    I just took the car for a spin now and it didn't seem heaps laggy, boost started at about 3000rpm but didn't really pick up until around 4500 - 5000rpm, this was on 14psi

    Theres no real point in getting anything over modified cos it'll just have to come off for inspection

    Would certain mods help the VG30 spool up quicker? I'm going to look a one today that has a VG30 on the RB20det, it has a few mods like GTR Frount Mount, Turbosmart E-Boost, full 3 inch exhaust (dump pipe), GTR fuel pump.

    Shorly it must put out more power than the standard RB20 turbo though

    I've read a heap of posts regarding VG30's on the RB20det motors, and it seems everyone that has/or had one on the car wasn't happy with its performance. Are they as bad as everyone says?

    Is this a Silver top or Red top RB20DET motor. Its in a 1993 R32 Are the rocker covers just painted red?

    Its amazing how many people don't like the VG30's on the RB20's. I'm going to look at one this weekend and it has a VG30 on it, front mount, boost controller etc. So i'll post up after i've taken it for a drive to let you know.

    What state are you in?

    Its in really good condition, its the first Type-M they made. Never had any panels replaced. Paint job is still in very good condition.

    Were going to try and change it with the standard ECU and see how it runs.

    Its just come off the boat from japan, engine bay is immaculate.
