  1. Hey, I got a very hardly used HKS Blow off valve kit for GTR for sale. Suits all models, comes with the 2 BOV's and cap to block off plumback pipe. $450
  2. MRC in carrington Rd, Castle Hill. see mark there
  3. Well i dont know for sure but its the only difference between when i changed discs n pads both times..
  4. My type flex just started squeeking too been in there for almost 2 yrs though..tried re adjusting height etc but nothing makes it go away..I'll try rubber under the spring trick
  5. Mine does the same thing.. Start of this year I had my 4000 series rotors machined, and new ultimate pads installed. After about 200km's they started squeeling. Took them back to brake place who did the machining and see what they could do, they tried other pads and still squeeked. Went back several times and never got totally fixed. I put up with the noise for a while then I went out and got a set of new rotors and RB74 pads. Bed them in as told and they do slighty squeel when just coming to a stop. I just live with it now weird thing. The rotors I had machined earlier this year, when new I installed them in my car with new ultimate pads in late 2003 and did a track day with them 2 days after putting them in..never ever squeeled or squeeked and stopped fantasticly. My only qualm was the high amount of brake dust.. Cheers Jono
  6. A cop wouldn't know if u ran a Apexi power FC, they're a direct plug in computer..
  7. Yeh that was me haven't been spotted for a while..even with big SAU sticker on the back window. U drive past in the GTR?
  8. Im definitely going to contact the EPA and enquire as to I was never pulled over for an actual test and still received this notice. cheers
  9. Here's a copy of the notice, you will notice a inspection at the lidcombe EPA office isn't required.
  10. Thanks for the input fellas..I've subsequently had a dB check at the local exhaust shop. Measured 95dB at about 5000rpm. So about 5 too much. The Exhaust control valve does sound appealing but I think i'll get a temporary way of quieting down the exhaust till I get one. Either flange plates or fit on a little pea shooter muffler or something. Just for reference I have HKS Front pipes, and a TRUST PE II exhaust system, and GTSS turbo's with MINES dump pipes, not that they would make a huge difference in the dB output although the note of the exhaust did certainly change when they went on. Only place where I think I would of been spotted by a cop, if that was how I got done, would be the city on saturday night. I did go for a quick drive around town with my little step brother. Trying to find out when & where seems to be an uphill battle though.. Cheers
  11. Definitely not for a GTR These are what GTR dumps look like..well MINES ones anyway. notice one is longer than the other
  12. I've had leaking injectors in mine and new O Rings and seals didn't fix the job. they were leaking out of the 'body' of the injector. You could physically see the fuel seeping out of the injector. I ended up getting a set of late model GTR injectors from a wrecker and with all new seals (there's 3 for each injector and total cost is about $170) from nissan and all is good. Dont get new RB26 injectors from nissan because when I was loking at doing that they wanted $270 each!! For that price you can get a set of bigger SARDS or NISMO's etc. Good luck
  13. Hey, Today I opened up an envelope addressed to me from the EPA (Environment Protection Authority). Inside there was a 'DEFECTIVE VEHICLE NOTICE' ..What tha?!?! In the Defect report section there's a tick in the 'Rectify exhaust noise level' box. The limit for your vehicle is 90 dB(A) at 5100 engine rpm. Goes on to say that it must be complied by the 22/8/05 and after this date it is illegal to use the car etc. The notice was written out last tuesday the 2nd of August. I know for a fact that I did not drive the car on monday the 1st and the tuesday. Anyone have any ideas as to how you get an EPA notice without being pulled over? Would driving past a copper who takes down my rego make sense as to how I could of gotten it? Maybe it was a neighbour who dobbed me in, that possible? I know my car isn't particularly loud for a GTR but im guessing it's over 90 dB especially at 5100rpm. If i do have to 'quieten down' my exhaust, anyone have any suggestions as to how without restricting the car too much?? I've had defects before in my last car, but this is my first ever run in with the EPA, not too impressed..grrrr Jono
  14. Hey, 32 and 33 turbo's are the same. both ceramic, not steel. N1 versions of each are steel wheeled, bigger, but not Ball bearing. R34 GTR turbo's are steel wheeled but not ball bearing. R34 GTR N1 turbo's are steel wheeled and ball bearing. Some info on here http://members.iinet.net.au/~drath/N1vsStock.txt http://www.systranbox.com/systran/box?syst...an_f=1086005489
