i would actually feel guilty driving one but probably don't need the extra hassle day in and day out. having said that, an R34GTR is still very tempting. i like your idea of dropping the coin with BMW especially an E46 M3 however only would look at a manual example as I understand the SMG is quite lifeless compared to a proper twin clutch system like VW's DSG. The V10 E60 M5 is still well out of my reach as you can see here http://www.drive.com.au/used/search/results.aspx?m=BMW%7CM5 maybe their used examples are more affordable in Japan I not sure. I don't generally like Mercedes-Benzes I think they not driver focused cars. Most AMG models are only offered with an auto gearbox which is boring. I would much rather a conventional manual or a mechanical auto like DSG or EVO X's SST. the only Mercedes I would consider however is a SLK55 AMG but again its a little out of my price range.
  23. As good as the GTi is it's still an 4 cylinder front wheel drive hot hatch, not really in the same league of the above cars. Yes I have driven both R32 and GTi, frankly, the GTi felt "cheap" compared to the R32.
  24. A good example 02/03 Boxster S can be had for around $70k in the used market which I think is a bargain consider they sold for +$130k when new.
  25. 17 votes for the GTR a clear winner so far. only drawback for me is as some already mentioned "r34 gtr is not an easy car to drive daily by any means. clutch is heavy and its not designed for everyday street driving" although Im not too concerned with a heavy clutch but being in a R34GTR means every kids on the road will try to race you plus you will have to be very selective on where you park the car in public. whereas for the other three you can comfortably leave in a shopping centre carpark to watch a movie or grocery shopping. EVO X was rumoured to retail around $70-80k. still within my budget. We will know for sure at the sydney motor show. as for the 300C I like the engine but not really fond of its size.
